Karl Lagerfeld's ‘secret villa' could be yours for a cool €4.6m

Karl Lagerfeld spent years overseeing a meticulous renovation of his 19th-century 'secret villa' near Paris, ripping out its old-fashioned parquet flooring and many of its ceiling mouldings, redecorating it in a futuristic style.
He had a ground-floor room transformed into a replica of his boyhood bedroom in his parents' home near Hamburg, adding leopard-print wallpaper and an original Louis XVI bed. On the lawn beside the pool house was a fenced-off play area for Choupette, his beloved Burmese cat.
And yet the late fashion designer never lived in the Pavillon de Voisins and spent the night there only once, according to members of his entourage. Rather than sleeping in the mansion he would stay in an ultra-modern glass house beside the swimming pool in the property's five acres of grounds.
