Michigan State football star WR Nick Marsh shares his commitment to East Lansing
Michigan State football has a star in River Rouge (MI) wide receiver Nick Marsh. The former blue-chip recruit had an amazing freshman season a year ago, and now, is gearing up for an encore in his sophomore campaign.
While Marsh is preparing to be the Spartans No. 1 wide receiver target, the sophomore campaign almost never came to fruition. There has been many reports circulating about the tampering that took place with Marsh in the offseason.
Ultimately, Marsh made the decision to come back to MSU, and has doubled down every chance he gets to share his love for Michigan State and the community.
During Big Ten media days on Thursday, Marsh had a very fun quote (courtesy of Spartans Illustrated) about his love for Michigan State and what he is building in East Lansing:
"All money is not good money. I'm building something at Michigan State - a foundation, a brotherhood, a family. I think that's more important than money. I think family and God is more important than materialistic things."

Notre Dame, Wake Forest to meet in the 2027 Duke's Mayo Classic in Charlotte
Notre Dame football is heading to the Queen City in what will be quite a zesty matchup. The Fighting Irish and Wake Forest agreed to play in the Duke's Mayo Classic at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. on Saturday, October 9, 2027. The game is part of ND's scheduling agreement with the ACC and will be played as a neutral-site matchup. The Irish are 6-0 against the Demon Deacons, winning the last meeting 47-7 in 2023 at Notre Dame Stadium. The two programs have never played a neutral-site game against one another. The game against Wake will mark the second time the Irish have played at Bank of America Stadium, the first being the 2020 ACC title game when they competed as a member of the conference. A big question surrounding this game will be if the Mayo shower will happen to the winning coach. We all hope that Marcus Freeman isn't allergic. BTN analyst likes Spartans addition of Carlos Medlock Jr., 'Izzo got a DAWG'
Izzo got a tell Izzo is out there personally recruiting, not relying on stars or rankings. One Big Ten Network analyst loves the addition of Carlos Medlock Jr. to the Spartans' 2026 class. Michigan State basketball picked up its first commitment in the 2026 recruiting cycle from Medlock last week, which garnered a lot of excitement from the fanbase. Medlock is a four-star prospect and ranked as one of the top point guards in the country on 247Sports. Fans being excited about a commitment is always expected, but what about the media and analyst closer to the game? Well, Rapheal Davis of the Big Ten Network is equally excited about this pickup for the Spartans. Davis responded to a fan asking about Medlock's commitment to Michigan State by stating "(Tom) Izzo got a DAWG." Additionally, Davis noted that the addition of Medlock is a feather in the cap to Izzo for not solely leaning on recruiting rankings and finding an under-the-radar prospect that has recently blown up on the recruiting scene. When Michigan State first offered Medlock, he was a three-star prospect with mostly mid-major offers. Check out the complete post from Davis below: Contact/Follow us @The SpartansWire on X (formerly Twitter) and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Michigan State news, notes and opinion.
