Fleetwood Mac reunion rumours sparked by cryptic post from Stevie Nicks

Daily Record18-07-2025
Stevie Nicks performed at Glasgow's Hydro last July but fans hope a reunion with Lindsey Buckingham could be on the cards.
Former Fleetwood Mac legends Stevie Nicks and her ex-flame Lindsey Buckingham have set tongues wagging with hints they could be plotting a musical comeback together.

Devotees have been buzzing with anticipation after the pair shared mysterious social media posts this week. Stevie, 77, and Lindsey, 75, who were romantically linked during the 1970s, are believed to have grown apart in recent times following his latest exit from the group in 2018.

Their former bandmate Mick Fleetwood, 78, revealed last year his desire to witness the duo patch things up down the line. Supporters are now wondering if a reconciliation might be on the cards after both Stevie and Lindsey posted lyrics from one of their tracks on Instagram tonight, reports the Mirror.

Stevie shared: "And if you go forward ..." with Lindsey completing the verse by posting: "I'll meet you there."
The handwritten words, featured in their individual uploads, are taken from the chorus of their track Frozen Love.

The song appeared on their record Buckingham Nicks, which dropped in 1973, before they became part of Fleetwood Mac.
Both posts were shared without any explanation, prompting countless admirers to flood the comments asking for clarification.
One follower questioned: "OMG! What does it mean?" whilst another pleaded: "Confirm what's going on pls."

Others began theorising about a potential comeback.
One enthusiast declared: "Right I think there's going to be another reunion."
Someone else exclaimed: "Buckingham Nicks? ? ? ? ? Is it? ? ? Reunion? ? ? Ahhhh."

Some enthusiasts pondered whether a vinyl release or streaming debut of their joint album was in the works. One queried: "Buckingham Nicks vinyl release? ?" While another enquired: "Is Buckingham Nicks just coming to streaming?"
These speculations surfaced following a video post by their ex-bandmate Mick, who was seen enjoying Frozen Love on the platform. Both Stevie and Lindsey reposted Mick's clip on their Instagram Stories.

Mick captioned his shared post, which also appeared on Fleetwood Mac's official account, with: "Magic then, magic now."

In the video, he expressed his awe: "Unbelievable. The marriage of Stevie and Lindsey. The marriage of coming into Fleetwood Mac when they did. It's all in this song. It's in the music that played on for so many years. It's magic then. Magic now. What a thrill! What a thrill! Amen."
Stevie and Lindsey, romantically linked at the time, formed Buckingham Nicks in 1973 after their stint in Fritz. They became part of Fleetwood Mac the subsequent year, and the once- couple, who parted ways in 1976, eventually left the band at different times.
They made a comeback in 1997 when the band reunited, but Lindsey departed once more in 2018. Stevie stayed with Fleetwood Mac, however, the band hasn't played together since the passing of Christine McVie in 2022.

Lizzie also shared how she was 'focused' on falling pregnant after her first baby was born and felt there was something 'missing'. 'I couldn't past this,' she confessed, adding, 'Losing the baby, I thought I need to give myself a rest. Around a week and a half later I fell pregnant with my son.' Elsewhere in the post she discussed the impact of her loss. 'I just lost a baby that I wanted so badly,' she said. 'Then I fell pregnant, and I was told this. I hadn't dealt with my emotions. I pushed it down, deep inside. I remember getting the phone call that I was pregnant. My girlfriend was with me and I cried with happiness.' She concluded her post, 'The last few years I've been pregnant. Now I find I'm on the journey of enjoying my children and finding my new identity, other than being pregnant. It is bittersweet. Lizzie was dubbed 'Australia's Most Confident Bride' in season six when she was disastrously paired with groom Sam Ball. The former reality TV star is now happily married to her engineer husband Alex Vega, and is mum to an 18-month-old baby girl and a newborn baby boy who was born in April.

Alex Jones had ‘no idea' about complaints made against Jermaine Jenas

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was removed from the presenting team at BBC's Match Of The Day and The One Show following alleged issues relating to workplace conduct. Before he was sacked in August, Jenas had been a regular pundit on sports programmes and a presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live. Alex Jones attending the 2025 Bafta Television Awards with P&O Cruises at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London (Jordan Pettitt/PA) Jones, 48, who co-presented with Jenas on The One Show, told the Big Issue she did not know about the complaints until he had left. She said: 'I very much take people on face value. But with JJ [Jenas] I didn't know what was going on. 'I had no idea. I thought he was taking extended leave. 'The BBC didn't share with me what was going on until they actually dealt with it. And, you know, they did what they thought was right. 'If that was my daughter and she felt uncomfortable with someone's behaviour, I hope that whatever company she was working for would deal with it swiftly as well.' Jermaine Jenas insists he has taken responsibility for the conduct which led to his dismissal (Nigel French/PA) After being sacked from the BBC, Jenas apologised, saying he had done 'nothing illegal' and that 'inappropriate messages' sent were 'between two consenting adults'. Months later, Jenas' wife, Ellie Penfold, announced the couple had split up after 16 years together. In a statement on her Instagram story, Penfold said: 'I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it's necessary. 'After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways. 'We will remain friends and continue to co-parent.' Alex Jones and Jason Manford stand outside Western House, London, after appearing on Chris Evans's Radio 2 breakfast show (Fiona Hanson/PA) Jenas returned to broadcasting on TalkSport radio in February after the outlet distanced itself from him in the wake of his departure from the BBC. It is not the first time Jones has had a co-presenter leave The One Show with Jason Manford, who joined the programme at the same time as her in August 2010, resigning only three months into the role for sharing sexual internet messages with female fans. Despite co-presenting on the show for a few months, Jones said she is still 'really good pals' with Manford. – The full interview with Alex Jones can be read in this week's Big Issue, on sale now.
