
Tata Motors signs MoU with Green Energy Mobility to supply e-buses to Tamil Nadu
The pact was signed in the presence of Tamil Nadu Minister for Industries T R B Rajaa at the Passenger Vehicle Expo 2.0 in Chennai, where Tata Motors is showcasing its latest commercial passenger mobility solutions, the company said.
'This MoU with UBS is a landmark moment in our journey to transform intercity transportation. The Magna EV(e-buses)…is designed to redefine long-distance travel in India. We are confident it will set new standards in comfort, efficiency, and sustainability," said Anand S, Vice President and head for commercial passenger vehicle business at Tata Motors.
Rajaa said this initiative directly benefits the people of the state by offering cleaner travel options and affirms the Tamil Nadu government's commitment to building a future-ready, sustainable transport ecosystem.
These e-buses with up to 300km range on a single charge are equipped with electronic braking system (EBS) and electronic stability control (ESC), Tata Motors said.

EIH Ltd profit falls to Rs 36.88 cr in Q1
Agency: PTI Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 5 (PTI) EIH Ltd, the flagship company of luxury hotel chain The Oberoi Group, on Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 36.88 crore for the June quarter. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 96.75 crore in the year-ago period. It's total income from operations stood at Rs 609.06 crore for the April-June quarter, as against Rs 559.91 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year, as per a regulatory filing. Lupin Q1 net profit jumps 52 pc to Rs 1,221 cr
Agency: PTI Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 5 (PTI) Drug maker Lupin on Tuesday posted a 52 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 1,221 crore in the June quarter, driven by strong sales in the US and India. The drug maker reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 805 crore in the April-June quarter of last fiscal. Sales rose to Rs 6,164 crore in the first quarter as against Rs 5,514 crore in the year-ago period, Lupin Ltd said in a statement. 'We continue to build strong business momentum, anchored by a robust product portfolio, improved efficiencies, and effective use of assets and investments," Lupin MD Nilesh Gupta said. 'As we begin the year, our sharpened focus on compliance, innovation, and technology positions us to further unlock sustainable growth," he added. India sales for Q1 FY26 stood at Rs 2,089 crore, up 8 per cent from Rs 1,938 crore. ReNew says it reduced 18.6 MnT of carbon emissions in FY25
Agency: New Delhi, Aug 5 (PTI) ReNew on Tuesday said it reduced 18.6 million tonnes (MnT) of carbon emissions in FY25 by setting up clean energy capacities. Through its water saving initiatives, the company also helped in saving over 540 million litres of water, 50 per cent more than last year, ReNew said in its Second Integrated Report. 'The company helped avoid over 18.6 million tonnes of carbon emissions in FY25 and is focused on meeting its SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) validated net-zero target, a first for an Indian pure-play renewable energy company," the report said. In FY25, ReNew achieved an 18.2 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from its FY22 baseline, exceeding the annual target of 12.6 per cent and maintained carbon neutrality for the fifth consecutive year.
