The vivo V60 resembles the China-exclusive vivo S30, except that it features the ZEISS logo on its camera island, indicating that the V60's cameras were co-developed with ZEISS.
vivo S30
The source claimed that the vivo V60 is expected to come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, a quad-curved display, a 6,500 mAh battery, and 50MP cameras. A previous rumor said the V60 will boot OriginOS based on Android 16. The vivo S30 shares these hardware specs but runs Android 15 instead.

Am I missing something or is Samsung intentionally setting up the Galaxy S26 Ultra to fail?
Unless you've been living under a rock for the last six months or so, you probably already know that the Galaxy S25 Ultra is a bigger box-office hit than the "vanilla" S25 and the S25 Plus. Despite its... uncomfortable price point, the largest and most sophisticated member of Samsung's latest (non-foldable) ultra-high-end handset family has managed to continue a trend noticed in recent years, substantially outselling its smaller and cheaper brothers right off the bat and maintaining that global advantage to this day (presumably). But while you might expect the world's top smartphone vendor to do everything in its power to keep the sales balance of its most impressive products tipped in favor of the costliest model, I'm starting to feel like Samsung is focusing less on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and more on the sequels to the S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Edge . Because if it is, then we might be in for a world of mediocrity here. Mediocrity by Android flagship standards, of course, but mediocrity nonetheless. Allow me to very simply illustrate that point with a quick list of product names and numbers: OnePlus 13 - 100W; OnePlus 13R - 80W; OnePlus Nord CE4 - 100W; Motorola Edge 60 Pro - 90W; Pro - 90W; Motorola Edge 50 Pro - 125W; Motorola Edge (2025) - 68W; Motorola Razr Ultra (2025) - 68W; Nothing Phone (3) - 65W; Xiaomi 15 Ultra - 90W; Ultra - 90W; Xiaomi 15 - 90W; - 90W; Honor Magic V5 - 66W; Honor 400 Pro - 100W; Oppo Find X8 Ultra - 100W; Vivo X200 Ultra - 90W; Realme GT 7 - 120W; Galaxy S25 Ultra - 45W; - 45W; Galaxy S26 Ultra - 60W (rumored); - 60W (rumored); OnePlus 15 - 100W (rumored). Yes, I realize that 60 is a bigger number than 45, so technically, the S26 Ultra is all but guaranteed to charge faster than its predecessor, which could be enough to satisfy some hardcore Samsung fans unwilling to ever consider a brand like Motorola or OnePlus and not allowed to (officially) buy Xiaomi, Honor, Vivo, or Realme stuff in their country. The OnePlus 13 comes with blazing fast 100W charging capabilities... and is even available in the US. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena But even if it's only theoretical in markets like the US, competition matters, and Samsung can't just act like those aforementioned China-based companies don't exist. The thing about the above list is that it's not comprehensive (far from it, actually), and it doesn't only include super-expensive Android flagships either. The Motorola Edge (2025), for instance, is a pretty affordable mid-ranger (available stateside), while something like the OnePlus Nord CE4 packs a decidedly non-flagship Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, carrying a fittingly reasonable price point... in markets like India. So, yes, ironically calling Samsung's expected bump from 45W charging capabilities on the S25 Ultra to 60W speeds for the Galaxy S26 Ultra a quote-unquote "upgrade" might be a little mean on my part, but I sincerely hope that the tech giant doesn't plan to advertise this... change very aggressively or its "next big thing" will be rightfully and viciously mocked by rivals and consumers alike. That, my friends, is the million billion-dollar question I would love to have the answer for, but I don't. Let's hope Samsung does, although between the unchanged 5,000mAh battery capacity that's gaining steam in the rumor mill and a new chip that's unlikely to get a lot of hearts pumping with excitement, 2026 is starting to look like yet another year of refinement. The S Pen is highly unlikely to be a key Galaxy S26 Ultra selling point. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena Will the Galaxy S26 Pro look radically different from the 6.2-inch Galaxy S25? Will the Galaxy S26 Edge employ silicon-carbon battery technology to try to vastly improve its forerunner's mediocre running times between charges (at the risk of much quicker cell degradation)? I don't know for sure just yet, but I certainly look forward to finding out. Meanwhile, the S26 Ultra is eliciting almost no emotion in me. Feeling bored is arguably worse than feeling disappointed in the lead-up to a major smartphone's launch, although I can't really say which of those two feelings better describes my current relationship with the Galaxy S26 Ultra . Luckily for Samsung, there's still plenty of time to change that for myself and any of you that might be sharing my... apathy. There it is, the best way to describe Samsung's "next big thing" right now!

