Summary
It was a breath of fresh air atDior. Ringing in a new era withJonathan Andersonat the helm of Dior, the luxury fashion label debuted a new vision under the designer with itsSpring/Summer 2026menswear collection. Showing atParis Fashion Week, Anderson began his new role at Dior with the reveal of a new but old logo change. Speaking toVogue Business, the designer commented on the importance of drawing inspiration from Dior's heritage. Anderson revealed that he first began with the Dior branding label, reaching back into the house's archives to refine the block letter aesthetic. Refining the text, he brings the old with the new, as the Irish designer attempts to rebuild the house.
Expectations were high for Anderson's menswear collection as it set the tone for the future of the house of Dior. An event poised to redefine the codes of the venerable Parisian house, the industry is keenly watching how his unique blend of conceptual artistry and modern craftsmanship will intersect with Dior's storied legacy of elegance and precise tailoring. His debut collection is a play on history and affluence, as he decodes the language of the house before he attempts to recode it. While the show had a miles long attendance of A-listers, the set was a nod to the importance of art. In a room modeled to mirror the velvet-lined interiors of Berlin's Gemäldegalerie, featuring two beautiful paintings by Jean Siméon Chardin (1699-1779). An understated commentary on creating art o display, the museum room setting fuels a sense of liberation and joyfulness amongst masterpieces.
Joy is brought from the art of dressing. As the collection unfolds, all eyes are on how Anderson navigates Dior's foundational principles—the New Look silhouette, the exacting tailoring, the subtle luxury—through his distinctive lens. Will we see his characteristic play with proportion and volume? How will his love for tactile, artful textures manifest within Dior's sophisticated fabrics? His past work often subverts expectations, offering garments that are both familiar and entirely novel. For Dior Men SS26, expect a collection that dialogues with history while speaking a distinctly contemporary language, setting a compelling new direction for the brand's future. Anderson reimagines the Bar Jacket in an an Irish Donegal tweed—a nod to his own heritage. A common theme in the collection saw the designer deconstruct formality, with ties worn backwards and cape-like overcoats paired with short trousers and sporty tube socks. Tuxedo shirts and waistcoats were paired with denim, with some even with silk evening scarves. Historical references are given a contemporary twist, bringing 18th and 19th-century French menswear a modern silhouette. Even accessories spoke volumes: the Dior Book Tote received a masculine makeover, featuring literary covers like Charles Baudelaire'sLes Fleurs du Maland Truman Capote'sIn Cold Blood. Smart pastel knits, round-toed CD loafers, suede logo-emblazoned slippers, and elegant sandals showcased a readiness for the market.

A$AP Rocky's AWGE SS26 Returns to Paris in "Obligatory Fashion"

Summary It was a big week forA$AP Rockyas he returned to Paris to present his second collection forAWGE. Following a surprise appearance atJonathan Anderson's debut Dior show, Rocky capped off his fashion week with the unveiling of the collection titled 'Obligatory Fashion,' that appeared to be set to new tracks off of Rocky's highly-anticipated new album. The show served as a compelling commentary on how necessity breeds trends, how once-stigmatized 'ghetto' styles now define luxury, and how institutional dress evolves into cultural iconography. As guests entered the show, they were greeted by masked uniform men, resembling SWAT individuals. Guests had to go through set of metal detectors which also lined the runway. Drawing from his own court house experience of his most recent public trial, the collection and set was a comment on the powerful alchemy that converts items born from practicality or social circumstance into symbols of aspirational style. This narrative unfolded through garments that challenged perceptions, blurring lines between what's considered foundational and what's deemed cutting-edge. On the runway, Rocky offered tantalizing glimpses of his forthcoming PUMA footwear collaboration, featuring the striking Mostro Gabbia and a distressed interpretation of the classic Speedcat. Further elevating the footwear, Christian Louboutin lent select silhouettes, which were then customized with bespoke AWGE charms by Pavē Niteō. Pavē Niteō, fresh from their diamond-encrusted Ray-Ban debut at the Met Gala, also supplied Rocky's personal jewelry for the evening, reinforcing the collection's high-wattage appeal. The collection was quintessentially Rocky, showcasing varying sides of the the multi-hyphenate musician. Taking inspiration from the suits he wore to the court and his everyday garb that consists of oversized bomber jackets and untucked gingham button-downs, the collection hinged on wearability for numerous occasions. From double-breasted cream and vibrant green suits to multi-layered boxers under low-riding chinos, the collection touches upon every facet of Rocky's fashion wardrobe. Explicit and implicit statements were made, including wearable bullet-proof vests and jerseys that read, 'Not Guilt, Stop Snitchin.' A family affair, front row saw the likes of Rihanna, their son, A$AP Nast and more support Rocky on his second show.

