ITV This Morning viewers beg 'please stop' as they issue same complaint
This Morning presenter Alison Hammond was in the hot seat on Monday's show as she was joined by comedian Paddy McGuinness. Viewers tuning into This Morning were left somewhat underwhelmed by Alison Hammond after she made an unusual comment to JoJo Siwa during Monday's broadcast. The instalment showcased Alison co-hosting with Paddy McGuiness as they transitioned to Chris Hughes live from Bexhill, where he was chatting to 90-year-old Barby Keel who runs an animal rescue operation. Yet, the focus shifted when they brought up JoJo Siwa, freshly off her appearance on Lorraine's ITV segment prior to This Morning. Alison chimed in: "Listen, Chris, before you go, we've got someone who wanted to say a quick hello to you! Have a look at this." JoJo then popped up, enthusiastically greeting Chris with: "Hey Christopher!" Chris instantly recognised her, exclaiming: "That's my Jo, I know that voice, that's a voice that gives you energy in the morning, I tell ya, that's just what I needed today." Amidst keeping busy assisting Barby with chores, Chris spilled that JoJo plans to come down to the Cotswolds next week for some quality time with his family, reports Wales Online. Paddy was quick to catch an intriguing bit revealed by Chris as he quizzically remarked: "Can I just ask, how do you know JoJo gives you energy in the Morning? What's going on here? Hello! Hashtag awkward." Alison couldn't hold back her laughter following Paddy's direct probe at Chris before they both engaged JoJo. Alison added: "Honestly, I'm so invested in you and Chris. "I don't care what anyone says, I want to know. I'm so invested! I love this little relationship; it's beautiful, but just for the record, what is your relationship status with Chris right now?" JoJo replied: "Erm, I will say he is up there as one of my favourite people in the entire world—" Alison added: "With benefits." Alison's forthright comment raised eyebrows among viewers, with several expressing their disapproval on social media. One viewer said: "Please stop this JoJo and Chris segment on #ThisMorning." Another voiced their discomfort: "I love a laugh n all that, but that was a crass comment by Alison re JoJo and Chris' relationship." A different user chimed in with: "Leave Jojo alone. Alison that was uncalled for." Someone else shared: "I find this whole thing with JoJo and Chris nauseating. @ITV and @thismorning just need to drop it. It's not cute it's embarrassing. #thismorning." Meanwhile, another commented on the show's rocky start: "Messy and awkward start #ThisMorning." Despite the stir caused by Alison's interjection, JoJo did not respond directly to her comment and continued to speak highly of Chris, acknowledging the joy he brought into her life.
