Exclusive: 4 teams interested in 23 year old with no league goal since February 2022

Chelsea are into the selling phase of their summer, and while there's a lot of talk about some of the potential departures (Nicolas Jackson, Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi), others are really in worrying limbo.
Armando Broja has been in that category. Constant injuries have ruined a promising career, and hampered him again on loan at Everton last year. He made 13 appearances without a goal or assist. It's time for him to drop down a level and try to focus on racking up game time, and from what we hear that's exactly what's on the cards.

Our sources tell us that Broja has 4 teams from outside the UK strongly interested, all a step down from the top Premier League sides but certainly all with the potential to be a great destination for him.
In Serie A, Parma are looking to strengthen after their attacker Ange-Yoan Bonny moved to Inter. In the Bundesliga, Stuttgart could be in a similar position if they lose Nick Woltemade to Bayern Munich. RB Leipzig are also keeping tabs on the Albania international.
Finally in the Eredivisie, PSV Eindhoven remember Broja's impressive spell on loan at Vitesse a few years ago and are considering a bid themselves.
Broja needs a good move to get his career going
At this stage we're not too bothered where Broja goes or what the fee is. We just want him to get the right move to get back to playing and try to make the most of his talent. He's still just 23 don't forget, and could soon put all these problems behind him and have a great career.
All of these teams seem like a smart next move, if he can just get his body to cooperate.

Sunderland sign Granit Xhaka from Leverkusen

Premier League newcomers Sunderland on Wednesday announced the signing of midfielder Granit Xhaka from Bayer Leverkusen for a reported fee of £17.3 million ($23 million). The 32-year-ols Swiss international, who previously captained Arsenal, has signed a three-year contract at the Stadium of Light. Xhaka left the Gunners in 2023 and won the Bundesliga and German Cup with Leverkusen during his spell at the club. "I'm very proud to be here," he said. "When I spoke to the club, I was excited and I felt the energy, and the mentality that all the people and players have. "It's exactly what I wanted, and I have a very good feeling. We are back to where this club needs to be, and we want to stay here to write our own history." Sunderland sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said he was delighted that Xhaka had joined. "His arrival is a significant endorsement of our ambition and our desire to build a team our supporters can be proud of in the Premier League," he said. "His accomplishments and quality need little introduction –- he's a player of the highest calibre on and off the field, who we feel is the perfect match to the profile required in our team." Xhaka's switch to Sunderland is the latest signing in a busy transfer window for the club, promoted to the Premier League in May via the Championship play-offs. 🎥 Did Aston Villa man score the perfect pre-season goal?

A lot of people consider what happens in pre-season to be irrelevant. After all, it's not as if results and performances have a bearing on what lies ahead in the forthcoming campaign, but Ezri Konsa offered a compelling counterpoint. Two years ago, the Aston Villa defender produced a barnstorming run and finish to begin their fightback in a friendly with Brentford at Maryland's Northwest Stadium. Unai Emery's side were trailing to Bryan Mbeumo and Josh Dasilva before Konsa's one-man effort set the wheels in motion for three goals in the space of ten minutes. Unfortunately for the Villans, their lead was cancelled out midway through the second half to ensure honours ended even in their six-goal thriller with the Bees. But Konsa can lay claim to one of the greatest ever goals scored in pre-season.. 📸 BERTRAND GUAY - AFP or licensors
