Lewis Capaldi gives fans a health update and says he's feeling 'the best he's felt in a long time' as Scotsman opens up on 'the worst moment of his life' at Glastonbury in 2023

Lewis Capaldi has revealed he's no longer on antidepressants and is feeling the 'best he's felt in a long time' in a new health update.
The adored Scotsman, 28, made his return to music almost two weeks ago with an epic and emotional performance at Glastonbury.
It came almost exactly two years after he broke down on the very same stage, prompting a hiatus during which Lewis was forced to focus on improving both his physical and mental health.
But after taking some time away from the limelight and the 'pressures' of being a star, Lewis says that he's now 'doing much better' and is no longer taking the antidepressant Sertraline.
'I'm not on antidepressants anymore,' he told fans on a livestream.
'It was f*****g hard to get off it. You could say I survived getting off Sertraline but let's not get into that.
'This is happy stuff, I'm trying to share less.'
He later added: 'I've felt the best I've felt in a long time through therapy.
'I think I will always be an anxious person, accepting that's always going to be there for me is a big thing. It's about how I respond to anxiety.'
Lewis, who marked his return with the new track Survive which has soared to Number 1, also opened up about the 2023 set at Glastonbury, calling the performance 'the worst moment of my life'.
He candidly admitted: 'I think I probably knew two songs into the set at Glastonbury that I couldn't do it.
'I was on stage and I was on complete autopilot. In my head I was feeling a thousand miles away and I watched it back and I feel sad. As far as I was concerned, I was done indefinitely.
'I didn't need to break to focus on getting better, I took a break because I needed a break to release the pressure valve a little bit.
'I was achieving my dream. If there was a film, I've got to the end and I've done it. But it's not how I thought it would be.
'The thing that I wanted to do most made me feel the worst. Watching it, I just see someone who is completely not there and having the worst moment of his life'.
The singer too spoke about therapy, and how difficult he finds motivating himself to attend sessions.
In an attempt to help supporters, Capaldi has teamed up with BetterHelp to offer 734 hours of free therapy to fans. The number marks the amount of days he spent away from the music industry.
He said: 'I was lying my way through therapy before. I was telling them what I thought they wanted to hear or things I'd read online so I could get out of there as quickly as possible.
'I struggle most weeks to get myself up and go to therapy - even to go to open my laptop and talk to the therapist can be really difficult.'
Lewis's new tune Survive, which candidly details his struggles over the past two years, shifted a whopping 68,500 units in its first week, beating competition from the likes of Sabrina Carpenter to Number 1.
It also marked the singer's biggest first week ever in another landmark achievement.
Gushing about the support he's received since his highly-anticipated comeback last week, Lewis said: 'Survive is this week's UK Number 1, and I want to say a massive thank you to everybody who's been streaming it, downloading it - it really means the world.
'I've been away for a little while and to come back to this outpouring of love and support has been absolutely incredible.
'I can't thank everybody enough for all the kind words since Glastonbury - and now this!
'It's been the best week of my life. I hope you continue to enjoy the song, it means a lot to me.'
On the day of the track's release, Lewis took to the stage at Glastonbury, emotionally telling supporters: 'Two years ago I wasn't sure if I'd ever do this again, but I'm back baby!'
He sang a number of his famous hits, before once chocking back tears as he performed Survive for the first time in front of scores of supporters.
Fans in the crowd could be seen crying and calling out his name before joining him in a rendition of mega-hit Someone You Loved.
In his heart-warming speech, Lewis said: 'Glastonbury it's good to be back. Won't say too much up here today as if I do I might start crying, but I can't thank you enough for coming here and being with here'.
'Second times a charm hey! It's a short set today but just wanted to come and finish what I couldn't last time, also this was like the worst kept f*****g secret ever'.
Amid the success of the performance and that of his tear-inducing new single, the Scotsman announced a new tour this week consisting of 10 dates.
The Someone You Love singer will play venues in Sheffield, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Nottingham and two days at the 02 later this year.
Lewis confirmed on Instagram that these would be his 'only shows' in the UK, Ireland and Europe this year.

The Salt Path author ‘heartbroken' as she defends accuracy of book

The author of The Salt Path has described enduring some of the 'hardest days' of her life as she defended her memoir against claims that parts of it were fabricated. Raynor Winn's story, now a film starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs, tells how she and her husband, Moth, walked the South West Coast Path after losing their home. The memoir also recounts how Moth was diagnosed with a neurological condition. But The Observer newspaper, which said the couple's legal names are Sally and Timothy Walker, reported that Winn may have misrepresented the events that led to the couple losing their home and that experts had doubts over Moth having corticobasal degeneration (CBD). On Wednesday, Winn posted clinic letters on Instagram addressed to Timothy Walker, which she said showed that 'he is treated for CBD /S and has been for many years'. She wrote: 'The last few days have been some of the hardest of my life. Heart breaking accusations that Moth has made up his illness have been made, leaving us devastated.' In a statement on her website, she said that the article was 'grotesquely unfair, highly misleading and seeks to systematically pick apart my life'. She added: 'The Salt Path is about what happened to Moth and me, after we lost our home and found ourselves homeless on the headlands of the south west. 'It's not about every event or moment in our lives, but rather about a capsule of time when our lives moved from a place of complete despair to a place of hope. 'The journey held within those pages is one of salt and weather, of pain and possibility. And I can't allow any more doubt to be cast on the validity of those memories, or the joy they have given so many.' In The Salt Path, the couple lose their house due to a bad business investment. But The Observer reported that the couple, lost their home after an accusation that Winn had stolen thousands of pounds from her employer. It also said that it had spoken to medical experts who were sceptical about Moth having CBD, given his lack of acute symptoms and his apparent ability to reverse them. Publishing house Penguin said it 'undertook all the necessary pre-publication due diligence', including a contract with an author warranty about factual accuracy, and a legal read. It added: 'Prior to the Observer enquiry, we had not received any concerns about the book's content.'

