Missing UK man Robert Kincaid last seen over two weeks ago found alive in Paris
Missing Robert Kincaid has been 'found alive in Paris' two weeks after he was last seen.
It is understood that the 38-year-old was discovered by emergency services in the French capital this morning and is currently receiving emergency medical treatment. Mr Kincaid could not be located after he missed his connecting flight at Charles de Gaulle Airport on July 17.
He had traveled from Benin in West Africa, where he had been working on an oil rig. But it has now been reported that he has been found, ending a two week search. It comes after a woman, 20, was found dead on bus with 26 iPhones glued to her body.
Mr Kincaid was initially due to travel home on July 30, but it has since been established that he left the oil rig early for reasons that remain unclear. The man, from Tullycarnet in East Belfast, had travelled from Benin and was due to board a connecting flight to Dublin, BelfastLive report.
He later told a friend he was in the airport bar after missing his flight, but when his family tried to contact him, they were met with silence. Two FaceTime calls to his phone that evening were answered by unknown individuals, one man, then a woman. Since then, there has been no trace of him.
Robert's family travelled to Paris on Wednesday to work directly with the French authorities to locate their brother, travelling across the city putting up missing persons posters. Speaking on Friday, Robert's brother Louis said: "Rab has been found by emergency services and is requiring ongoing emergency treatment. While he is not out of the woods yet, we are just glad he is alive. As a family, we would ask for privacy in the time ahead as we deal with the situation."
'When we arrived at the police station, they had no record of Robert's disappearance being reported to them, so we filed a missing persons report there and then. They kept asking us if we were sure that he was in Paris and how we knew that he was in Charles de Gaulle,' his brother Louis said previously.
According to Louis, police in Paris initially insisted Robert had never arrived in France. They claimed he had not boarded the flight from Cotonou, Benin, and had not used his passport. 'The police loaded up a laptop and said that he never got on the plane from Benin and said that he never presented his passport.
"They were adamant that he was not in Paris and told us that he had been booked on a flight from Benin to Paris last night, which was due to arrive this morning,' he said. However, the situation took a further turn when Foreign Office officials confirmed Robert had indeed boarded the original flight on July 17. His name appeared on the flight log, and his passport had been scanned.

Kirsty Carless has been jailed for life. A tragic boyfriend who was murdered by his ex predicted 'something bad would happen' shortly before his death. Louis Price was killed by Kirsty Carless. The "manipulative, emotionally volatile, and jealous' ex was this week jailed for life over the death of the 31-year-old, who had suffered horrific abuse at her hands. The Mirror reports she was told she must serve a minimum of 25 years, after being found guilty of Louis' murder following a hearing at Stafford Crown Court. The court heard how killer Carless, 33, had already been on police bail for strangling Louis the month before she brutally murdered him, in an act "motivated by anger and jealousy and fuelled by cocaine and alcohol". Father-of-six Louis had been considered by police officers to be 'at very high risk of domestic abuse'. Following the strangulation incident on November 11, 2024, Louis had called 999. He told of how Carless had poured bleach over tracksuits worth £400 after putting them in the bin. He'd also said she'd thrown a glass candle holder at him, pulled him down the stairs, and choked him. In a harrowing witness statement, Louis described how the relationship, which began in 2021, had been 'on the whole, abusive', adding that Carless had stopped him doing things he enjoyed, such as playing football, as well as physically abusing him. Hauntingly, at a funeral held at the end of November 2024, Louis confided in his friend Demi-Louise Deakin about his on-off relationship with Carless. He admitted he was 'scared of Kirsty' and feared that 'something bad would happen' if he did not leave her. Mere weeks later, he was dead. The terrible events that unfolded began on Christmas Eve 2024, an evening which Carless, from Cannock, Staffordshire, spent at the pub drinking double vodka and cokes with a male friend. She then went back to this man's house, where they had sex. It was at around 1.30 am on Christmas Day that a female friend sent Carless a screenshot of Louis' Tinder profile. Furious, Carless took a taxi back to her house, where she collected a kitchen knife. She then ordered another taxi to Louis' parents' home, where he'd been staying since the abusive relationship ended. While waiting for this second taxi, Carless called Louis repeatedly. Less than two minutes after they pulled up, an 'anxious and sweating' Carless got back into the taxi and demanded the driver take her back to her parents' home. It was then that she confessed what she had done, and 999 was called. Giving evidence to the trial, Carless claimed she had no recollection of stabbing Louis. Stating she was 'not a violent person' Carless told the court she'd only gone to Louis' address as she believed he'd taken money from a card she had in her home. After picking up a knife with the intent to destroy the caravan Louis had been staying in in his parents' back garden, Carless claimed she'd 'panicked' after he was stabbed and fled the scene. As well as being found unanimously guilty of murder and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, Carless was also found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm relating to a previous incident, but cleared of intentional strangulation.

