Aussie groom mocked over his extravagant wedding day celebrations... as rumours swirl that the couple have ALREADY split just hours after tying the knot

Daily Mail26-05-2025
An Australian groom has been mercilessly mocked on social media over his very extravagant wedding day celebrations.
Ali Abbas tied the knot with influencer Jasmin Mitwali in a stunning wedding in Sydney on Saturday.
After a video was shared of Ali arriving to his big day on horseback, social media users wasted no time in mocking the Sydney groom.
The clip, posted by Spinning Booth, showed the happy groom celebrating on the back of a white horse as it slowly made its way down a suburban street.
The street was lined with revellers as Ali pumped his palm triumphantly in the air while celebratory music played in the background.

The video then panned to show Jasmin dancing euphorically on a balcony, flanked by well-wishers.
However, commenters were quick to rain on Ali's parade, with some comparing him to convicted criminal and former Auburn City Council Deputy Mayor Salim Mehajer.
'Bruv get off that poor horse, take your Salim Mehajer attempt. Back to Greenacre n stop embarrassing yourself,' one person commented.
Another chimed in with a similar: 'Temu Salim Mehajer,' a sentiment echoed throughout the comments section.
Salim made headlines back in 2015 when he tied the knot with his now ex-wife Aysha.
A street procession, similar to the one featuring Ali, featured four helicopters, a squadron of luxury cars, a battalion of drummers, a red carpet and a cake nearly taller than the bride.
Others were quick to defend the extravagant display with one person telling people to 'leave the couple alone'.
'People acting like it's the first time they see a horse at a Leb wedding... nothing new leave the couple alone,' they wrote.
'Congratulations to you both wishing you both a life time of happiness.'
Another offered: 'Good on you mate thinking different then all the other weddings, good job.'
Jasmin, who boasts 580,000 followers on TikTok, posted several videos to social media showcasing her big day which featured lavish floral decorations, Lebanese drummers and a towering wedding cake.
However, Jasmin has since deleted all her wedding posts, leaving no trace of the special nuptials other than event companies posting to showcase their work from the day.
Many fans flocked to social media to question whether the pair had split, less than two days after getting married.
'Did Jasmin get divorced???' one person asked.
'I don't get why no one is saying the truth. Is it full show or did they actually get divorced?' another asked.
'Jazzy is back on the market,' another claimed while one asked: 'What happened?'
However, some fans defended the couple and insisted they were in fact still together but had removed their wedding photos due to harsh comments.
'She deleted everything because of all the keyboard warriors. Leave her alone you only get married once and y'all can't let a girl just live,' someone commented.
'These comments make social media not worth sharing your life,' another said.
'It's just rumours no way it's true,' one person insisted.

Sonny Bill Williams goes to war with UFC legend who accused him of being a liar who 'dishonoured his religion' in stunning outburst

Footy great turned boxer Sonny Bill Williams has hit back at MMA legend Mark Hunt, who accused the cross-code star of ripping him off over their 2022 boxing bout in Sydney. 'SBW' suffered the first professional defeat of his boxing career when the pair squared off three years ago, with Hunt scoring a technical knockout win in the fourth round. Hunt said at the time that he accepted the fight largely for financial reasons, but has since complained about what he was paid afterwards. 'I was promised a certain amount of money,' Hunt told the Big Kash podcast. 'But I made a deal, not a contract. I shook the hand of a man I thought because he's a man of faith, that he's trustworthy. 'It is what it is. He didn't honour his word and he ripped me off, so at the end of the day it is what it is. '... we had a handshake deal, and I trusted his word and what he said to me, and he's a man of faith and he's supposed to be a man of faith, but he didn't honour me, bro, and he didn't honour his religion.' On Wednesday, Williams - who is a devout Muslim - replied to Hunt's accusation that he had been ripped off in the deal. 'Now I want to clarify something,' Williams said on his Instagram story. 'Factual points. We had an agreement that everything that we done got split 50-50. We set up a bank account, had signatures on it that anything that came out of that account, or went into that account, him and his guy would see and my guy would see. 'Anything that went out, my guy would have to sign it and Mark and his guy would have to sign it. 'Other factual points are that pay-per-views done really bad. Only over 8000 people, I think, bought the fight. So you do the math, that times fifty bucks or whatever that was. 'The fight just didn't generate any money and that's the actual factual points. 'The other thing I want to talk about is him questioning my integrity or my guy's integrity. 'We owe no one nothing. You know, I've always stood on that. And I'll always stand on that until I die. 'I pay my dues. Khoder (Nasser, Williams' manager) pays our dues. From anything to do with camp, sparring, training. Whatever it is, we always pay up front. Because that's what we're taught, you know. 'I don't fear no man. Khoder doesn't fear no man. We fear Allah and on the day of judgement these things will all come to light.' Williams finished up his response by telling Hunt that he should give him a phone call if he wants to discuss the matter further.

