Paradise Season 2: Release window, cast updates and plot details
Hulu's Paradise really shook things up when it dropped — blending political thriller, sci-fi mystery, and emotional drama into one gripping package. After that wild ride of a first season, fans are already counting down the days until Season 2. So, what's next for the bunker survivors and the world beyond? Here's what we know. Release Window: When Will Paradise Season 2 Premiere? Hulu hasn't announced an official release date yet, but production is already rolling — filming started back in March 2025. Creator Dan Fogelman has said he doesn't want a huge gap between seasons, so the plan is to aim for early 2026. If they stay on schedule, it could even mirror the January 2025 debut of Season 1. Basically, we probably won't have to wait forever — fingers crossed for early next year. Cast Updates: Who's Returning and Who's New? Good news: most of the main cast is returning. Sterling K. Brown is back as Agent Xavier Collins — the emotional anchor of the show — as he continues unraveling conspiracies while dealing with personal loss. Julianne Nicholson is also returning as Samantha 'Sinatra' Redmond, despite that brutal Season 1 finale. Her character's story is far from over, especially with her grip on bunker power now seriously shaken. Other returning cast members include Nicole Brydon Bloom (Jane), Krys Marshall (Robinson), Sarah Shahi (Gabriela), Charlie Evans (Jeremy), Aliyah Mastin (Presley), and Percy Daggs IV (James). As for James Marsden's President Cal Bradford — well, let's just say his character's arc might be limited to flashbacks, considering how Season 1 ended. There are also some fresh faces joining the story. Shailene Woodley is stepping into a big recurring role — she's playing a survivor Xavier meets above ground. Her character's backstory (teased during Comic-Con) reveals she once worked at Graceland, so expect a layered, emotional journey there. Thomas Doherty's also joining as Link, the smooth-talking leader of a biker gang, along with Michael McGrady and Timothy Omundson, who'll play two of his crew, Geiger and Chef. Raymond Cham Jr. and Ryan Michelle Bathé (who's actually Sterling K. Brown's real-life wife) are also coming on board in mysterious roles we don't know much about yet. Plot Details: What's Next for Paradise? The second season is expected to pick up right after that intense Season 1 finale — the mystery of President Bradford's murder is solved, but plenty of loose threads are still hanging. This time, the story's going to split into two main fronts: Xavier's journey above ground and all the drama continuing inside the bunker. Outside, Xavier is on a mission to find his wife Teri, who he now believes might still be alive. Along the way, he'll meet survivors trying to rebuild a life in the chaos, totally cut off from the safety and secrets of the bunker. The world outside is rough, raw, and unpredictable — and it'll lean more heavily into the sci-fi side of things as we start understanding what really happened. Meanwhile, inside the bunker, power struggles are far from over. Sinatra is recovering from her injuries and trying to claw her way back into control. Jane, who shot her, is also getting a spotlight — she's getting a whole standalone episode that reportedly reveals something seriously off about her. Expect a deeper dive into what makes her tick. Creator Dan Fogelman has already mapped out a three-season arc for Paradise , with each season shifting in tone but keeping the same emotional center. Season 2 will open up new mysteries, introduce new factions, and dig into the bunker's true purpose — all while raising the emotional stakes for Xavier and those around him. Ahmedabad Plane Crash

Elijah Wood Reveals The Childhood Role He's Most Proud Of, and It May Surprise You — GeekTyrant
Elijah Wood is making the rounds for his most recent film, The Toxic Avenger , which had a big presence at San Diego Comic-Con last week. While Wood is best known for starring in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and some great indie films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind , he started out as a child actor in hit films like Paradise , Forever Young , Radio Flyer , The Adventures of Huck Finn and The Good Son . He has gone on to make so many different types of films, and even TV series throughout his career, it's interesting to hear which projects most stuck with him. While at Comic-Con last week, the actor was asked by Comic Book which of his childhood roles he was 'most proud of,' and Wood quickly landed on the 1994 dramedy, North . He explained, 'I haven't seen this in a long time, but I had such a fun time making it. It was much-maligned at the time. Famously, Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel hated it.' North was adapted from a novel by Alan Zweibel published in 1984, and Zweibel wrote the screenplay himself, in addition to taking a minor role on screen. The movie was directed by Rob Reiner and included a star-studded cast, including Bruce Willis, Jon Lovitz, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and many others. It even includes Scarlett Johansson's big screen debut at nine years old. Reiner was featured in the Directors on Directing panel at Comic-Con, and he also mentioned the film while talking about his body of work, stating that he had a fondness for it as well, despite the negative feedback from Siskel and Ebert. I haven't seen this movie, despite being the prime demographic when it was released, just before I turned ten. But, as a fan of both Elijah Wood and Rob Reiner, it sounds like I should round up my kids and give it a watch.