Man who 'sexually abused shackled girlfriend for two weeks' RELEASED from jail
Timothy Wood, 36, was arrested after his girlfriend managed to flee a shed she was allegedly held captive in - before appearing at a neighbour's house covered in cuts and bruises A man accused of holding his girlfriend captive inside a shed and sexually abusing her for two weeks has been freed from jail. Police arrested Timothy Wood, 36, on July 2 after the woman managed to flee through an unlocked door and showed up at a neighbour's house with cuts and bruises all over her body. She told officers that Wood locked her in a shed where she was stuffed into a crawl space for two days, and beat her with an electrical chord. The Phoenix Police Department arrested the dad-of-three for aggravated assault, sexual assault, felony kidnapping, and unlawful imprisonment. But after further evidence was obtained through a request by the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Wood was released from jail. Speaking to local news last week, the alleged victim said: "They told me that there was enough evidence to put him away. They told me that they found everything. The forensic nurse even corroborated my injuries. I want to get him off the streets not only to get justice for me, but to keep him from hurting somebody else 'cause he will." It comes after a woman, 20, was found dead on bus with 26 iPhones glued to her body. The Mirror has contacted the Phoenix Police department for comment. Wood, who has a documented history of domestic violence, allegedly chained the woman, physically abused her, and at one point, reportedly buried her alive. Court documents revealed that the dad locked his victim inside a makeshift cell behind his home after she was evicted. The shed was reportedly sealed with chains and bricks, and she was only allowed out when escorted by Wood. Prosecutors allege the woman was subjected to escalating abuse. She told police the beatings only paused when she agreed to have sex with him. Wood allegedly used an electrical cord to whip her, threatened to saw off her foot, and even knelt on her neck until she couldn't breathe. At one point, she claimed he confined her in a crawlspace and covered it, effectively burying her alive for two days. Her eventual escape came when she discovered an unlocked door and fled to a neighbour, who described her as "frantic" and visibly injured, with black eyes, a gash on her head, and multiple bruises. "She was scared to death that he was going to find her and kill her," the neighbour told Fox 10 Phoenix. During a recent court appearance, prosecutors stated the woman was repeatedly raped under threat of death and restrained using chains. "This victim, very well for 14 days, may have been worried that she may not survive this incident," a county attorney said. Wood denies the allegations, calling them "crazy" and blaming the woman's mental health, telling the judge she just got "out of the loony bin," claiming she was prone to "episodes" and that her mother usually handled them. "I wasn't home at the time. When I got home, the police were there, and this all just kind of broke out," he added. In 2007, Wood was arrested for aggravated assault, and later for attempted domestic violence in 2010 - both cases resulting in guilty pleas. In the earlier case, police said witnesses saw him trying to force a screaming woman into his truck. He told officers she was his girlfriend and they were just arguing.

Brendon Walters, who evaded cops in a high-speed chase, was eventually caught by Nottinghamshire Police after they spotted his face on the screensaver of his girlfriend's iPad A dangerous driver was identified after police found a picture of him on his girlfriend's iPad. Brendon Walters had managed to shake off pursuing police in a high-speed chase through Bullwell, a suburb of Nottingham. A police check found a black Audi car belonging to Walters' girlfriend but noted that a male was driving it. After the car slipped away from the police, cops went to the woman's property in the Nottinghamshire town of Hucknall. An officer noticed the Audi was still warm, despite Walters' girlfriend saying it had not been driven. An iPad inside the car had a photo of Walters as the background image. It comes after a woman was found dead on a bus with 26 iPhones glued to her body. Police went back to the address to look for him on January 13 last year, but he refused to come out. One officer went into the property through the front door and found Walters on the stairs. He barged the officer aside and fled. Walters, who only had a provisional licence, has 20 previous convictions for 32 offences to his name. This includes taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, drugs, common assault and robbery according to Nottinghamshire Live. Walters, 31, now of High Close, Kirkby, was arrested and later pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and escaping from lawful custody. Handing him a 12-month jail term, suspended for 18 months, Judge Julie Warburton said: 'You were driving your girlfriend's car and you knew you should not have been driving as you were disqualified and only have a provisional licence. 'When the police tried to stop you, you sped off at speed, ran a red light and went on the wrong side of the road. They went to your girlfriend's address and from an iPad which was left in the car you were identified.' Anthony Cheung, prosecuting, said police spotted the Audi on April 11, 2023. He said a check revealed it was registered to the defendant's partner but he was driving and so they indicated for it to pull over in Camberley Road, Snape Wood, by activating their blue lights. The prosecutor said: 'He drove off at speed and during the pursuit went on the wrong side of the road, ran a red light and went over the middle of a roundabout. The car then disappeared from view and so they went to her address and spoke to her. The bonnet was still hot and she said no-one had been driving it. 'But her iPad was inside the car and the defendant's face was on it.' Mr Cheung said in January 2024, the police again went to the same address looking for him and he was upstairs and looked out of a window and refused to come down. He said: 'The officer tried the door which was open and attempted to arrest the defendant who pulled away and was shouting at the officer. He pushed the officer off, managed to push past him and ran out of the property.' Dominic Shelley, mitigating, said his client was now working full time and has a family which is dependent on him. As part of the suspended sentence order, the judge handed the defendant 35 rehabilitation sessions and 100 hours unpaid work. She also disqualified him from driving for 12 months.