Bec Judd makes shock confession about her four children: 'I would not recommend'

Bec Judd, 42, made a surprising admission about motherhood on her Vain-ish podcast this week. The AFL WAG shares four children – Oscar, 13, Billie, 10, and twins Darcy and Tom, eight, with her husband Chris Judd. Speaking with her bestie and podcast co-host Jess Roberts, Bec's revelation is likely to leave her youngest, Darcy and Tom, scratching their heads. 'I just think four kids is a lot. Anything over two, I think is too many,' she revealed on air. Jess, who has three children, agreed, adding: 'You know what? It's a lot of chaos. And just to spread yourself between the four of them. I don't know how you do it. I struggle with three.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Bec then gave an insight into her hectic lifestyle, admitting that it is a big challenge wrangling four children. 'It's like, we will be in the car and I'll be screaming at one of them, I'm threatening one to walk home. 'One's always injured or has some medical issue, or the school's calling about something,' she said. 'There's always something popping off.' It seems that the in-car yelling has rubbed off on her kids, with Bec admitting her children agree with her assessment. 'The kids in the car, when I'm screaming at them, just say: "Mum, when we grow up, we don't think we're going to have four kids – it's too many",' she laughed. 'I would not trade any of my kids in, but man, I would not recommend four!' Bec has never been one to shy away from sharing the minutiae of motherhood with her 725,000 Instagram followers - both good and bad. Back in January, for example, Bec took to her Instagram Stories to call out her two youngest children for causing havoc in the family's $7.3 million mansion in the Melbourne seaside suburb of Brighton. 'The last day of this bullsh*t,' Bec captioned a photo of Tom and Darcy's shared bedroom in a state of squalor. The mum-of-four rang in her 42nd birthday with a lavish party just days prior, followed by a long lunch at Montalto Winery. After a weekend of festivities, Bec returned to mum duties and was not at all pleased with the state of her boys' bedroom. Her photo showed the beds unmade, one with sheets ripped off, all the drawers in their double dressers left hanging open in a state of disarray, and shoes, toys and backpacks strewn across the floor. Two single mattresses had been added to the floor, presumably for a sleepover. 'Back to school you go boys,' she wrote in her caption. 'Considering boarding school for the twins at this point. 'I've also Googled military school and there's one in Queensland, but they're too young at this point.' She ended her caption with a disgusted emoji, followed by a series of laugh-crying emojis. It came just a week after Bec said she was 'sick' of her twins still behaving like toddlers. 'I popped my head in to see what we're dealing with today,' Bec began in a recent video, which shows dirty and clean clothes, books, and toys strewn all over the twins' bedroom. All of the drawers in a large clothing chest are pulled out, with clothes half pulled out of them and also thrown across the floor. 'How did we create these humans?' she asked her husband in the video's caption, tagging him. Bec described the messy state of the boys' bedroom as 'standard'. 'I'm packing up some s*** and found this,' Bec explained, as she zoomed in on a pile of glittery goop, which contained her sewing scissors and a stapler.

Footy WAG opens up about her heartbreaking battle to have children after her marriage to AFL star fell apart just months after they tied the knot: 'I was a shell of a human'

Former WAG Maddison Sullivan-Thorpe has opened up about her marriage breakdown to AFL star Lachie Hunter and the emotional toll of her heartbreaking four-year IVF journey. Sullivan-Thorpe, 30, split with her Bulldogs star husband in 2023 after less than a year of marriage and has since made peace with the fact that she will probably never be able to have kids. She started IVF at age 23 after visiting a fertility specialist and eventually gave up after lack of success. 'My fertility specialist is one of the most incredible women I've ever had the privilege of knowing - she was really honest about what the likelihood of that (sixth) round was,' Sullivan-Thorpe told the Inherited podcast. 'It didn't stop at absolutely breaking my heart. I think I was broken-hearted going into that and I was crushed finishing it. 'But I always say doing IVF is being part of a club that no one wants to be a part of and yet it is the most beautiful embodiment of the sisterhood you will ever see. 'And I am so grateful to every woman who ever reached out to me... who was so generous of spirit. It's a heartache like nothing else. 'And I think the challenge for me was I went from trying to have a baby to trying to preserve the idea of having a baby and the opportunity. 'Motherhood is something I've chosen to define very differently as I've gotten older and worked through the likelihood for me. 'I've done everything I can and will forever be so grateful to the 23 to 27 year-old version of me who gave everything and sacrificed so much to potentially give me the opportunity to be a mum.' Sullivan-Thorpe, who now has a fashion podcast and has founded Dom St Consulting, spoke about how emotionally draining the process was. 'When you're told that you may not be able to have something that you thought you could maybe do 10-12 years later - I always thought I'd be like a 35, 38 year-old mum,' she said. 'And that's a naivety younger me had in of itself. I don't know many 23 year-olds are thinking about fertility at that age. 'I actually got George (her golden retriever) the day before I went in for my third egg retrieval and it was love at first sight. This tiny beautiful thing that needed me and I needed him. I went in and they had not always been great days for me. Sullivan-Thorpe pays tribute to her friends who have stuck by her throughout her darkest times - and her golden retriever George 'He was an unintentional Covid dog. Every morning I walk with him. Going through the fertility struggles that I continued with for a few years after that, and then the breakdown of a long-term relationship, it's very easy to want to lay in bed and pull the cover over your eyes and do all those things and wallow. 'But when you have a 30kg dog... you've got to get up. I love that ritual because I have to do something for someone else every day.' Sullivan-Thorpe says she's doing a lot better these days and she owes a lot to her friends who have stood by her through thick and thin. 'I was a shell of a human. I could not have got through it without them,' she said. 'I think a lot about the way they showed up for me. I was incredibly low and incredibly distressed. It was complex and they were there. 'For so long I thought I'd never feel love again. I've never felt more loved, more respected or seen such loyalty in my entire life than I have from my friends. 'And they would go to war for them and I them. And I wake up just going if I can be half a friend they have been to me that is all I could achieve.'
