Lynch shared a video of herself with a golf club on Instagram in January 2025 using the hashtag #HappyGilmore2 and tagging Netflix to announce her role in the sequel, which will premiere on the streaming platform on Friday, July 25.
That cast is insane. The world I got to play in was ridiculous and wonderful and incredibly fun," Lynch told Variety. "The time on that set was amazing, seeing Adam Sandler and how he conducts himself as such a star in that world, but also so kind to everybody."
While Lynch's specific role in Happy Gilmore 2 remains unconfirmed, fans are eager to see her portrayal of a supporting character in this highly anticipated sequel.
Who is Becky Lynch?
According to WWE, Lynch, who has dubbed herself as "The Man," gained popularity and made history in 2019 by winning the Royal Rumble and pinning Ronda Rousey in the first-ever women's WrestleMania main event. This achievement made her both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion. Lynch then became the longest-reigning Raw Women's Champion in WWE history before stepping away from the sport to have a child in 2020.
Lynch returned as "Big Time Becks" and became the Triple Crown Champion in 2023. This was followed by an absence that saw her return at WrestleMania 41 alongside Lyra Valkyria to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

‘Fubar' Canceled By Netflix After 2 Seasons
EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is not proceeding with a third season of Arnold Schwarzenegger's spy action series Fubar. The decision comes about a month and a half after Season 2 launched on the platform on June 12. It follows surprisingly soft performance for the series, which, likely fueled by Schwarzenegger's global star power, had a strong series launch in May 2023 and also stars Monica Barbaro who became an Oscar nominee between Seasons 1 and 2 for A Complete Unknown. WWE Superstar Becky Lynch Is Set To Introduce New Entrance Music
Entrance music is huge in the WWE universe. Don't believe me? Take a listen to the crowd when Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, CM Punk, or Seth Rollins are on their way to the ring. The crowd erupts and sings along like they are at their favorite artist's concert and they just started performing their favorite song. This is especially the case for the more established Superstars. They don't come much bigger and more established than Becky Lynch. And yes, The Man is reportedly getting new entrance music soon. According to Fightful Select, Lynch will debut new entrance music soon—and it's not just a random update. The new theme is a collaboration with pop-punk band The Wonder Years, something Lynch herself teased on Instagram earlier in the day. The track will replace her long-time walkout 'Celtic Invasion,' a song that's followed her through some of her biggest WWE moments. It's a major switch and comes just as she's building momentum as WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion. Her next title defense is locked in for SummerSlam Night Two, where she'll face Lyra Valkyria.
