Emmerdale's Danny Miller ‘really misses' his dad amid dementia battle
Danny Miller, best known for his portrayal of Aaron Dingle on ITV's Emmerdale – and for being crowned 'king' of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here – recently opened up his father's battle with dementia.
While appearing on Loose Women, Danny became emotional, admitting he's 'lost his dad' to dementia.
The 33-year-old actor recently revealed that his father, Vince Miller, is living with dementia. Vince is a well-known figure in Manchester's entertainment scene, having spent decades working as a compère and host for some of the UK's biggest acts, including The Beatles and Take That.
Danny said to Denise Welch that he really misses his dad and that picking up the phone to him 'just isn't possible anymore'. He wanted to remind anyone suffering first or second hand with dementia that 'they're not alone'.

Speaking candidly, he said: 'Sometimes when we visit him in the care home, we get the opportunity to have a good visit, and there are bad visits as well.'

His character, Aaron, quickly became a fan favourite. From the trauma of childhood abuse at the hands of his father Gordon to grappling with his sexuality and mental health, Aaron's journey has been anything but easy. More Trending

Away from the soap world, he is the co-founder of the charity Once Upon a Smile, which provides support to bereaved families. The charity's mission resonates even more deeply with Danny now, as he experiences firsthand the challenges of supporting a loved one through illness.
Danny has taken to social media to document his experiences navigating his father's journey with dementia in the hope of helping other families.

Katie Price forced to delete Princess' Instagram post after awkward mistake
A red-faced Katie Price was forced to delete an Instagram tribute to daughter Princess Andre this week. 47-year-old glamour model and personality Katie shares influencer daughter Princess (full name Princess Tiaamii Crystal Esther Andre) with former husband Peter Andre. Earlier this week, she took to social media to wish her 17-year-old daughter a happy 18th birthday. Posting a picture of Princess to her Instagram Stories, Katie wrote: 'Happy 18th birthday to the most amazing daughter and my best friend @princess_andre I love you so much'. Realising the mistake she'd made, Katie then took the post down and replaced it with another. '2 days until Princess turns 18 can't believe it xx,' she wrote in the updated post. The TV personality is also mother of Harvey (23), Junior (20), Jett (11), and Bunny (10). Harvey's father is footballer Dwight Yorke, while Junior and Princess were both born from her four-year marriage to Peter Andre. She shares youngest children Jett and Bunny with ex Kieran Hayler, to whom she was married between 2013 to 2018. Princess has indicated her intention of following in her mother's footsteps, previously sharing her ambition of becoming a millionaire before she turns 20. She's already scored brand deals with the likes of Superdrug and PrettyLittleThing, and is also launching her own jewellery line. It was announced earlier that year that she would headline her own ITV show, which follows her journey into the public eye. While Katie is not expected to appear in the show, dad Peter and brother Junior will cameo, along with Peter's wife, Emily. In March, Princess sparked controversy by posting a picture of the £25,000 Audi A1 she purchased after passing her driving test. While many accused her of buying the car with her rich and famous parents' money, Princess hit back, claiming she had her own income. More Trending 'These comments are so funny. To everyone out there, yes I work and yes I earn my own money which I'm super proud of and so thankful that I am lucky enough to buy my own car xx,' she wrote. Mum Katie also commented, saying: 'So proud and so scared at the same time. My baby girl turns 18 next month too so lots of exciting things we will be doing together.' Of Princess passing her driving test, proud dad Peter wrote in his column: 'She kept telling me she failed four times. But you know what they say – or maybe don't say! – The fifth time's a charm. 'As I said to her, it's actually better that it's taken a while for her to pass because at least she knows now that she genuinely deserves to pass and she can feel confident on the roads.' Denise Welch heaps praise on son Matty Healy after divisive Glasto set
Denise Welch has praised her son Matty Healy - frontman of rock band The 1975 - after his Friday night headline performance at Glastonbury divided fans Denise Welch - mum of The 1975's Matty Healy - has heaped praise on her son after his Glastonbury Festival headline set on the Pyramid Stage proved divisive amongst fans. The 36-year-old rocker, who hit the headlines in 2023 for his brief romance with Taylor Swift and is believed to have influenced her latest album The Tortured Poets Department, was branded 'insufferable' by some fans. While others left after being heard saying it 'wasn't their vibe'. The first thing they took issue with was Matty opening the band's set holding a pint of Guinness he didn't seem to drink, with a cigarette in the other hand. He then went on a rant in which he described himself as 'probably the best songwriter of my generation', telling the crowd: "What this moment is making me realise is that - yeah. This moment is making me realise. I probably am the best, so I'm probably the best songwriter of my generation. A poet, ladies and gentlemen, is what I am. I wanted to remind you - this poetry, I believed in it for you," he said in a dig to his ex Taylor Swift. READ MORE: Glastonbury Festival's mystery Patchwork act's identity revealed with telling clue But some fans weren't here for it, with one writing on social media: 'The thing which makes Matty Healy so insufferable is it's very easy to imagine that all the b**lendery he does on stage isn't just for the performance, but that he would genuinely sashay into Gregg's reciting 14th century French poetry.' Another moaned: 'Matty Healy swaggering about with a pint he has no intention of drinking is the most annoying thing I've ever seen." While a third said: "Should have been all about the #1975 but Healy has decided to hijack it and turn in a car crash performance. You can see it in the bands faces. All he had to do was hold it together for one day and he's failed miserably." In a video shared by his Loose Women star mum Denise - who watched her son's performance from the crowd and posed for snaps with various celebs backstage - Matty appeared to look emotional at one point and was given hugs by his band members and entourage. Posting the clip to her Instagram stories, 67-year-old Denise called The 1975's performance a '1000/10' and said it was an 'unbelievable night'. Denise, who shares Matty with ex-husband Tim Healy, was at the gig with her current partner, Matty's stepdad Lincoln Townley. But the former Coronation Street star has ruled out camping and is staying off site in what looks like a glamping set up with a hot tub. She told the Mirror she had been "stressing out" ahead of her son's appearance and said: "I've not really been a festival bunny - I don't really do festivals. "The only one I've been to is Coachella. It was all VIP and very lovely. Hot, sunny and gorgeous and I thought 'Oh, this is okay'. And no one stays there, everyone goes home at the end of the night. I am stressed about Glastonbury." She added: "I am not going to stay for the whole three days. I would rather be able to dip in and out. I might dip back in for the Sunday night to see Rod [Stewart]."
