Greenville woman sentenced to 25 years for sex trafficking minor

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A Greenville woman has been sentenced to spend 25 years in federal prison after an investigation revealed her role in trafficking a 15-year-old girl.
A press release from the United States Attorney District of South Carolina said True Heaven Heflin, 25, of Greenville, met the minor victim at a party over Christmas break in 2022. According to the release, Heflin took the victim to her residence and forced the teen 'to engage in sexual acts for money.'
Heflin reportedly held the victim for over a week before they were able to escape.
Heflin's 300 month prison sentence will be followed by lifetime, court-ordered supervision. Heflin was also ordered to pay the victim $5,000 in restitution.

The collision caused the person inside the lift bucket to be thrown out, into a car parked across the street, according to Begovic. Witnesses provided CPR until first responders arrived and transported the person to a hospital, Begovic said. Erie Street was closed off. The crash remains under investigation. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says that they were dispatched to a crash involving two vehicles where one person was thrown from a car. The sheriff's office says that the person who was thrown died from their injuries. Passengers in the other car were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries, deputies say.
