Warren said: 'Congratulations to all who have won or come close, especially and of course to Donald, who has done and continues to do so much for hospitality AND entertainment in Scotland.
'It is a very tough time for everyone right now, but it does seem the hospitality industry is really feeling the heat – people simply don't have the money to go out as often as they did, or they're scared to spend the money they do have.
'We need to socialise, we need that break and to let off steam, escape all the day-to-day worries – and that's what our friends in hospitality provide.
'With many closures and difficulties, it's important to recognise those who go above and beyond to give the public that chance to zone out, relax and de-stress.
'That's what these awards are for – it's a nod and a thank you from the public to the place and people they appreciate, those who do it better than the rest or just offer something really special.
'So while we have big names performing here tonight, the real stars are the award winners from all over Scotland, venues and businesses who stand out every single day and night.
'Thank you to every winner, every highly recommended and every business who perhaps hasn't won tonight but is out there working hard every day to support us all – sadly, there can be only one winner in each category and some are very close.'
The awards were determined through public nominations, votes, and on-the-ground judging.
The awards served as a celebration of resilience, excellence, and community impact.

Ebbw Vale's Nathan Wyburn honoured by Blaenau Gwent Council
Nathan Wyburn, originally from Ebbw Vale in Blaenau Gwent, was presented with a Special Recognition Award by Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council for his contributions to equality, mental health, and LGBTQ+ rights. He also helped to hold a Pride event in Blaenau Gwent. Councillor Chris Smith, the council's equality member champion and presiding member, said: "With Nathan's connections, hard work and all-round enthusiasm, we were able to deliver a truly memorable event that was a landmark moment—fostering a sense of unity, respect and joy among both allies and LGBTQ+ individuals." Mr Wyburn first gained national attention on Britain's Got Talent in 2011 with his Marmite-on-toast portrait of Simon Cowell. Since then, he has continued to create thought-provoking artwork using unusual materials such as ketchup, glitter, tea, feathers, and sweets. He said: "I'm honoured to receive this recognition. "I'm incredibly proud to have been brought up in this area and I really feel it gave me a strong basis for who I've become as a person and an artist. "I endeavour to continue my artwork and advocacy going forward and always hope to receive the call to come home and help with future projects and initiatives in the area. "Thank you." Mr Wyburn played a key role in organising Blaenau Gwent's inaugural Pride event, which included curating the artist line-up, opening the event, and co-compering with fellow advocate Wayne Courtney. His "Gay Icons" exhibition was also featured at the celebration. Despite his international success, Mr Wyburn remains deeply connected to his hometown, often leading community art projects and school sessions. His commitment to both art and advocacy continues to inspire people across Blaenau Gwent and beyond.

BBC Strictly Come Dancing legend's heartbreaking admission after being dropped from show
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Strictly Come Dancing icon Dame Arlene Phillips made a heartbreaking admission after being dropped from the hit BBC show. Arlene, 82, was cut from the show ahead of the 2009 series. Her departure ignited a debate on ageism as she was replaced by the much younger Alesha Dixon, who was 30 at the time. Despite her extensive experience in dance and choreography, Arlene learned of her axing via the radio, reports The Mirror. She recounted the moment as her "biggest disappointment". In an interview with The Sunday Times, she explained: "I loved my time on Strictly and it was tough when I left, but I got up and carried on with life." Arlene also disclosed that she "kicked, screamed and sobbed" upon learning she would no longer be part of the show she had served since 2004. At the time, it was rumoured that Arlene had been dropped from the show for being "too old". Particularly as her replacement, Alesha, had no experience judging a dancing show, but had previously lifted the Glitterball Trophy. (Image: BBC) And Arlene says she wishes she had "asked the right questions" after BBC bosses made the decisions. She said: "I was very fragile because I had a bereavement the day before [her manager died]. She lamented not getting clear answers and being strung along with the prospect of an expanded judging panel: "I wanted to know in detail and I wanted to know the real reason at the point when they decided for me to go, yet they kept me hanging on for so long with the possibility that there would be five judges." At the time, BBC One boss Jay Hunt refuted claims that Arlene's age played a part in her departure from the show. He remarked: "We wanted to refresh the format, it's about ensuring the show remains as compelling for viewers as it always has been. It was not an easy decision. "We looked at the panel - Bruno is the joker, Craig is the Simon Cowell, Len is the head judge. It was obvious she was the one to change." (Image: Ian West/PA Photos) He further commented: "Strictly is an entertainment show. As a former champion, Alesha knows exactly what it takes to win. Her eye for great performance and her charisma and charm make Alesha a great addition to the panel." Alesha Dixon stayed with the show for three series before she announced she would be leaving. She then became a judge on Britain's Got Talent. In a poignant revelation to The Guardian's Cutting magazine, Arlene disclosed the most important lesson life has taught her: "Life is never fair." Post-Strictly, Arlene led the BBC's So You Think You Can Dance?, a Pop Idol-style contest, and appeared on I'm a Me Out of Here!. In 2022, she served as a guest judge on Dancing on Ice and last October, she took on the role of executive producer for Toys the Musical.