Jana Kramer's husband reveals VERY candid confession on couple's sex life

husband Allan Russell made a very NSFW confession about their sex life. The 41-year-old actress and 44-year-old Scottish former soccer player made a very candid confession about their intimate life on the latest episode of her podcast Whine Down released Wednesday. He said: 'Since I met Jana and we've subsequently [gotten] married and had a baby and stuff, there's no point — and I can be really honest in this — there's no point where I actually feel like masturbating. 'We have, what I think, is a healthy sex life.' Allan may have been too eager to give up information on their lives in the bedroom as he said he enjoys 'making love' to his wife and having 'essential and physical moments' together. He explained: 'So there's a part of me [that] is like, I know it's going to come, so I'm not going to ruin it by doing what I need to do selfishly for myself to then diminish or ruin the thing that we have together. 'Therefore I just don't feel like doing it because I would rather have her, than go into the bathroom or whatever it is and masturbate.' Jana then said that she doesn't 'hate that answer' to which her husband responded that when he was single he would 'masturbate a lot' but now he doesn't 'feel like it.' This is not the first time Jana's husband has said something headline-worthy on the podcast as back in December he engaged in a candid discussion about her acting career on Whine Down. During the show, the actress and her beau chatted about recent Yellowstone sex scenes, prompting the former soccer star to share his unfiltered opinion about why he won't accept his wife being intimate onscreen. 'I was just like, "There's not part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever, for a man to be that close to you like that,"' Allan said about his wife potentially filming raunchy scenes. Jana, who shares one-year-old son Roman with the retired athlete, asked if he'd change his mind if she were cast on a huge series like Yellowstone. He answered, 'I'll be, like, phoning the producers and threatening the producers — "You need to change that scene. For the good of your health, you need to change this scene." 'That's not good for a marriage, that type of role, it's not, especially [for] a man who's not in the acting world. It's difficult. So, therefore, that's my opinion based on [the fact that] I'm not in that world.' To drive his point home, the Scottish athlete said to his wife: 'Can you imagine that we're both actors in a situation where I've stripped this woman naked and I start to go down on her. How would you like that, babe?' The One Tree Hill star weighed in about acting out physical scenes: 'It's literally the most uncomfortable thing ever.' She also noted that love scenes are typically filmed with only the actors and sound techs on set. 'It's so uncomfortable for the people that are doing it. And it's not a sexy thing,' the seasoned performer shared. The television star explained that she doesn't prefer those kinds of scenes, but understands they come with the territory. In an Instagram Story video shared on Monday, Allan teased, 'Ok, on this week's podcast, Jana and I have a heated discussion on a role...' before Kramer interjected, 'A steamy discussion.' Russell continued, '...A hot and steamy discussion about a hot and steamy role I would never be happy about.' He then panned the camera to show his wife sweetly snuggling their little boy in her arms while sitting in a rocking chair as he enjoyed a bottle. Kramer and Russell tied the knot in July and are raising three kids together — their son Roman, plus Jana's eight-year-old daughter Jolie and six-year-old son Jace. The mom-of-three shares her two older children with ex-husband Mike Caussin. Back in November she mourned the loss of her former One Tree Hill co-star Paul Teal, who passed away at age 35. 'Sending love and prayers to @paulteal family and friends,' she wrote online. Jana played Paul's onscreen girlfriend Alex during his time on the show. 'I had the absolute pleasure of working with him on season 7 of OTH. He was always so kind and so much fun to work alongside,' she added in her tribute. The star also called on the One Tree Hill family to support Teal's loved ones, adding, 'Wrap his family and friends in prayers, please.'

Love Island villa left in shock as devastated Emily is dumped by Tommy for Casa Amor beauty in brutal recoupling

THE Love Island villa erupted tonight after Emily was left heartbroken by Tommy's decision to recouple with Lucy. Having decided to stay loyal to Tommy despite the introduction of six single hunks, Emily hoped he would return to the villa alone and welcome her into his arms. 4 But it wasn't the case and Tommy turned up holding hands with Casa Amor girl Lucy. The pair had hit it off instantly in the other villa and spent lots of time snuggling up and snogging. Emily's emotions got the better of her and she muttered "oh Christ! as stunned co-stars Meg and Helena repeatedly said "f**k off", Before Casa Amor, Welsh lass Emily and gardener Tommy looked to be on to a good thing after they were both hurt by their previous partners, Conor and Megan. Regarded as a sweet pairing who shied away from drama, they had begun to emerge as potential favourites to go all the way. But Lucy quickly turned Tommy's head and it became clear that he felt more sexual chemistry with her. A gentleman to the end, Gio decided against bringing another girl back to the villa forfeiting his place on the show after Billykiss partnered with Boris. While Meg was left fuming despite being reunited with her man, Dejon. Though original villa boy Dejon refused to share a bed with another girl in Casa, he did have some very flirty chats with Andrada. She was eventually chosen by Ben, who she also had a connection with, but teased that there was chemistry there with Dejon, too. Love Island star Dejon's colleague claims he's on the show to win it saying 'he's 'just there to secure the bag' Playing it coy, she simply said they enjoyed some one on one chats as host Maya Jama said there'd be more time to talk later on. There was happy news too with Shakira finally getting her man, Ty, after fierce competition from Helena. Former air stewardess Helena was then reunited with Harry, telling him: "God, I missed you." He reassures her it was never in doubt - though he did share some kisses with Rheo - and lifted her up for a kiss. While both the boys and girls could close ranks and keep their Casa adventures secret, they're surely set to come out when Movie Night comes into town. 4 4 4
