Jordan Spieth's summer has been like a roller coaster ride on the golf course. The 3-time major winner withdrew mid-round from the Travelers Championship last month due to a sudden neck injury.
That continued pain also forced him to skip the Genesis Scottish Open, which announced Chris Gotterup as the winner on Sunday.
The Travelers setback marked the 13-time PGA Tour winner's first career withdrawal in 297 PGA Tour starts. But not all news is grim!
While Rory McIlroy was battling Clark and Gotterup at the Renaissance Club, Spieth shared a personal milestone that lit up social media.
"We added a new member to the foursome – Sully Spieth! Everyone is doing great," he posted on Instagram, announcing the birth of his third child.
The photo featured newborn Sully, joining siblings Sammy and Sophie, and wife Annie Spieth.

Known for his warmth around kids and family-first approach, Spieth's bond with his children has often been visible, whether walking the Par-3 contest at Augusta or sharing quiet moments off the course.
With Sully's arrival, that connection deepens.
"I've got a couple little kids, another one on the way, and, you know, so obviously perspectives change, what priorities change in the course of life.
"I get to have my son and daughter out on the par-three tomorrow... it's just forever till I have kids out here," Jordan said earlier this season when asked about balancing golf and fatherhood.
Now, Sully is officially part of the foursome.

The timing of the announcement comes just days before the 153rd Open Championship, set to begin July 17 at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.
Earlier this week, Spieth confirmed he'll be a "late arrival" but is "back to full strength" and has "no restrictions" heading into the final major of the season.
His history at The Open holds a strong stat, including the 2017 win at Royal Birkdale, a runner-up finish in 2021, and five top-10s in his 11 starts.

Rhea Perlman was shocked over 'Cheers' co-star George Wendt's death

Cheers to him. Rhea Perlman is weighing in on the recent death of her former 'Cheers' co-star, George Wendt. 'That was the saddest thing ever, when George passed away,' Perlman, 77, exclusively told The Post while promoting her new Netflix show, 'Too Much.' Advertisement 'Really unexpected. None of us thought he was that sick. And I don't think he thought he was that sick – because we had seen him not that long ago during the Emmys. We did some special bit during the Emmys,' she recalled, referring to the 'Cheers' reunion during the 2024 awards ceremony. 7 Rhea Perlman as Carla Tortelli, George Wendt as Norm Peterson in 'Cheers.' 'Everything seemed just fine.' Wendt died at age 76 of cardiac arrest on May 20. His death certificate also reportedly listed congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease and hypertension as underlying causes. 'Ted Lasso' star Jason Sudeikis was Wendt's nephew. 7 George Wendt and Rhea Pearlman of 'Cheers' arrive for NBC's 75th Anniversary Special May 5, 2002 at Rockefeller Center. 'He was an incredible influence to me, both as someone that plays the trail being from the Midwest and teaching me that acting was a career you could actually have, and it's also a career where you could meet the love of your life like his wife, and AKA permanent girlfriend, Bernadette,' the 'Saturday Night Live' alum concluded. 7 John Ratzenberger, Kelsey Grammer, Ted Danson, George Wendt, Rhea Perlman and Kirstie Alley of 'Cheers.' 'The Naked Gun' Reboot Popcorn Bucket References Original Classic Gag

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors If you saw "Superman" opening weekend, then you no doubt noticed all the collectible popcorn buckets on sale. Well, it turns out big action blockbusters aren't the only movies that can get their own collectible popcorn buckets. Regal Cinemas has revealed their bucket for the upcoming reboot of "The Naked Gun" and it references one of the classic gags from the original 1988 film. Here's a hint: it involves a stuffed beaver. You can see the bucket below. The first 'NAKED GUN' popcorn bucket has been revealed. — DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) July 14, 2025 Read More: 'Road House 2' Loses Fan-Favorite Director As you can see in the photo above, the collectible bucket is in the shape of a beaver with a compartment in the back that opens to hold popcorn. The smiling critter is leaning on a log that says "Nice Beaver." Liam Neeson in "The Naked Gun." Liam Neeson in "The Naked Gun." Paramount Fans of 1988's "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!" may remember the joke the bucket is referencing. Shortly after first meeting Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen), Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley) climbs a ladder. Drebin waits at the bottom, appearing to look up her skirt. He comments, "nice beaver." She replies, "Thank you, I just had it stuffed," and passes down an actual stuffed beaver. It's indicative of the goofy humor you can expect from any of the early "Naked Gun" films. From what we've seen from trailers and TV spots of the "Naked Gun" reboot, we can expect the same kind of gags and puns. Instead of Nielsen and Presley, "The Naked Gun" reboot features a romance between Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. Neeson plays Frank Drebin, Jr., the son of the character Nielsen played in the original films. Anderson said she loved working with Neeson and hopes they get to work together again on sequels to the reboot. "We had many dinners out with the cast," Anderson recalled. "I invited him and his assistant over for romantic dinners with me and my assistant so our relationship stayed 'professionally romantic' during filming." "The Naked Gun" hits theaters on August 1. The film is directed by Akiva Schaffer from a script by Schaffer, Dan Gregor, and Doug Mand. "The Naked Gun" stars Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Runnels and CCH Pounder.