Charlize Theron's Style Streak Is a Masterclass in Fierce Femininity

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Charlize Theron's recent style streak is as fierce as her superhero movie character. For the past few days, Theron has been all over New York City and Los Angeles attending events to promote her new film, The Old Guard 2. Known for her glamorous red-carpet style, Theron's latest ensembles are a departure from the typical floor-length gown. Instead, the Oscar-winning actor and longtime face of Dior has embraced more edgy looks, some inspired by menswear but styled in a fiercely feminine way. On Monday, Theron started her day in a sweatshirt-style Alexander McQueen minidress featuring a long-sleeve, black crewneck top with a crystal, pearl, and lace fringe bottom. The actor paired the look with chunky gladiator-style black sandals. Later, the Bombshell star changed into a modern tuxedo look from Givenchy for an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The outfit featured a pleated nude-colored high-neck halter top with black tailored tuxedo pants. Upon arriving at the show, the actor was photographed wearing a thick-lapel black tux jacket with the look. The next day, Theron continued with the structured pants silhouette in a head-to-toe Bottega Veneta ensemble. She looked safari-chic in a slightly oversized beige button-down tucked into a pair of white wide-leg pants with a cuffed button hem. Theron polished off the look with the brand's Large Andiamo woven tote bag and signature knot mule sandals. Later, the Monster star changed into a sweater and miniskirt fit from Chloé. She looked effortless in the slouchy navy sweater, which was styled over the multi-colored paisley-patterned skirt. Theron paired the easy look with glossy red Mary Jane pumps with several buckled straps, plus layers of gold chain necklaces. Theron's NYC style streak came to an end on Wednesday as she made her way to the West Coast for The Old Guard 2 Los Angeles premiere. For the red-carpet event that evening, the actor evoked her superhuman character and struck a fierce pose in an eye-catching black fishnet bodysuit. Theron, who is a fan of the pantless look, paired the high-neck Givenchy bodysuit with a sharp-lapel blazer and square-toe calf-high black boots. To complement the look, the actor wore her hair slicked back with simple diamond cluster earrings. With the film's July 2 release still a few days away, we can only assume that there'll be a few more Theron looks in our future. Colour and ease lift Paris Men's Fashion Week

Colours ran wild and silhouettes softened at Paris Men's Fashion Week, which ends Sunday, as designers brought a rare breath of fresh air to a gloomy fashion climate. Despite the heavy news cycle and economic turbulence affecting the luxury sector, this Fashion Week was a "shot of creativity that felt incredibly good", Alice Feillard, men's buying director at Galeries Lafayette, told AFP. The spring-summer 2026 season "is much more creative than the previous ones, which were a bit duller", said Adrien Communier, the fashion editor at GQ France. Both experts observed a more relaxed vibe, with Feillard pointing to "good humour" and "optimism", while Communier noted a "lighter mood". "With so many debuts, there was a sense of renewal. And so, I found that people were more curious," he added. After a notable women's show in March, Julian Klausner made waves Thursday with his first menswear show for Dries Van Noten, while Jonathan Anderson's long-awaited debut at Dior drew applause on Friday. A renewed burst of creativity lit up the runways, most visibly through bold colour choices. Brown tones and pastels made way for a richer, more saturated palette for next summer. Saint Laurent opened the week with violet, navy, orange and moss green, while Pharrell Williams at Louis Vuitton channelled Indian motifs and hues. Dries Van Noten made a splash with bold fuchsia and blood red, while Kenzo exploded with candy pink, aquatic blue and chick yellow. - 'nonchalant elegance' - Dior Homme took a more restrained approach, showcasing rich tones like a deep forest green on structured pieces. The tones sometimes appeared as prints -- tiger at Kenzo, childlike safari at Louis Vuitton and floral at Dior. At Comme des Garcons Plus, prints leaned into pop-style 1970s geometry -- a look also seen at Amiri, Saint Laurent and Junya Watanabe, who embraced flared trousers. Stripes were ubiquitous but subtle, adding detail without overwhelming. Designers leaned into fluidity with flared trousers, long jackets, open shirts and an ongoing pyjama trend. "There's a sort of nonchalant elegance in having a very fluid yet thoughtfully designed silhouette," Communier said. Last season's neo-dandy look is now much more relaxed. "Tailoring is still omnipresent in the collections, but it's becoming more fluid. There's still formality, but it's far more relaxed and remains very elegant," said Feillard. Bags were omnipresent, from clutch to shoulder, styled for both casual outings and evening occasions. Finally, flip-flops made a major comeback, seen at Officine Generale, Auralee and even Hermes, "worn in an almost formal way", said Communier. A perfect example of relaxed chic. mdv/srg/gv/tc
