Report – Inzaghi Wants To Bring Inter Milan & Italy Star To Al-Hilal
Simone Inzaghi reportedly wants to bring Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi to Al-Hilal this summer transfer window.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They report that the Saudi club have not made Inter an official offer yet, however.

Coach Simone Inzaghi left Inter Milan to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal last month.
The 49-year-old decided to prioritize the cash on offer in Saudi Arabia rather than continuing to coach at a high level in Europe.
After Inzaghi made the switch to Riyadh, a big question has been whether he would target any of his former players at Inter.

According SportMediaset, there is one player in particular who Inzaghi would like to sign from Inter.
Veteran Italian international defender Francesco Acerbi has been a trusted lieutenant of Inzaghi for a long time.

Inzaghi had worked with Acerbi for several seasons at Lazio. Then, he pushed to bring the former AC Milan and Sassuolo defender to Inter in 2022.
Inzaghi then made Acerbi the central figure of Inter's back three.
The 37-year-old is therefore a player who Inzaghi would be keen to bring to Saudi Arabia. He wants the veteran defender as a reliable presence at the back.
Mediaset report that so far, Al-Hilal have not made any bids to Inter.
However, the broadcaster anticipate, there is every chance that an offer will arrive soon.

Chelsea Defeats Fluminense In FIFA 2025 Club World Cup Semi Final
EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY - JULY 08: Joao Pedro of Chelsea scores goal during the FIFA Club World ... More Cup 2025 semi-final match between Fluminense FC and Chelsea FC at MetLife Stadium on July 08, 2025 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Image) Chelsea has defeated Brazilian side Fluminense in the semi-finals of the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup by a score of 2-0 Chelsea Win In The Scorching Heat Kick-off at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey was at 3pm on Tuesday. The heat was scorching at almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit and the humidity was 50%. All of this in a stadium with absolutely no protection from the sun meant that conditions were tough for both players and spectators alike. You couldn't help but think that the side from Rio de Janeiro might be able to use the climate to its advantage, but Chelsea were able to neutralise 'Flu' for the most part. 'The Blues' were wary of the weather. At times Chelsea completely killed the ball after winning back possession instead of instantly attacking. This helped the London-based team get its breath back and slow down the game in the process. Fluminense didn't help itself with multiple unforced errors in its own half. The Brazilian side couldn't get into any sort of groove and failed to have sustained periods on the ball. The heat didn't seem to be a factor in the end and Chelsea were much the superior team. New Signing João Pedro On Fire For Blues New signing, and former Fluminense player, João Pedro scored two fantastic goals for Chelsea either side of half time. In the first period he took advantage of lackadaisical defending and way too much time and space. Then in the second he punished Fluminense again. This time the goal was on the counter-attack and the finish was from closer in, but it was just as deadly. (Photo by Marvin Ibo Guengoer -) The Brazilian's recent arrival has bolstered Chelsea's attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season. In the short term Pedro has made a big difference in this Club World Cup too though. His debut came last week in the quarter-final against Palmeiras and teammate Cole Palmer said that Pedro's debut 'changed the game,' when he came on in the second half, helping Chelsea win that one 2-1. The Blues now march on to the final of the Club World Cup this Sunday against the winners of PSG vs Real Madrid. Fluminense A Success For Reaching Final Four Fluminense can be proud of its performance in this Club World Cup, especially as the only non-European side to reach the final four of the tournament. 'Flu' fans will gloat about how they made it further than any other South American side in the tournament until the next competition rolls around in 2029. (Photo by Patrick Smith - FIFA/FIFA via Getty Images) Fluminense competed well against top opposition. A draw with Borussia Dortmund in the group stage and a massive win against Inter Milan in the round of 16 are days that its fans will remember for a long time. Young midfielder Hércules impressed with two crucial goals from the bench against Inter and Al Hilal, and Colombia international Jhon Arias had a fantastic tournament. Further cementing his reputation as one of the best and most consistent players on the continent of South America. Fluminense can return to Brazil with it's chest out. Just four points behind rivals and league leader Flamengo, there is still a lot to fight for domestically.

Euro 2025: Sweden eases past Poland and advances to quarterfinals along with Germany
LUCERNE, Switzerland (AP) — Sweden advanced to the quarterfinals at the Women's European Championship by beating Poland 3-0 on Tuesday, a result that also sent Germany through to the knockout rounds from their group. A hat trick of headed goals by three different players was fair reward for relentless attacking down Sweden's right flank that left the overmatched Poland defense exposed. Sweden had already struck the crossbar with two headers before center forward Stina Blackstenius opened the scoring in the 28th. Captain Kosovare Asllani padded the lead in the 52nd and substitute Lina Hurtig got a key third in the 77th. That goal sent Sweden top of the standings on goal difference ahead of Germany, ensuring it only needs a draw to win the group when the teams meet Saturday. Germany also got its second win earlier, beating Denmark 2-1 after trailing at halftime. The winner of Group C will likely avoid Euro 2025 favorite Spain's half of the knockout bracket. The group runner-up between Sweden and Germany would be on a path to meet Spain in the semifinals. Poland now has two losses and no goals scored on its major tournament debut, after losing 2-0 to Germany. Captain and star forward Ewa Pajor was kept isolated by the Sweden defense, which cut off most passes seeking her out. Sweden got another bonus when Fridolina Rolfö — a teammate of Pajor at Barcelona — came on as a late substitute for her first action after being a pre-tournament doubt because of an injury. ___ AP soccer:

The 40-year-old Chiellini, who spent nearly two decades playing for Italian club Juventus before joining LAFC in 2022, also spent time as a player development coach with the MLS team in 2024. 'Joining the LAFC ownership group is a great honor for me,' Chiellini said in a statement released by the team. 'When I arrived here three years ago as a player, I immediately felt that there was something special about this club. It is an ambitious organization, built by extraordinary people and supported by a community that truly makes you feel at home. That is why, last year, I expressed my desire to become an owner, and now I'm proud to continue this journey and give my support to a project I deeply believe in.' Chiellini, one of the best defenders in the world during his 23-year professional career, retired in 2023. He won nine consecutive Serie A championships with Juventus and the Euro 2020 title with the Italian national team.
