Trigger – K-Drama Episode 10 Recap, Review & Ending Explained

The Review Geek6 days ago
A New World
Trigger Episode 10 starts with Lee Do and Moon-baek at a café enjoying a meal together. Moon-baek asks Lee Do about his childhood experience. He also asks Lee Do if he thinks about taking revenge. Lee Do says that finding the guy who broke into their house and shooting him is not worth it. Revenge is not always the right choice, especially when it destroys someone.
Does the nurse pull the trigger?
The nurse reaches a breaking point when her mother calls to ask about her. She has been working night shift for weeks, and the nurses still bully her. She takes the gun and heads out, determined to end her oppressors. However, she is distracted by the riots erupting in the square. She sees the image of Lee Do and the child and decides not to use the gun. Instead, she hands it to the authorities when the citizens voluntarily surrender their firearms.
What happens to Moon-baek?
Moon-baek organises a gun legalisation rally. Those supporting the legalisation and those against are extremely tense, and the atmosphere at the rally is heated with arguments. Moon-baek drives a lorry full of guns into the rally and starts handing out free guns.
He is determined to show Lee Do that when given a chance, the people will choose violence, instead of Lee Do's belief that they will choose the morally right thing. He is determined to crash Lee Do's belief in a gun-free country and that guns lead to destruction. In his view, guns empower the people.
At the protest, Moon-baek is shot, which sparks the riots as the protestors start shooting randomly. Moon-baek collapses to the ground, but it is unclear whether he shot himself to achieve his goals or if someone else shot him. However, he does not die, but at the end of the episode, he is in the hospital in a coma.
What happens to Lee Do?
Lee Do leaves Hyun-sik's burial and heads to the Free Guns' protest. Moon-baek calls him to a room, and gives his speech about his disappointing high moral ground. Lee Do insists that guns are not the answer. They will not lead to a new utopia as Moon-baek claims, but will only plunge the country into destruction.
Moon-baek leaves him held at gunpoint by his men when a truck drives into the protest to hand out free guns. However, Lee Doo easily subdues the men holding him at gunpoint and follows Moon-baek outside.
Lee is determined to take down Moon-baek. However, the chaos intensifies, and Moon-baek drops smoke bombs. Lee chooses not to pull the trigger as a single gunshot would intensify fear, causing the people at the protest to shoot indiscriminately.
Lee Do hesitates. When chaos erupts at the rally, he drops his gun and runs to protect a little boy stuck in the middle of the chaos. He embraces the boy, shielding him from the bullets. His image of him embracing the boy wins the hearts of the citizens. He chose to save humanity over his self-interest.
How does the series end?
The ending shows that Moon-baek survived and was admitted to the hospital. However, his chances of survival are still slim given that he lost a lot of blood and has a history of cancer. Meanwhile, Jake decides to replace Moon-baek, sending someone to end his life. Jake's philosophy is to spend a dollar to make five, but Moon-baek has been a total disappointment.
The country re-establishes its gun-free status when the citizens hand over the guns to the authorities. Lee Do keeps his job as a police officer. He is content with his life and now takes care of the little boy he saved during the riot.
Is there a possibility of a second season?
A blonde woman enters Moon-baek's hospital room with a gun. With Jake's plan to set up a new plan in motion, will the woman replace Moon-baek in South Korea and continue the plan to bring guns into South Korea? This leaves room for a possible season 2.
The Episode Review
This Netflix K-drama gave us a lot to mull over. What exactly do we consider justice? Are guns the problem, or is it human beings? Throughout this show, we have seen different conflicts. In some cases, we could almost understand why these people chose to pull the trigger.
There is only so much pain and suffering humans can take at the hands of each other. For example, take the school shooting incident. Most of us could relate to Gyu-jin and Yeong-dung. Even though we don't support their choices, we know the pain Seong-jun caused in their lives.
While Moon-baek was in the wrong, one can't help but wonder if he could have turned out differently if he hadn't been abused as a child. The whole nature vs nurture discussion comes in here. Whether we admit it or not, we sometimes inadvertently create monsters by hurting people.
This is why it is important to treat others with respect and try to live honourably. Most conflicts in this show were caused by people's bad attitudes towards each other. It doesn't help that the justice system is broken. People's mental health is declining, and many have no moral compass or remorse.
We also have to talk about Lee Do. Unlike Moon-baek, he chose a different path. A path of healing and protecting. Even so, society tested his patience every day. Still, he endured and persevered. His character is commendable.
What are your thoughts on Trigger? Did you get the impactful message the show was trying to pass?

