Speaking to the media, Reddy clarified, "I have no knowledge of any power-sharing discussions within the high command. Siddaramaiah's statement is clear–—he will be the chief minister for five years. There's nothing more to say on this."
On reports of AICC leader Randeep Singh Surjewala seeking feedback from MLAs, Reddy responded, "I am unaware of any complaints against ministers or discussions between MLAs and Surjewala in Delhi.
If meetings happen behind closed doors, how would I know? The high command handles all internal matters."
Responding to some Congress leaders referring to Siddaramaiah as an "outsider," Reddy said, "Wherever he may have come from, today he is a Congress leader. He became chief minister because people support him. He's a mass leader and has worked hard both earlier and now as CM. He has given, and is giving good governance to people."
Asked about the possibility of deputy CM DK Shivakumar becoming CM, Reddy said, "DK Shivakumar has been a loyal Congressman since his student days. He will definitely become chief minister—when, I can't say. His time will come." Pressed further on whether Shivakumar could become CM during the current term, Reddy concluded, "I have no information on that."
