EXCLUSIVE Ted Lasso RETURNS to America as filming begins with Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple
On Monday, production kicked off on the highly anticipated next installment of Ted Lasso, which is being filmed in none other than Kansas City—Jason Sudeikis's real-life hometown.
In images, obtained by DailyMail.com, several of the show's fan-favorite cast members, including Juno Temple, Hannah Waddingham, and Jeremy Swift, were all seen reprising their iconic roles on location at a sunny soccer field.
The stateside pivot marks the first time Ted Lasso has filmed in the U.S. after three Emmy-winning seasons set across the pond.
Additional scenes are still expected to shoot in London, where the fictional AFC Richmond made their unlikely rise.
While plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, Sudeikis was seen in his character's signature mustache and sweater combo.
Meanwhile, Temple rocked a tied-up yellow shirt with a soccer ball on it, black studded miniskirt and 'KC' baseball cap.
Waddingham also opted for a casual ensemble, which consisted of a navy 'Kanas City' tee and pants.
The cast's sighting comes after Apple TV's head of development, Matt Cherniss, told Deadline he has 'high hopes for season four of Ted Lasso.'
'I have high hopes for season four of Ted Lasso, we're just getting down that road. I don't know what more can be said about Ted Lasso that hasn't already been said, and we're so excited that it's coming back,' he said in July.
Cherniss continued: 'I don't think I want to say anything about the direction that the show is going, only that I think if you love Ted Lasso you're gonna love the next season.'
Four months earlier, Sudeikis confirmed there will be a season four of Ted Lasso while appearing on Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights.
'Ted's coaching a women's team, so there, that's it,' the actor teased.
Lasso, the American football-turned soccer coach played by Sudeikis, had coached fictional Premier League side AFC Richmond in the first three seasons of the show.

In response to Sudeikis' revelation for season 4, Travis asked if that meant Lasso would be returning to his native US.
'That's too many questions,' Sudeikis playfully replied, before noting he didn't actually know the answer himself.
Sudeikis added that coming up with a new season was both 'exciting' and 'daunting.'
'Because we told the story we wanted to tell, but there's more there and it is a neat group of people to work with,' he said.
The former SNL star, 49, noted that 'the universe kept just saying things' after Hollywood emerged from the actors' and writers' strike in 2023.
'... Whether [it was kind folks at airports, or on the internet, or friends of my folks or just other people in the industry... and I was just like, 'Ok, I hear you.''
The series' co-creator, Bill Lawrence, gave life to a possible fourth season of the show in August, when he suggested the decision ultimately lied with Sudeikis.
'As fans, we'd all kill if it was going again, but everybody would say the same thing, which is: whatever Jason feels like doing and whatever his decision is, we're all down with it,' he told Collider.
The show's return comes after earning 20 Primetime Emmy Awards in its first season and winning seven including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Sudeikis.

Since premiering in 2020, the series has received 61 Primetime Emmy Awards nods.
It's also received a Producers Guild of America Award, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Writers Guild of America Awards, as well as nominations for five Directors Guild of America Awards.
It has received two Golden Globe Awards, seven Critics' Choice Television Awards, and three TCA Awards.
At this time, no release date for Season 4 of Ted Lasso has been revealed.

July 28 - It seems only appropriate that a three-game series between the teams with the two best records in the National League begins on Monday with a stellar pitching matchup. The Chicago Cubs will send All-Star left-hander Matthew Boyd (11-3, 2.20 ERA) to face the host Milwaukee Brewers, who will send All-Star right-handed rookie Jacob Misiorowski (4-1, 2.45) to the mound. The teams are tied atop of the NL Central with identical 62-43 records. Chicago took two of three from the Chicago White Sox over the weekend, while Milwaukee avoided a three-game sweep with a 3-2 win over the visiting Miami Marlins on Sunday. After beating Dodgers, Red Sox turn attention to Minnesota
July 28 - The Boston Red Sox will try to boost their playoff chances when they square off against the Minnesota Twins in the opener of a three-game series Monday night in Minneapolis. Boston is coming off back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Dodgers during the weekend. The victories gave the Red Sox a 4-5 record during a grueling stretch after the All-Star break that included series against the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies and the Dodgers. They enter Monday a half-game up on the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers for the second wild-card spot, and one back of the New York Yankees. Red Sox manager Alex Cora praised his players for how they handled the challenge. "The environment was great," Cora said after Sunday's home win over the Dodgers. "It was very similar to Philly -- in between pitches, very quiet, like everybody was expecting something big to happen. A big pitch, a big play, a big swing. That's what it's all about. "We've got a young team. We know that. For how big of a deal people were making Chicago and the Phillies and the Dodgers, it was a great learning experience for them regardless of the results," the manager continued. "Because of these nine games, they're going to be better. I don't think the stage is too big for them. But we made some mistakes. We didn't win too many games. We're going to keep learning." The next step in Boston's learning curve will take place against the Twins, who are reeling after dropping back-to-back home games to the Washington Nationals on Saturday and Sunday. Nigerians lead the world in fashion visas for Britain
More Nigerians have been granted British visas for their expertise in fashion than people from any other country, Telegraph analysis of official data shows. Nigerians have applied for by far the highest number of global talent visas that offer entry to the UK for fashion designers, as well as being granted the most approvals. The British Fashion Council – a not-for-profit company – has been given powers to endorse applications on behalf of the Home Office, which then has the final sign-off on granting the visas. The council receives about £2 million each year from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to promote British fashion. The organisation has actively sought to increase ethnic diversity in the fashion industry, particularly in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests in 2020. From 2019 to 2024, there have been 291 Nigerian applications for fashion visas, far more than any other country. The second highest number were from Chinese designers, who submitted 67 applications. The number of fashion applications from Nigeria has risen from just three in 2019 to 145 in 2024. In the same time period, 71 Nigerian applications have been endorsed by the Fashion Council – more than any other nationality. Word of the visa route has spread online, and The Telegraph has seen numerous videos on social media featuring Nigerian designers offering advice on how to enter the UK on the global talent fashion visa. One advises viewers who 'are looking to stay put' in the UK: 'Don't limit yourself to the post-study work permit, there are so many options.' The visa route has a number of criteria for applicants, who are tasked with proving their talent or YouTube promise. This includes providing proof of sales and 'international media attention'. Some designers offering advice online have found that criteria for this media attention can be met by local newspaper stories from their home country. One said they simply shared a screenshot of a blog that mentioned their work. Another said that they used discussions on Instagram in their application to prove sales had been made. The increase in application for the global talent fashion visa comes amid a growing interest in African designers. In 2022-23, the Victoria and Albert Museum hosted a popular exhibition titled African Fashion. The Arise Fashion Week in Lagos has been running for 13 years, and the showcase of African fashion has been endorsed by British supermodel and designer Naomi Campbell. There has also been a broader surge in applications for talent visas from Nigeria. The Telegraph previously revealed that people in Nigeria have made the most applications for entry to the UK via the global talent visa route for 'literature', which covers professed 'poets' and oral 'storytellers' Since 2019, Nigerians have made 729 across artistic global talent categories – dance, fashion, music, film and TV, theatre, combined arts and visual arts – second only to the US, with 977. Despite the volume of applications, Nigerians have just 59 per cent of them endorsed – the lowest of any country apart from Ghana. Since 2019, more than 5,000 applications have been made by all nationalities, with 3,600 endorsed by the Arts Council. The Home Office does not break down figures on how many of these endorsements then lead to visas being signed off by Whitehall officials.