MAFS feud explodes as fuming groom reveals petty way bitter ex got revenge on him and new Love Island girlfriend

A MARRIED At First Sight UK feud has exploded once again as a fuming groom reveals the petty way his bitter ex got revenge on him. Nathan Campbell, 24, and new Love Island girlfriend Abi Moores, 27, have spoken out about the way in which his MAFS ex Lacey Martin, 27, got revenge on them both. 5 5 5 Nathan and Lacey were matched on the E4 experiment, and appeared to make it work, but split shortly after filming ended. Shortly after that, their split got bitter, with Lacey accusing Nathan of faking their relationship for the cameras on the show. Nathan has since moved on with Love Island beauty Abi. The Sun revealed back in March that Abi and Nathan were an item after secretly dating since the start of the year. They have since packed on the PDA online and at various events. And now the pair have revealed the petty way Lacey got revenge on them both. Speaking about Lacey, Abi told The Sun: "We can't see anything, like we're blocked, like we can't see anything on her socials." Nathan added: "I'm blocked and that's probably how it remained forever, I reckon," he revealed. Elsewhere in their exclusive chat with The Sun at the National Reality Television Awards this week, Abi then told Nathan: "You posted when we were in Ibiza." To which he replied: "Oh, okay, yeah, right, yeah, no, I just didn't want to bump into her, pretty much. "I'm quite straight up. Like, if I could swerve it, I will." Abi said: "I think it was, like, tongue in cheek as well. Like, it wasn't a massive deal." Nathan then said he is "a nice person", adding: "But, like, yeah, if someone asks ' what would you do if you bump in?' I probably would avoid, you know, avoid any conflict. "What I would say is you don't want to walk off a show with any regrets," he added, speaking about his time on the reality show. "I'm really happy with how it came out. I think, you know, the edit was fantastic," he went on. "I do think in myself, I should have pushed back a little bit in the relationship in terms of, like, I should have put my feelings first on an occasion, instead of thinking of how my match was feeling, you know. "So when I should have spoke out past feeling what things I wasn't unhappy with, I should have said and then use the experts help to work on it. "But I did it because I was too submissive in the relationship." He added: "But if I could have went back, I probably just would have pushed back on things I wasn't happy with. "But other than that, I'm really grateful for the time I had, I had an amazing time." 5

Yet another EastEnders star returning to the cast three years after chaotic exit

Ricky Champ is set to reprise his role as Stuart Highway in EastEnders, three years after his departure. The older brother of Callum Highway (Tony Clay), Stuart first arrived in Albert Square in 2018, tracking down his childhood best mate Mick Carter (Danny Dyer). After playing a series of bizarre pranks on the Carter clan, he explained that he was part of a paedophile vigilante group, and roped Mick into helping confront an offender. He then told Callum that he took on the role as a result of being abused as a child, and wanted justice for other victims. It later transpired that he had tortured Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) when she was young, and he started a hate campaign against her. After forcing Mick to breaking point, he broke up his marriage to Linda (Kellie Bright) and was almost killed. Towards the end of his time in the Square, the character mellowed. Viewers saw him struggling with postnatal depression following the birth of his son Roland, all the while battling breast cancer. Stuart and Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks) reunited after a tough period in their marriage, and resolved to start afresh outside of Walford. In truly chaotic scenes, the duo stole a hearse from Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and rode out of the area. Now Ricky is set to reprise the role for what Metro understands is a very short stint. In a real soap cliché, The Sun reports that Stuart will 'ruffle a few feathers' upon his return. The circumstances surrounding his arrival are currently unknown, though it's likely that it will involve the ongoing affair between Callum and Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff). More Trending As fans have seen, the pair have been unable to keep their hands off one another – but have vowed to keep their distance after Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) found out. Phil is, of course, Callum's father-in-law. Phil's son Ben (Max Bowden) has been absent for over a year, having been extradited to the States for a fraud charge. During their estrangement, Callum has seemingly coped well, but in upcoming scenes he can't resist sending flirty messages to Johnny… something which Jay has warned him about. Alligator takes revenge on Florida woman who angrily threw her shoe at animal

An alligator got swift revenge on a Florida woman after she kept throwing her shoe at the animal as it wandered through the grass. The gator was seen on video snatching the woman's shoe after she angrily hurled it at it near a body of water in Kissimmee - about 30 minutes from Orlando. The now-viral moment was caught on camera by Sarah Louise Martin who was vacationing in the city from her home in Gravesend, England. Martin, who posted the clip to TikTok, was seen greeting everyone before spotting the small alligator and a family of deer not too far from each other. 'Morning everyone. I've just woke up and come outside and I've just seen this on the grass outside – an alligator casually walking around and some deers. Well, they look like deers. I'm not too sure what they are,' Martin said. Focused on the interaction between the animals, Martin watched as the people next door fed the group of deer. While they did so, Martin kept a close eye on the gator to see how it would react to the deer - but it was the other woman she should've looked out for. Just moments later a woman, dressed in a floral ensemble and glassed, flung her shoes at the gator as Martin watched on in horror. 'They don't seem to be scared of him at all,' the vacationer said, referring to the deer and the alligator before the bizarre moment took place. The alligator then started to move toward the deer as Martin said: 'He's on the move.' The gator went on to lie down on the grass as it continued to watch the deer, but just moments later, a woman threw her white sandals at it. The animal ran away but started to inch back over as the woman again threw the pair of shoes at it, appearing to try to get it away from the deer she and others were feeding. 'No! They're throwing their shoe at him,' Martin narrated. Suddenly, the gator decided it had enough of her antics and snatched one of the shoes and ran back into the water with it. Martin seemingly sided with the alligator and was left pleased by its choice of revenge. 'Get that show and eat it! Run off with that shoe,' she said. 'That serves her right for throwing the shoe at it.' The woman who threw her shoes was left looking at the animal in awe as it snuck back into the water. Meanwhile, several people were heard chuckling as it did so. At the end of the clip, Martin spotted a sign that clearly warned not to feed the wildlife. An estimated 1.3 million alligators live in Florida, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).
