Border Patrol morale goes through the roof, 'dramatically' changed under Trump administration
"A few months ago, before the election and before the previous administration, we were mostly doing processing of detained individuals," Hernandez told Fox News Digital. "That's an administrative duty that is part of our job, but it used to be a small sliver of it, [and we were] doing a large portion of that. Now it's inverse."
"Now we're doing small slivers of the processing, and we're doing the bulk of patrolling duties. Most of our agents are out there patrolling."
Chinese Illegal Immigrant Crossings That Surged During Biden Admin A 'National Security Concern,' Expert Warns
"We're historically one of the busiest sectors," the homeland security agent said. "We're at [a] 91% reduction [rate] over last year's amounts, but that's because we're out here every single day."
"If we were to take our foot off the gas and just assume the border's secure, then we would lose what we had gained. So every single day we have to invest in patrolling," he added.

According to the White House, as of April 28 of this year, illegal border crossings "are down by 95%" when compared to numbers under the Biden administration.
Border Czar Tom Homan's Message To Anti-ice Protesters: 'You Want Some? Come Get Some'
Previously restrained by budget cuts that impeded the completion of their duties, the border patrol agents communicated a renewed sense of faith for increasing safety for all involved.
"People are less inclined to climb a fence of this magnitude," Hernandez relayed while pointing to the southern border wall. "If they do, they have to go up high, then our cameras or our agents can spot them if they go up high. So that's the advantage of having robust infrastructure on the border that buys us time to get here."
"Smugglers will try anything. It's shocking that they will risk somebody's life by getting them up on a really small, handmade ladder," he continued. "[It's one] way somebody might try to defeat the border wall… and people will always try."
Trump Stunned By Change In Southern Border Crossings: 'Hard To Believe'
The empathy portrayed by agents when considering the human element of deportations and illegal crossings is an echoed sentiment among Tucson sector Border Patrol chief, Sean McGoffin.
Fast added, "The men and the women of the patrol are really what makes it run. That's what keeps our country safer, the people who are giving up those games with their kids and their [holidays] and working night shifts – that's what keeps our country safe. That's really what it is, the men and the women of the border patrol."Original article source: Border Patrol morale goes through the roof, 'dramatically' changed under Trump administration

Top Biden Aide Had $4 Million Incentive to Secure a 2024 Win
Mike Donilon, the longtime strategist and confidant for former President Joseph R. Biden Jr., told congressional investigators Thursday that he would have received a $4 million bonus had Mr. Biden won re-election last year. That shows how Mr. Donilon held a financial interest in Mr. Biden's remaining in the presidential race, all while Mr. Donilon was part of a very small inner circle of aides who kept damaging information from Mr. Biden. Mr. Donilon had also warned him that his 'biggest issue is the perception of age.' The admission from Mr. Donilon, revealed by a person briefed on his testimony who also confirmed that Mr. Donilon said he was paid $4 million for his work on the campaign, came during testimony before a House Republican-led Oversight Committee investigation into Mr. Biden's mental acuity during his term in office. It was earlier reported by Axios. Mr. Donilon was among the Biden aides who resisted calls for him to end his re-election campaign even after a debate performance that prompted a swell of opposition from within the Democratic Party. As recently as March, well after Mr. Biden left office, Mr. Donilon told the Harvard Political Review that Mr. Biden should have remained in the race and could still serve as president. 'I still think he's the best person to be president today,' Mr. Donilon said then. It is not uncommon for top campaign aides to be promised what is often referred to as a 'win bonus' should their candidate prevail. But the amount that Mr. Donilon would have received had Mr. Biden won is a remarkable sum. The $4 million he was already paid dwarfed the salaries of other senior campaign officials for Mr. Biden — and later for Vice President Kamala Harris. Mr. Donilon began his opening statement on Thursday by defending Mr. Biden's record in office and his own role working for the president. He said Mr. Biden was not diminished by his advanced age. 'Every president ages over the four years of a presidency and President Biden did as well, but he also continued to grow stronger and wiser as a leader as a result of being tested by some of the most difficult challenges any president has ever faced,' Mr. Donilon told the committee, according to a copy of his opening statement reviewed by The New York Times. 'I thought that experience was enormously valuable for the nation,' he said. 'I believed that President Biden was the best person to lead the country on the day he took the oath of office, and I continued to believe that was true every day he served as president.' He said Mr. Biden was 'deeply engaged and in command on critical issues.' But later in his testimony, the person briefed on his remarks said, Mr. Donilon conceded that he was often 'frustrated' by 'the visuals of President Biden that people were seeing.' Mr. Donilon, through an aide, declined to be interviewed. Mr. Biden's spokesman also declined to comment.

The Smithsonian removes a Trump impeachment reference from an exhibit but says it's temporary
NEW YORK — The Smithsonian Institution has removed from an exhibit a reference to President Donald Trump's two impeachments, a decision that comes as the White House exerts pressure to offer a more positive — and selective — view of American history. A spokesperson said the exhibit eventually 'will include all impeachments.'