‘Coyote vs. Acme' Debuts First Footage as Will Forte Reflects on Salvaged Film: 'I Had Given Up Hope'
After a very bumpy road, Coyote vs. Acme's team took to San Diego Comic-Con to celebrate the movie finally heading to the big screen and announce its forthcoming release date. 'I'm pretty speechless,' Will Forte told the crowd about the movie landing a release from Ketchup Entertainment after being dropped by Warner Bros. 'It blows my mind. You think back to the journey this movie has taken. I had kind of given up hope at a certain point, so this is amazing.' More from The Hollywood Reporter James Gunn Receives Hero's Welcome During 'Superman' Victory Lap at Comic-Con Rebecca Romijn Isn't "Sure" She's Done Filming for 'Avengers: Doomsday' Because "They Haven't Finishing Writing" the Script 'Interview With the Vampire' Takes on New Title for Season 3: 'The Vampire Lestat' The first footage from Coyote vs. Acme featured a montage of Wile E. Coyote's failed attempts to thwart the Road Runner, which was set to Johnny Cash's version of the Nine Inch Nails hit 'Hurt.' Later, Wile E. Coyote happens to see a TV commercial from attorney Kevin Avery, as played by Forte. 'Have you ever pulled the rip cord of your parachute and only silverware comes out?' the character says in the footage. 'It's not your fault.' The footage led to plenty of laughs and cheers from the supportive crowd. The film's team announced that Coyote vs. Acme is set to hit theaters on Aug. 28, 2026. Notably, no one on the panel, including castmembers Eric Bauza and Martha Kelly, director Dave Green and moderator Paul Scheer, mentioned Warner Bros.' name in discussing the project's challenging path. Forte praised Wile as 'a character that never gives up' but added, 'The real hero of this movie is all of you guys sitting in those seats. Like Wile E. Coyote, you guys were an underdog who fought against a major corporation, and because you never gave up, this movie is now going to come out in wide global release.' Later, the team screened six more minutes of footage, which included co-star John Cena defending Acme in a courtroom scene. 'What I will prove to this jury is that this man, Wile E. Coyote, he is reckless,' Cena says in the sequence. A disaster involving the defense team's evidence leads to a fiery explosion in the court. Afterward, Forte's character gets a phone call from a mysterious source who sounds distinctly like Bugs Bunny. 'I think I may be able to help with with Acme,' the unnamed friend says. 'I have an associate with information.' The panel ended with the team debuting the movie's action-packed teaser trailer. In late 2023, The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Warner Bros. planned to scrap the completed movie as part of a $115 million write-down. Social media uproar helped to save the project, which Ketchup Entertainment acquired for distribution in March. The film centers on attorney Kevin Avery (Forte) representing Wile E. Coyote in a lawsuit against the Acme Corporation over his failed attempts to catch the Road Runner. Green directed the film from a script by Samy Burch, with Burch, James Gunn and Jeremy Slater credited for the story. The film features Looney Tunes characters and is based on Ian Frazier's 1990 New Yorker article 'Coyote v. Acme.' 'I never thought it would happen, so it just came out of nowhere, and I'm so thrilled,' Forte told THR earlier this year about the movie landing distribution. 'I'm so excited for people to see this movie. I'm gonna promote the crap out of it. Just tell me what you want me to do and I'll go, I'll do whatever — go to the top of Mount Everest, I'm there.'
