India-bound Dacia Bigster scores three stars in Euro NCAP crash tests
The Dacia Bigster was equipped with several safety features, including airbags, ISOFIX mounts, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, driver attention warnings, and more.

The Euro NCAP has recently published the crash test results for the Dacia Bigster. The India-bound SUV has scored a three-star safety rating, with an adult occupant safety score of 69 per cent and a child occupant safety score of 85 per cent. In vulnerable road uses, the Bigster scored 60 per cent, while in safety assist, its score was 57 per cent.
The model that was tested was equipped with a HEV powertrain and was a left-hand drive model. The safety rating is applicable to all Dacia Bigster models that are available on sale.
The safety features available on the Bigster model include airbags, ISOFIX mounts, seatbelt reminders, autonomous emergency braking, speed assistance, lane assist system, driver attention warnings, and more.

During the frontal offset test, the passenger compartment was observed to remain stable. Dummy measurements indicated effective protection for the knees and femurs of both the driver and front seat passenger. A similar level of protection is expected for occupants of different sizes and sitting in different positions. An analysis of the deceleration of the impact trolley during the test, alongside an examination of the deformable barrier after the test, indicates that the Bigster is relatively non-aggressive to other vehicles during a frontal collision.

The test mule suggests that the Triber facelift will get a newly designed front fascia with a newly designed grille that gets horizontal racks outlined by a black cladding, along with this, it will also get revised headlamps integrated with LED DRLs. The test mule also indicates that the Triber facelift will get circular fog lamps and horizontally placed air dams. Renault Triber facelift rear On the inside, Renault is expected to bring some updated tech like a larger infotainment screen and a newly designed dashboard. However, it will continue with the 7-seater configuration. More details of the Triber facelift's interior will be confirmed as the launch date gets closer. Renault has not yet specified any details about the Triber facelift. However, it is expected to retain the powertrain as offered in the current models on sale. It is likely to get a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine, mated with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Also, the brand is expected to carry forward the retrofitted CNG engine options with the Triber facelift as well.

Thane: The deteriorating condition of Ghodbunder Highway has returned to haunt motorists, leading to frequent massive traffic congestions and delays in travel time for Mumbai commuters using the arterial highway especially along the Thane and Mira-Bhayender city fringes. This crucial 14 km highway cutting through Thane and Mira-Bhayender city limits connects the Eastern and Western Express Highways at Mumbai's northern tip, linking Nashik, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Konkan, and Gujarat. Over a lakh vehicles—local, inter-city, buses, and freight—use it daily. Regulars say the worst damaged stretches along the highway are at Kajupada, Chena Bridge, and Nira Kendra on the Thane-bound side, and the Gaimukh Ghat entry and Kasarwadavli junction on the Borivli-bound lanes. Commuters complain they often endure hours being stuck in the traffic here as heavy vehicles that form a majority on this link are forced to slow down while crossing the damaged road portions.
