Tom Cruise and His 'New Love' Ana de Armas Are Spotted on Yacht

Cosmopolitan6 days ago
It seems like Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise might be the latest A-listers looking for love. According to pics obtained by the Daily Mail, the Oscar nominees were recently spotted vacationing on a yacht in Menorca, Spain, wearing matching straw fedora hats and getting cozy in conversation. While neither has confirmed the nature of their relationship, an insider opened up about their budding connection with the outlet.
'Tom has been showering Ana with gifts ever since they met. It's his thing—he is thoughtful,' the source said. 'First, it started with her favorite flowers, then books he thought she would want to read because she's an avid reader.'
The insider continued, 'The more they got to know each other, the bigger the gifts became. There has been jewelry, like gold bracelets and designer clothing, things like that, things every girl would love. Probably the biggest gift he has given her is being able to go anywhere in the world at a moment's notice. Not many people can do that.'
The pair first sparked romance rumors in February, when they were photographed during a dinner outing in London. At the time, another source denied dating rumors, telling People that they were with their agents 'discussing potential collaborations down the line' and 'appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.'
During her From the World of John Wick: Ballerina press tour in May, Ana confirmed that she and Tom had a few projects lined up, telling Good Morning America that they were 'working together on a lot of things.'
Tom also pulled up to support Ana at the premiere of Ballerina on June 3, and she expressed her gratitude for the Mission: Impossible star on the red carpet.
She said that he's been 'unbelievable' and 'really amazing' at showing up for her, telling Variety, 'But you know what, he supports every movie. He really wants the industry and cinema to go well, and people going to the theaters.'
Neither Tom nor Ana has revealed details surrounding their future projects, but for now, it seems that their bond might be purely professional.

Rob Reiner and Christopher Guest Reunite in Hilarious 'Spinal Tap II: The End Continues 'Trailer

The long-awaited sequel to 1984's 'Spinal Tap' will rock out in theaters in September Spinal Tap is back! On Thursday, July 24, Bleecker Street debuted the trailer for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues — the sequel to the groundbreaking 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap at Hall H for San Diego Comic-Con attendees. Rob Reiner, who directed the original movie and costarred as the fictional documentarian Martin Di Bergi, returns for the sequel, alongside original This Is Spinal Tap band members David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer). The trailer revisits classic moments from the original movie and finds the surviving Spinal Tap members in different places at the time of their reunion. Hubbins appears to play in a mariachi band, Smalls does commercials for cryptocurrency and Tufnel performs with a folk band in a pub. As the group reunites for their first concert in years in New Orleans, they grapple with several new gags and try to convince Questlove to perform as their drummer. "41 years after the release of the groundbreaking mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, the now estranged bandmates David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls are forced to reunite for one final concert," reads an official synopsis for the movie. "Spinal Tap II: The End Continues also marks the resurrection of documentarian Marty Di Bergi, who once again tries to capture his favorite metal gods as they contemplate mortality—and the hope that their 12th drummer doesn't join them in The Great Beyond." "Joined by music royalty Paul McCartney and Elton John, Spinal Tap wrestles with their checkered past to put on a concert that they hope will solidify their place in the pantheon of rock 'n' roll," the synopsis adds. Deadline first reported that Reiner, 78, was launching a sequel to This Is Spinal Tap back in May 2022. "For so many years, we said, 'Nah.' It wasn't until we came up with the right idea how to do this," he said at the time. "You don't want to just do it to do it. You want to honor the first one and push it a little further with the story." The sequel will include star-studded cameos from music legends, including Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. Paul Shaffer and Fran Drescher, who appeared in the original mockumentary as a promoter and the band's publicist Bobbi Flekman, respectively, will also reprise their roles in the new film. Ahead of the sequel's release, the original rockumentary returned to theaters over the July 4th weekend to celebrate its 41st anniversary. When Reiner spoke with PEOPLE recently, he reflected on how the original movie grew into a cult classic over the decades. 'It's taken a while, but you never know when you're going to start shooting something if it's going to take,' Reiner said. 'And this certainly didn't take right away!' Former Food Network Star Recalled Anne Burrell ‘Going Through Some Stuff' as Her Death Is Ruled a Suicide

