Popstars winners Hear'Say today - from Dancing On Ice champ to Coronation Street
Hear'Say catapulted to stardom in 2001 after clinching victory in the popular singing contest Popstars, but have since gone their separate ways.
Back in 2000, thousands of aspiring singers flocked to auditions for ITV's talent show, Popstars. The hopefuls were evaluated by Nigel Lythgoe, Paul Adam and Nicki Chapman, who had previously worked with the Spice Girls.
The five selected vocalists formed Hear'Say, while the five runners-up went on to create the band Liberty X. The pop group's achievements set the stage for success for its members - Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan.
During their time together, they dominated the charts with their hit single Pure and Simple and their album titled Popstars – both the single and the album secured the number one spots at the time.
2001 saw the band achieve so much, going from strength to strength and garnering an impressive fan base. Due to Kym's unwavering popularity, she fast became the most famous member - which was partly down to the fact that she was dating EastEnders ' actor Jack Ryder at the time.
Everything fell apart for the band when Kym announced she was leaving in 2002 – but what have the Hear'Say members been up to since they went their separate ways?
Kym Marsh
As we discovered earlier on, Kym left the band in 2002 to 'pursue solo ventures' – but she later revealed that not all was what it seemed. Rumours have often swirled around whether or not there were feuds among the bandmates, and apparently, this was the case.
Kym apparently clashed with Myleene Klass and Noel Sullivan – which is part of the reason the band split. Jumping ship from music to acting, Kym moved to the cobbled streets and joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2006.
Fans will remember the brunette beauty joining the soap as Michelle Connor, where she was a part of some huge storylines. She ended up staying in the soap for 13 years and announced her departure in 2019.
Myleene Klass
Mylene is another successful former member of Hear'Say and has gone on to have a glowing career since the band broke up. One year after the band split, she signed a five-album deal with Universal Classics and Jazz, with a classical music album being released a year later in 2003.
She's had number ones and number twos in the UK chart – going from strength-to-strength as a classical music artist. Myleene has also had a glowing career on TV and has often popped up on our screens.
Most will remember the stunning brunette star for appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2006 – yes, she was responsible for the slew of iconic shower scenes! In 2010, she also hosted Popstar to Operastar – keeping her work within the realm of her classical music expertise. And you may recognise her dulcet tones from presenting her own radio show on Smooth Radio.
Suzanne Shaw
Suzanne Shaw was just 21 when Hear'Say split, but this didn't prevent her from making a name for herself and hitting the big time. She went on to perform on the West End and was the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in 2005.
After that, she starred as Janet in The Rocky Horror Show national tour. A couple of years after her theatre stin,t she went on to star in The Bill in 2007.
Fans of the band or those who love the soaps might recognise her from her role of Eve Birch in Emmerdale, or from when she won Dancing on Ice in 2008. More recently,y she's dipped her toe into panto and in 2021 she played Belle in Beauty and the Beast at Chesterfield's Pomegranate Theatre.
Danny Foster
Danny Foster hasn't really stayed in the public eye since the breakdown of the super band, but he's doing pretty well. He's thought to still be singing, while in the band, Danny Foster & The Big Soul Corporation, which has a focus on performing Motown songs.
His dream of making it big has never gone away though and in 2013 he auditioned for The Voice but sadly didn't make it through. Danny's social media presence is very low-key, and he has just under 4K followers on Instagram.
Posting snippets of his life with wife Victoria Goddard, Danny appears to be incredibly spiritual and his bio says he's, "on a mission - creating life of well-being" along with "spreading love".
Noel Sullivan
Noel Sullivan is a Welsh singer and actor who has gone on to have a brilliant career since his stint in the band and its subsequent downfall. Like Suzanne, he has gone on to star in many stage productions, including Fame and as Danny in Grease on the West End.
In 2010, he appeared in the hit rom-com TV series Gavin and Stacey. Noel announced he got hitched in 2017 to his husband James.