Samsung Electronics reports strong Q2, teases XR and TriFold devices for H2 this year
Peter, 31 July 2025 Samsung Electronics has published its financial report for the second quarter of this year. Besides reporting on the status of its mobile, display and semiconductor businesses, Samsung also revealed some of its plans for the second half of 2025. The Mobile eXperience (MX) and Networks businesses posted KRW 29.2 trillion in consolidated revenue with an operating profit of KRW 3.1 trillion. The MX division saw a decrease in smartphone shipments compared to Q1, but compared to Q2 last year, the results show both higher revenue and operating profit. This quarter-to-quarter slump is natural – it was between the launch of the Galaxy S25 series and the arrival of the Galaxy Z 7 foldables. That said, Samsung credits the year-on-year growth to continued strong sales of the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy A series and Galaxy tablets. The MX Business 'maintained solid double-digit profitability'. For the second half of the year, Samsung will continue its flagship-first approach with a focus on the new foldables, the S25 series as well as promoting the AI capabilities of its more affordable A-series. Speaking of AI, the company will be pushing more AI to its tablet and wearable product lines. Here's the interesting bit. In the second half of 2025, Samsung will expand its Galaxy ecosystem with the launch of new form factors – including XR devices and "TriFold devices." Yes, spelled exactly like that, essentially confirming the rumored Galaxy Z TriFold name. Samsung LSI is working on improving Exynos to 'ensure its adoption in 2026 flagship mobile lineups of a major customer'. We'll give you one guess as to which customer that is referring to. Related to that, Samsung's Foundry Business will be increasing production of mobile chipsets on its 2nm GAA node – that would be the Exynos 2600. We'll get back to the foundry business in a moment. Device Solutions (DS) is Samsung Electronics' second largest division after MX – it contributed KRW 27.9 trillion in revenue and KRW 0.4 trillion in operating profit of the KRW 74.6 trillion revenue and KRW 4.7 trillion operating profit for Samsung Electronics as a whole. The memory business sold more HBM3E for server applications and sold a higher proportion of high-density DDR5. It also reports that the delay in datacenter projects has now been cleared, which allowed it to increase SSD sales and clear out NAND inventory. However, the company took a one-time hit by having to adjust the value of its inventory. The DS division was also impacted by export restrictions related to China in the non-memory segment. The Foundry Business also had to adjust the value of its inventory after the US applied export restrictions on advanced AI chips to China. Meanwhile, Samsung Display brought in KRW 6.4 trillion in revenue and KRW 0.5 trillion in operating profit. Revenue increased due to strong sales of new smartphone displays to major customers, but also due to sales of IT and automotive displays. The company is reporting that sales of QD-OLED monitor panels are growing continuously with strong demand from the gaming market. Samsung plans to strengthen its QD-OLED panel product line and accelerate the growth. Source

iQOO 15 teaser campaign starts ahead of possible late September unveiling
Vlad, 31 July 2025 The rumors were true - iQOO's next flagship smartphone won't be called iQOO 14, but iQOO 15. Undoubtedly, tetraphobia is to blame. Today the brand has officially confirmed the name as it started the teaser campaign for the upcoming device on Weibo. If you're wondering why so early - the iQOO 13 was announced in October of last year, after all, and was only released in November - here's the plot twist. Rumor has it the iQOO 15 will be one of the first devices to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC on board. That chipset is getting official on September 23. Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo is now claiming that the iQOO 15, along with the Xiaomi 16 series, the Honor Magic8 series, and the Realme GT 8 Pro, will all scramble to launch in China before October 1. And iQOO starting to talk about the 15 today definitely seems to lend credence to this hypothesis. The brand hasn't revealed any specs yet, it just announced a competition taking place on August 1 in Shanghai, where winners will get an iQOO 15. According to past rumors, the iQOO 15 will have a 6.85-inch QHD+ Samsung-made flat LTPO OLED screen, a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and support for 100W wired charging. It may also get wireless charging. vivo iQOO 13 256GB 12GB RAM ₹ 54,998 ₹ 54,998 512GB 16GB RAM ₹ 59,998 Source 1 (in Chinese) | Source 2 (in Chinese)
