ITV This Morning viewers beg 'please stop' as they issue same complaint

Daily Record26-05-2025
This Morning presenter Alison Hammond was in the hot seat on Monday's show as she was joined by comedian Paddy McGuinness.
Viewers tuning into This Morning were left somewhat underwhelmed by Alison Hammond after she made an unusual comment to JoJo Siwa during Monday's broadcast.
The instalment showcased Alison co-hosting with Paddy McGuiness as they transitioned to Chris Hughes live from Bexhill, where he was chatting to 90-year-old Barby Keel who runs an animal rescue operation.

Yet, the focus shifted when they brought up JoJo Siwa, freshly off her appearance on Lorraine's ITV segment prior to This Morning.

Alison chimed in: "Listen, Chris, before you go, we've got someone who wanted to say a quick hello to you! Have a look at this."
JoJo then popped up, enthusiastically greeting Chris with: "Hey Christopher!"
Chris instantly recognised her, exclaiming: "That's my Jo, I know that voice, that's a voice that gives you energy in the morning, I tell ya, that's just what I needed today."
Amidst keeping busy assisting Barby with chores, Chris spilled that JoJo plans to come down to the Cotswolds next week for some quality time with his family, reports Wales Online.
Paddy was quick to catch an intriguing bit revealed by Chris as he quizzically remarked: "Can I just ask, how do you know JoJo gives you energy in the Morning? What's going on here? Hello! Hashtag awkward."

Alison couldn't hold back her laughter following Paddy's direct probe at Chris before they both engaged JoJo. Alison added: "Honestly, I'm so invested in you and Chris.
"I don't care what anyone says, I want to know. I'm so invested! I love this little relationship; it's beautiful, but just for the record, what is your relationship status with Chris right now?"

JoJo replied: "Erm, I will say he is up there as one of my favourite people in the entire world—" Alison added: "With benefits."
Alison's forthright comment raised eyebrows among viewers, with several expressing their disapproval on social media.
One viewer said: "Please stop this JoJo and Chris segment on #ThisMorning."

Another voiced their discomfort: "I love a laugh n all that, but that was a crass comment by Alison re JoJo and Chris' relationship."
A different user chimed in with: "Leave Jojo alone. Alison that was uncalled for." Someone else shared: "I find this whole thing with JoJo and Chris nauseating. @ITV and @thismorning just need to drop it. It's not cute it's embarrassing. #thismorning."
Meanwhile, another commented on the show's rocky start: "Messy and awkward start #ThisMorning."
Despite the stir caused by Alison's interjection, JoJo did not respond directly to her comment and continued to speak highly of Chris, acknowledging the joy he brought into her life.

Coronation Street legend Catherine Tyldesley 'will FINALLY return to the cobbles' seven years after quitting

Catherine Tyldesley will reportedly finally make a return to Coronation Street seven years after quitting the coblbes. The actress, 41, became a household name when she was first cast as glamorous barmaid Eva Price on the ITV soap in 2011. She was the on-screen daughter of Stella Price, played by EastEnders star Michelle Collins, who was also the long-lost mother of Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). But Catherine quit the cobbles in 2018, and producers are said to have been trying to entice her back for years, and she will finally begin filming again this summer. It is believed that after some persuading by soap bosses, Eva is going to take over the Rovers Return Inn as will be the brand new landlady, according to The Sun. A source told the publication: 'It's one of the biggest jobs in soap, the landlady of the Rovers Return pub. 'Bosses were desperate to get Cath back, they came up with the perfect storyline with her being unveiled as the new landlady of the Rovers.' Daily Mail has contacted ITV and Catherine's representatives for comment. During her time on the serial, Eva famously had a relationship with Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) but he had an affair with Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon). As an act of revenge when she found out, Eva faked a pregnancy and spent Aidan's savings on a pink Range Rover. The pair later become engaged but Maria burst into the wedding to expose the truth about the fake pregnancy. A short time later, Eva discovered that she was actually pregnant with Aidan's baby but agreed to give the child to her half-sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor). Soon after that, Aidan took his own life in 2017, and Eva became attached to baby Susie and left the cobbles in the back of a taxi with her. Catherine then starred in the short-lived sitcom Scarborough and played a leading role in Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical, but it was cancelled halfway through the tour amid poor ticket sales. The soap star reunited with her Corrie on-screen boyfriend, X Factor winner Shayne, on The Good Ship Murder, which began airing its second series in January. There was also another Weatherfield reunion when Catherine starred alongside her former co-star Michelle Keegan once again earlier this year. Catherine took on a guest starring role on Michelle's comedy series Brassic, with the pair sharing photographs from set during filming. News of Catherine's comeback comes shortly after she admitted she would 'never say never' to returning to Corrie. She told Prima magazine: ' Coronation Street feels like forever ago, but I always look back with such great fondness 'But if they approached me with an amazing storyline and the time was right, of course, I'd go back. So it's always a case of never say never.'

Ex-Premier League ace signs deal for I'm A Celeb All Stars 11 years after being first star kicked off show

FORMER Premier League ace Jimmy Bullard is to appear on I'm A Celebrity All Stars. The ex-Fulham midfielder, 46, who later hosted Sky's Soccer AM, has negotiated a deal to take part in the Ant and Dec-hosted ITV series. 1 Former Premier League ace Jimmy Bullard is to appear on I'm A Celebrity All Stars It comes after the Sun on Sunday previously revealed Harry Redknapp, former West Ham manager, where Bullard played in the youth team, has also signed up. Jimmy, famous for his catchphrase 'Football's always the winner', originally took part in I'm A Celeb back in 2014 and had a lads' 'bromance' with eventual winner Racing superbike champ Carl Fogarty, 60. A source said: 'Jimmy had a brilliant time in the original series he took part in and it really opened the door to his broadcasting career. 'He was voted off first last time and he felt he had a lot more to give. "Now he's got the chance to get stuck in again, although he's a bit older so he is worried he might find it harder to rough it. 'His banter is still on top form though. Producers are hopeful he'll have a bromance with Harry Redknapp, who is also taking part.' All Stars will be filmed this autumn in South Africa and be screened in the New Year - after the main version of the I'm A Celebrity show in Australia goes out in November and December. Other celebs taking part in the All Stars version include Strictly love rat Seann Walsh, 39, and Towie star Gemma Collins, 44, who lasted only three days in 2014. All Stars last aired in 2023 when singer Myleene Klass won and it was filmed in South Africa's Kruger National Park. ITV declined to comment.

'It also felt like a make or break trip as they were struggling with their marriage.' Cat, 48, and Northern Irish former comedian Patrick, 54, moved back to the UK from LA in 2020 to start a new life with their two children. They have been renovating a five-bed North London house while renting with sons Milo, eight, and James, six. But the insider added: 'They have had difficult conversations about the future, even if that means selling. They called it their forever home but that isn't how it's turned out.' Meanwhile, Patrick's family in Dundrum, Co Down, feel Cat should have attended his mum Mary's funeral in March. She stayed in London with their children. A family source said: 'There was surprise that she didn't turn up.