Alison Hammond chokes up as she reveals major Ozzy Osbourne regret live on This Morning - admitting 'I feel so, so bad'
Alison Hammond was overcome with emotion as she revealed her major Ozzy Osbourne regret live on This Morning. The rocker died on Tuesday, aged 76, just weeks after he took to the stage for his final show with Black Sabbath, with his family confirming the sad news in a statement. During Wednesday's instalment of the ITV show, Alison, 50, revealed that the music legend's son, Jack, 39, had invited her to what turned out to be his final gig in their shared hometown of Birmingham at Villa Park, but she missed the text message. She said: 'It's so so sad. Do you wanna know something? I had a message from Jack saying, "Come to the concert." I didn't see the message. 'He said, "My mum wants to extend the invitation." I didn't see the message, and literally, I looked at it today and I missed it.' On the verge of tears, the Big Brother legend admitted: 'I feel so, so bad because I could've gone to see him. I'm so sad. But I did watch the concert and I thought it was unbelievable.' Later on Loose Women, Jane Moore, 63, who is a close friend to the Osbourne's, shared her insight into Ozzy and Sharon's marriage after living with them for a brief period of time. The panellist and journalist lived with the Osbourne family for two weeks while ghost writing Sharon's memoir, Unbreakable. And during Wednesday's instalment of the ITV show, Jane reminisced on her friendship with Ozzy. After sharing that she initially thought his death was 'another online hoax', she gave viewers an insight into the couple's marriage. Jane shared: 'I had this sort of plan that I would wake up very early in the morning, about 7:00am, get yesterday's notes written up while the house was quiet before the next day started. 'But Ozzy always used to get up early as well, and he would sit talking to me and because I trained as a journalist in Birmingham, I'm quite used to the Birmingham accent, so I could understand him. 'It was still quite strong, and a lot of people in LA just didn't understand a word he was saying. 'So, he was quite pleased that there was somebody there that could he could chat away with, and he had so many funny stories. You know, and they had a tempestuous marriage over the years. She said: 'It's so so sad. Do you wanna know something? I had a message from Jack saying, "Come to the concert." I didn't see the message, She continued: 'I did a tour with Sharon last year. She did, like, a talk show on stage where I was the person interviewing her, and I asked her some incredibly honest questions. 'I mean, she's probably the most honest person I've ever interviewed in my life, and she just sort of told these stories, very matter of factly, but freely admitted they were co-dependent. 'She said, "I can't live without him and he can't live without me." And he used to say that to me all the time. He used to say, "without Sharon, I would be dead", and that's absolutely true, you know, because she saved him from himself so many times over the years. 'And, you know, a lot of people would look at it and go, "oh, you know, it's a bit rock and roll, and it's, dysfunctional family," but they're not really, you know, at the heart of it, there's this incredible love and loyalty for each other.' The Black Sabbath frontman performed from a throne on stage at Villa Park in Birmingham less than three weeks ago. In a sad statement confirming his death, his family said on Tuesday evening: 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.' The rocker was able to bid an emotional farewell to his fans on stage this month as he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time since 2005. 'You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart,' Osbourne told the crowd in his final speech. The music legend vowed, however, that it would be his final ever performance due to his health, having opened up about his battle with Parkinson's in 2020. Ozzy revealed earlier this year that he could no longer walk amid his six-year battle with Parkinson's disease. However, he still managed to reunite with his bandmates Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward for their final gig earlier this month. Ozzy was born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham in 1948, and dropped out of school at the age of 15. After serving two months in prison for burglary, he decided to pursue his love of music and by 1970, Black Sabbath had gained a huge following in the US and UK with the release of their first album. Ozzy quit the band in 1978 and divorced his first wife, Thelma, whom he had two children with, four years later, amid his ongoing substance abuse problems. He went on to marry his second wife, Sharon Osbourne, who helped him transform into a successful solo artist, and the couple had three children together. Ozzy gained a whole new audience of fans with the family's reality TV show The Osbournes in 2001. He is survived by his wife Sharon and his five children, Jessica, Louis, Aimee, Kelly and Jack.

ITV star reveals gruesome broken bone was kept secret on shark series
Stand-up comedian Ross Noble has revealed the reason he 'never stands up on the boat' ITV's new shark show is because of a nasty foot injury. The 49-year-old entertainer is one of the famous contestants facing down a sea of sharks in the aptly named Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters alongside stars like Lucy Punch, Rachel Riley and Helen George. All in a bid to reshape the public's view of sharks and their nature – transformed Although the daredevil show requires the celebrities to dive and swim in the ocean (with the help of expert), now Ross has shared some gruesome photos of an injury he received before filming that was kept hidden on camera. 'For those of you wondering why on [the] Shark show on ITV I never stand up on the boat and drag myself around. The answer is, and it is never mentioned in the show, I broke my foot just before we started filming. 'The doctor signed me off to swim which meant the adventure could continue,' he wrote in a post on social media. He added: 'The crew were amazing and the care was first class. Putting on a wetsuit over a broken foot is not pleasant but there is no way I was going to miss out on what was one of the greatest experiences of my life.' The post is accompanied by a series of photos showing the extent of the broken injury with one snap of him splayed out on the boat with a cast around his foot. Then there is another with a close up of his injury with the side of his foot alarmingly swollen and bruised, and finally a snap of him wearing a knee length black leg cast. The TV comic hasn't revealed how exactly he received the injury but people have shared their sympathy in the comments. 'Glad you got to do something amazing as you were healing,' shaynnablaze wrote on Instagram. 'Yet you were such a trooper through it all. Badass man,' pauldegelder added. 'We were already impressed. Now we bow down to you,' sherlockguest echoed. Ross has not had an easy ride of it on the show, also getting bitten by a shark on the leg while filming. In a post addressing the leg bite, he shared a joking live shot of a plastic shark going for his leg with the caption: 'Sure it was just a nip but on my bucket list i have ticked off Bitten by a shark.' More Trending The comedian – who has appeared on staple panel shows like Have I Got News For You – has faced more health troubles than just a broken bone in recent months. Earlier this year, he was forced to postpone part of his tour after contracting a kidney infection which left him in the hospital. 'In all my years of touring I can count on one hand the number of shows I have had to postpone due to illness. The show must go on and I am usually able to power through. Sadly this time I have been told by the doctor not to,' he said to his followers at the time. View More » Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters airs every Monday at 9pm on ITV. Jessye Werner, Communications Manager at Women's Aid, acknowledged the efforts production companies have made to highlight toxic behaviours but stressed that more progress is necessary. She told The Tab: "Despite these positive steps, we still see unhealthy patterns of behaviour on these shows, showing just how steeped in misogyny and sexism our society still is. 'Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs. Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls. 'More must be done to educate contestants on sexism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them.' 4 On July 20 there were 222 complaints - the majority of which related to alleged misogynistic behaviour by Dejon
