According to reputed tipster Universe Ice, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to retain the same 5,000mAh battery that has been a staple in Samsung's Ultra models for the past six generations. On paper, that might seem like a lack of innovation. However, there's more to it than meets the eye. Samsung is reportedly working on increasing the battery's energy density, allowing for the same power capacity in a more compact form factor.
This would make the device slimmer and potentially lighter, addressing one of the biggest complaints about the Ultra series — its growing bulk. A thinner, lighter profile without compromising on battery life could make the S26 Ultra a more comfortable daily driver for users who find today's Ultra models too hefty.
Perhaps the most exciting development revolves around the charging department. Samsung, often seen as conservative in terms of fast-charging tech, might finally be catching up with rivals like OnePlus and Xiaomi. In terms of usage, the display offers a 90Hz refresh rate, making navigation responsive and smooth with fingers or with the supported Redmi S pen that sells separately at Rs.3999. Additionally, it offers up to 600nits peak brightness, which is quite promising even when you are using the tablet outdoors in daylight. To my surprise, I did not face any major stutter or lag, and the tablet performed smoothly throughout the time of usage. Even after option three apps at once, the tablet did not show any hiccups, and switching between apps was butterfly smooth. As I said, multitasking was also a breeze; however, you may notice slight heating after about 40 minutes of continuous usage. However, if you are planning to play heavy and graphic load games such as BGMI, then the Redmi Pad 2 might not be the one for you. While the gaming experience was not choppy, but the frame drops were frequent, and at times the tablet struggled to provide smoothness, which may hamper your experience. Overall, the Redmi Pad 2 is perfect for everyday usage with multitasking, light gaming, and content viewing, making it a perfect multimedia tablet on a budget. The Redmi Pad 2 runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, which provides several productivity features such as split screens, and you can also open three apps at once via the floating window. Apart from this, it does not come with bloatware and ads, making the experience clutter-free and smooth throughout. Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series leaks in full glory, full specs and pricing revealed ahead of July 9 launch
Just days ahead of the official Galaxy Unpacked event, almost everything about the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series has now leaked — from design and specs to pricing. The lineup this year is expected to include three new smartwatches: the standard Galaxy Watch 8, the return of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). While earlier leaks hinted at a revamped design and some feature changes, this latest leak spills the beans on practically everything. Not only are we looking at hardware upgrades across the board, but we're also seeing some big changes in storage, battery capacity, and display to Dealabs via 9to5Google, all three watches will ship with Samsung's latest One UI 8 Watch interface and the new Exynos W1000 chip built on a 3nm process. The Galaxy Watch 8 will be available in two sizes — 40mm and 44mm — while the Classic comes in a 46mm variant. The Galaxy Watch Ultra, as the name suggests, is the largest and most rugged of the lot with a 47mm titanium case. Battery life seems to be getting a noticeable boost this year, with the Ultra packing a huge 590mAh battery, while the Classic and standard models carry 445mAh and up to 435mAh, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and Ultra also double the internal storage to 64GB, compared to 32GB on the regular Watch 8. As per the leak, all three watches come with Super AMOLED displays capable of hitting up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The Ultra, Classic, and 44mm Watch 8 models have a 1.47-inch display (480x480), while the 40mm version sports a 1.34-inch panel (438x438), with 327 ppi pixel density on all versions. As for durability, the standard Watch 8 gets an aluminium frame, the Classic uses stainless steel, and the Ultra features a tougher titanium build, all paired with sapphire glass protection. The sensor suite across the range includes all the essentials, like an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, ECG, and BIA.
