Adam Levine revealed he once got kicked out of a club in Los Angeles because he accidentally confronted the owner
At the time, he was defending a friend when the owner said something "really nasty" to them
Levine is currently promoting Maroon 5's upcoming album Love Is LikeAdam Levine is recalling his early days partying on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
In an interview on Hot Ones that aired Thursday, July 3, Levine was asked if he had any cherished memories getting kicked out of rock clubs in his youth.
"Wow, bro, you're blowing my mind. That's the coolest question anyone's ever asked," Levine, 46, began.
"There was one time where I got kicked out of a place when someone said something really nasty to a friend of mine. It was really ugly what they said," he recalled. "I don't remember that much other than confronting the dude. It was this big guy too. He was too big for me. But I had had some drinks so I was feeling brave."
The Maroon 5 frontman said he "got up in his face" and before he could "do or say much," the confrontation was over.
"All of a sudden I felt my whole body getting slung over a shoulder of a larger man who was a security guard and I got thrown out of this club so fast. I was like, 'What just happened?' And the guy was like, 'Well, the person that you're confronting, he owns the club.'"
Levine made an appearance on Hot Ones to promote Maroon 5's upcoming album Love Is Like, which is out Aug. 15. So far, the band has released singles "All Night" and "Priceless," which features LISA of BLACKPINK.
Speaking with PEOPLE in May about the latter, he revealed that the song was written about his wife Behati Prinsloo.
"It was the first song that I wrote for the album," Levine told PEOPLE.
"It's just this really fun, Summery, chill vibe song that always felt really good," he continued. "The song kind of, you know, being about my wife, was the first song out the gates that felt good, felt positive, really positive, and fun. It's hard to explain, but it just instantly hit me."
On working with LISA, the "Payphone" singer said she "elevated" the song "even more."
"It kind of needed something extra, and she was like the perfect something extra at the perfect moment," he said.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in April, Levine confirmed the band was set to release music in 2025.
"I'm really excited about it. An album is coming over the summer. Non-specifically around the summertime. And then, even more non-specifically, there is a tour coming in the fall-ish," the "Moves Like Jagger" singer said.
Love Is Like will follow 2021's Jordi, 2014's Red Pill Blues, 2012's Overexposed, 2010's Hands All Over, 2007's It Won't Be Soon Before Long and 2002's Songs About Jane.

114-Year-Old Woman Reveals the 1 Food She Credits to Living a Long Life — and Shares Her Other Secrets to Longevity

Bonita Gibson turned 114 years old on July 4, making her one step closer to securing the title of world's oldest living person Ethel Caterham, 115, earned the Guinness World Records title in April after Inah Canabarro Lucas died at age 116 The oldest person ever, Jeanne Louise Calment, lived for 122 years before she died, per Guinness World RecordsBonita Gibson, who turned 114 on July 4, has revealed her secrets to longevity. The Michigan woman's family told PEOPLE that one particular food — the potato — is a main contributing factor to her living a long life. Potatoes have been a constant for Gibson for more than a century, especially after she married Kenneth Richard, who worked in the potato industry for decades in Idaho after they wed in 1930. Richard retired in 1977 and died in 2003, but Gibson's family said she continues eating potatoes to this day. Gibson, a resident of the Waltonwood Carriage Park senior living facility in Canton, also shared that not drinking, not smoking and eating healthy are some of her other secrets for living past 100 years old. Remaining positive and constantly smiling were some others. Gibson, who was born July 4, 1911, is among the oldest people in the world, having survived mumps, measles and whooping cough as a child as well as COVID when she was 109, her family told PEOPLE. Her relatives also said that she drove until she was 99, flew on an airplane for the first time at 100 and visited a casino for the first time at 102. Nowadays, Gibson enjoys reading, playing cards and speaking with her son Richard, 88, every night. She also has three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Gibson is also nearing the Guinness World Records' title for world's oldest living person. Ethel Caterham, 115, claimed the record in April, following the death of 116-year-old Brazilian nun Inah Canabarro Lucas. Caterham, who lives in a nursing home in Surrey in South East England, also revealed what it takes to live a long life. "Never arguing with anyone, I listen and I do what I like,' she said, per the Associated Press. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Sharing more secrets to longevity, Caterham once said, per Guinness World Records: 'Say yes to every opportunity because you never know what it will lead to. Have a positive mental attitude and have everything in moderation.' According to the record-keeping organization, the oldest person ever, Jeanne Louise Calment of France, lived for 122 years and 164 days before she died in 1997. Read the original article on People

Danny DeVito reveals actress daughter Lucy got married: 'It was very emotional'

Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman's eldest daughter Lucy DeVito has tied the knot! The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress, 42, got married to her partner on June 28, Entertainment Weekly has learned. Danny had nothing but positive things to say about the ceremony in a recent interview with PEOPLE, describing the big day as an 'amazing' and 'wonderful' experience. 'We just had a good time,' Danny told the outlet. 'You make the speech and the whole thing. It was very emotional and really cool." The Always Sunny actor also noted that Lucy and her husband prefer to keep their private lives to themselves, but that the couple is 'very happy.' He also noted that the newlyweds are also the proud parents of a son named Carmine. "They already have the bundle of joy," he added. "It was a supreme highlight of my life." A true father-daughter duo, Danny and Lucy have frequently collaborated with one another on television projects like FXX's animated series Little Demon and onstage in the 2023 Broadway production of Theresa Rebeck's play, I Need That. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly ahead of the play's opening night, Danny expressed his excitement over getting to see his daughter make her Broadway debut from right onstage next to her. 'She's a wonderful actress and a great kid and we have a good time together,' he said at the time. 'We've been working together for a couple years now on things that we put together producing at [DeVito's production company] Jersey Films. We're developing a lot of things now.' In addition to Lucy, Danny and Rhea also share daughter Grace 'Gracie' Fan DeVito and son Jacob 'Jake' Daniel DeVito. While the couple has gone their separate ways since they originally tied the knot in 1982, they remain a strong family unit. "We're still separated, but we see each other often, and we're still a family," Perlman told PEOPLE in 2022. "We can do things together, we can do things separately. I'm really, really glad that Danny and I were able to navigate some rough days to be able to have this different kind of relationship. I think it's pretty rare, but we agree on so many things that it makes sense." Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly
