Kaizer Chiefs news: Player sold for R15 million, Pitso's son heads to Italy?
Yusuf Maart has reportedly landed a move to Austrian side SV Ried.
Meanwhile, Pitso Mosimane's son Reatlegile is off to Italy.
All Chiefs squad numbers, including Monyane, Mako, and Shinga
14-year-old Reatlegile Mosimane has earned himself a trial at AS Roma. Known for being Pitso's son, the young attacker plundered 38 goals last season. That earned him the top scorer award, as Chiefs won the Gauteng Development League U13 title. He hopes to follow in the footsteps of little-known Ikenna Tladi, the nine-year-old left-footed winger from Wolmaransstad who has signed terms with the Italian side.

Not long ago, Yusuf Maart was allegedly on the brink of triggering a one-year contract extension option with Kaizer Chiefs. Now, the 29-year-old midfielder is on the verge of completing a move to Austrian side SV Ried. In three years at the club since moving from Sekhukhune, Maart has clocked up 95 appearances with seven goals and eight assists. SV Ried secured promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga for the 2025-2026 season. It's believed that Ried will part with €720k (R15 million) to land Maart.

Kaizer Chiefs news: Chiefs plan coaching boost, eye ex-player return
Kaizer Chiefs have started making big moves ahead of the 2025/26 PSL season. The club is reportedly close to finalizing the return of former head coach Dillon Sheppard to their senior technical staff. This plan would see Sheppard take on a hybrid coaching role, splitting his time between the first team and the Development and Discovery Centre (DDC). An insider revealed, 'Sheppard has always been a passionate part of Chiefs. His return will bring stability and fresh ideas both on the training ground and at the academy.' The arrangement would allow Sheppard to support local players — both young and experienced — while also continuing his work with the DDC, especially since current coach Vela Khumalo will be involved with the Under-17 national team preparing for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in September. This dual role could be critical in shaping Chiefs' future talent pipeline. In addition to the coaching changes, Chiefs have also shown interest in bringing back midfielder Lebohang Lesako. 'Scouts and recruiters have been following his progress closely. They know him well, and are happy with his growth both as a player and as a person,' the insider added. Lesako's potential return to Naturena is seen as a move to add experience and creativity to the squad, bolstering depth in midfield. Chiefs have already signed six new players this transfer window, but with at least five more players heading out, the club is clearly intent on reshaping the squad. These off-field moves could prove crucial as the team looks to challenge strongly next season. Let us know by leaving a comment below or send a WhatsApp message to 060 011 021 1. Thabo Moloisane set to leave Stellies with Big 3 circling
Thabo Moloisane will walk away from Stellenbosch FC at the end of the 2025/26 season, with his agent confirming he won't renew his contract. That means the highly-rated defender will be available as a free agent from 1 July 2026. After joining Stellenbosch following Maritzburg United's relegation in 2023, the 27-year-old centre-back has flourished. Moloisane made 46 appearances across all competitions last season, playing a pivotal role in helping the club secure a third-place finish in the Betway Premiership and a semi-final berth in the CAF Confederation Cup. Alongside Ismaël Olivier Touré, Moloisane anchored the heart of the defence, earning widespread plaudits for his commanding performances. 'Yes, this is our last dance so to speak. Thabo has had an incredible stint at Stellenbosch FC and enjoyed quite a number of milestones with the club, including being called up to Bafana Bafana,' said agent Karabo Tshabuse. 'There were discussions for a contract extension, which was tabled for him to continue playing there beyond just next season. But we could not find each other – so this will be Thabo's final year at the club.' With just six months before Moloisane becomes eligible to sign a pre-contract, interest is heating up from South Africa's traditional powerhouses, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. Kaizer Chiefs: quiet monitoring The Glamour Boys have tracked Moloisane since late 2024. Chiefs reportedly included him on their defensive wishlist and may move in with a formal offer closer to the season's conclusion. Orlando Pirates: Leading the race Pirates have shown the most aggressive interest, identifying Moloisane as a key defensive target early in 2025. Reports suggest ongoing talks, with a potential deal on the table. Scouts have consistently watched his progress, and the Bucs appear keen to seal the move. Mamelodi Sundowns: Keeping tabs Sundowns haven't made any official moves yet, but their historic connection to Moloisane, who came through their youth ranks, makes them a legitimate contender. The Brazilians have also kept a close eye on Stellenbosch's emerging talent pool. The player has admitted he's aware of the buzz surrounding his future. In a composed response, Moloisane expressed gratitude but refused to rush any decisions. 'I'm waiting for the right opportunity at the right time. God is in control, so we'll see,' he said. Where will Thabo Moloisane land? Chiefs, Pirates or Sundowns? Let us know by leaving a comment below or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1. Kaizer Chiefs starlet facing uncertain future as exit looms
Kaizer Chiefs continue reshaping their squad ahead of the new season under head coach Nasreddine Nabi, and one player's future looks increasingly bleak. While Amakhosi are hard at work in the Netherlands preparing for the upcoming campaign, they are simultaneously working to offload 22-year-old forward Donay Jansen. Chiefs had loaned Jansen to SuperSport United last season, but he failed to secure regular game time or stake a claim for a starting spot. 'Jansen is unlikely to form part of the first team at Naturena in the coming season,' a source said. Reinforcing the club's decision to find him a new home. Chiefs are actively pursuing a move that will provide Jansen with more playing opportunities, and a drop to the Motsepe Foundation Championship seems most likely. Given the influx of new signings at Naturena, Jansen finds himself pushed further down the pecking order. Chiefs have yet to confirm whether he will leave on another loan deal or exit on a permanent basis. But his prospects of reclaiming a place in the senior squad appear slim. The track record doesn't favour him either. Several Chiefs players failed to make an impact upon returning from loan spells. Jansen risks becoming the latest in that long list. Before his move to SuperSport, Jansen signed a contract with Chiefs that runs until June 2027. Despite the long-term agreement, his future at Naturena remains uncertain. The club has already begun clearing out players ahead of Nabi's new era, releasing Dove, Chivaviro, Mdantsane and Radebe. More departures are expected before the close of the transfer window, and Jansen could well be next in line. As the Soweto giants continue their revamp, players like Jansen must seek opportunities elsewhere to keep their careers on track. Whether loaned out or sold permanently, his next move could determine if he stays relevant in top-flight South African football. Was Jansen given a fair chance at Kaizer Chiefs?