A little over a month after her unexpected passing, Anne Burrell's death has been ruled a suicide. The New York City medical examiner's office has determined that the 55-year-old Food Network star's cause of death was from 'acute intoxication due to the combined effects of diphenhydramine, ethanol, cetirizine, and amphetamine,' according to People. As Star reported last month, Burrell was 'found next to dozens of pills,' per the New York Post and her husband, Stuart Claxton, found her 'unresponsive' in the shower of their Brooklyn, New York home. Additionally, a rep for the New York City Fire Department told Page Six that the person who called 911 said Burrell went into 'cardiac arrest' and was 'DOA [dead on arrival].' Days after her passing, fellow Food Network star Duff Goldman hinted that the former Worst Cooks in America host had been privately struggling years prior. 'Anne and I became friends in probably 2006,' Goldman wrote in a June 19 Instagram post. 'She was going through some stuff and I had heard that she was feeling it, so on a trip to NYC from Baltimore I had made her a cake that said 'Don't let the bastards win.' She never did.' 'We had a complex relationship, and I remember the last conversation we had before our paths drifted was a pretty feisty debate about the merits of catfish,' he recalled. 'I believe the words 'trash fish,' 'tastes like mud,' and 'cake boy' were used.' 'Anne and I always had a spirited and somewhat acerbic back and forth,' Goldman continued. 'I really never knew why our paths drifted but I always hoped that wherever she was, Anne was doing well and was finding some happiness.' Goldman explained that about two years ago, he attended an event in New York City where he ran into the former Secrets of a Restaurant Chef host. 'Now, at this point we hadn't spoken in years, and I won't go into what we talked about but I will say that that conversation left my heart lifted and full of light, for it truly seemed to me that Anne really had found a measure of happiness and love,' Goldman penned. 'Life is tough, and we have to be tough to get through it.' 'Anne was as tough as they come,' he added, 'but when you got past the armor there was a depth of compassion and kindness that was absolutely beautiful. My heart sings when I think of the love and tranquility that it seems Anne had found recently.' Burrell is survived by her husband and his son, Javier, her mother, Marlene, and sister, Jane.

The actress moved to the beat of Bad Bunny's "Baile INoLVIDABLE" Salma Hayek Pinault is unforgettable in her teeny-tiny white bikini. The actress, 58, celebrated the release of her Sports Illustrated Mexico Swimsuit 2025 cover with a sultry Instagram Reel of herself dancing to Bad Bunny's "Baile INoLVIDABLE." The clip begins with her looking into the camera as she teases, pulling the strings of her bikini bottom open. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! As she pretends to pull them loose, the clip cuts to Hayek Pinault dancing on top of a rooftop overlooking a mountainous backdrop with one hand in the air and the other gently grazing her abs. Her dance moves don't stop as she gets her triangular bikini top adjusted. After that's all done, she continues to move confidently to the sound of the music. At one point in the video, the camera pans closer to Hayek Pinault to show off the assortment of gold chains across her body. Without missing a step, Hayek flips her hair as she dances in place to the music's beat. The clip then cuts to some of the shots that were taken for the magazine. "My cover of @ in now out in Mexico with a special edition 💃🏻🎉🇲🇽 #VIVAMEXICO," Hayek Pinault wrote in the caption of the clip in English and Spanish. It's no surprise that Hayek Pinault is comfortable in a swimsuit, as she made her debut as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl for the American version of the special issue this year. Olivia ''Livvy'' Dunne, Jordan Chiles and Lauren Chan also cover the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. 'Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has always been about more than swimsuits and stunning imagery,' MJ Day, the editor in chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, said of the Mexican actress' first-ever cover. 'It's about creating a platform to capture moments that define our times, celebrating people who are shaping culture, and showcasing beauty on a world stage," she continued. For Hayek Pinault, however, she couldn't believe she was even considered for the honor, as she explained during an appearance on Today in March. "I remember when I was young and hot, I used to look at this magazine," said Hayek Pinault. "I wanted to see who was the new gorgeous model, the new girl of the moment. And it never crossed my mind that I could be on that cover because they didn't look like me."
