Tyre troubles do not stop Brad to secure 7th place in action-packed German MotoGP

Krugersdorp's MotoGP sensation Brad Binder crossed the finish line in seventh place at the weekend's German Grand Prix.
According to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, Brad was quick to move into the top 10 from the first lap. He then endured tyre pressure problems for the duration, but stayed on two wheels when a series of other riders fell into the gravel. He was less than a 10th of a second from sixth.
'From a working point of view and the weekend as a whole, this was a step. The main race was super difficult. It was such a long race, and a lot of guys were going down,' said Brad.
'It was chaos out there and very tricky for the front end. I was in a group the entire time, and that was hard for the tyre pressure and keeping the whole thing up. It was sketchy, so even though I would have liked a much better result, it was an accomplishment to get to the line,' he concluded.
After his seventh place at this race in Sachsenring, Brad is currently 12th in the Championship Standings. He will be in action again from July 18 to 20 at the Tissot Grand Prix of Czechia.

Darryn bounces back with some points in Germany

Local MotoGP2 racer Darryn Binder placed 15th at the Liqui Moly Grand Prix of Germany this past weekend (July 11 to 13). According to MotoGP's official website, a 15th place earned Darryn one point towards the Championship Standings. 'We're coming off quite a few difficult races, so this weekend we've been trying to find our way back, and I can say, we did find some positives and a little bit of speed. Unfortunately, I never made it to Q2,' said Darryn. It was a dry race for him, without a lot of time on Friday. 'I knew it could have been a little bit tricky. Overall, I think we have more positives than the previous grand prix, so I might not have been the fastest, but at least we had a bit more pace and managed to keep it up. Unfortunately, we scored just one point, but let's take the positives and keep focus and working. We'll try again in Brno.' He is 21st in the Championship Standings and will race again at the Tissot Grand Prix of Czechia this weekend, July 18 to 20. Bastianini and Espargaro to race for KTM Tech3 in Czech Grand Prix

Enea Bastianini will race for KTM Tech3 at this weekend's Czech Grand Prix after recovering from illness and Pol Espargaro steps in for the injured Maverick Vinales, the MotoGP team said on Wednesday. The 27-year-old Italian, who joined Tech3 from Ducati last year, missed the German Grand Prix but is expected to return to the track on Friday in practice for Sunday's race in Brno. "It was tough for me to remain in bed for so long and unable to join the team at the German Grand Prix, but I gave myself the time to recover properly to arrive in Brno in good shape," Bastianini said. Spaniard Vinales had surgery on Sunday for a fractured left shoulder, paving the way for compatriot Espargaro to make his return with Tech3, a team he debuted with in MotoGP back in 2014. "It's been a long time since our last visit to Brno, which is a fantastic track," Espargaro said. "The last time we raced here I felt super-good in my best period with KTM so let's see how it is with the new surface."
