Mamelodi Sundowns star Shalulile set to join African powerhouse
Sources at iDiski Times confirm that Esperance are finalising terms with Sundowns to secure the signature of the 31-year-old Namibian international, who left the Brazilians' training camp this morning to prepare for his journey to Tunisia.
Shalulile's potential departure would represent a major shake-up for Sundowns, as they look to recalibrate their squad following a dominant domestic campaign.
If all goes according to plan, Shalulile will become the second Premier Soccer League star to join Esperance this season, after Elias Mokwana completed his move from Sekhukhune United earlier in the 2024/2025 campaign.
The duo's arrival highlights Esperance's aggressive strategy to recruit top talent from South Africa as they aim for continental glory.
Shalulile, who also captains Namibia's Brave Warriors, has notched up a remarkable 130 goals in 290 appearances across his time with Sundowns and Highlands Park. Cementing his legacy as one of the most lethal strikers in South African football.
His move to Tunisia not only ends a glittering chapter in the PSL. But also signals Esperance's intent to dominate both domestically and in CAF competitions.

Kaizer Chiefs legend wants Sundowns right-back at Naturena
Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Patrick Mabedi has urged Amakhosi to sign Khuliso Mudau from Mamelodi Sundowns. The lanky defender has not penned a new deal with Masandawana, which could open a door for other PSL clubs. Mudau is highly regarded as one of the best right-backs in Africa, having played in the CAF Champions League final and Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals. Mabedi feels Kaizer Chiefs would benefit if they could sign the Bafana Bafana star. The former Malawi international coached Mudau when he coached at Black Leopards seven years ago. 'He is a very good player. If Chiefs sign him they could have found a missing link in not only their defence but the whole team. You know when I coached him at Black Leopards we used to use him either as a right back, right winger or even a central midfielder. That's how good he is. So, this could be the biggest move for Chiefs in recent times. Personally, I would encourage them to go for him,' Mabedi told Soccer Laduma . The Amakhosi legend says Mudau is a player who could help Chiefs build from the back as he is good playing with the ball at his feet. Retired Protea Herschelle Gibbs has clapped back at criticism of his outspoken social media posts as well as controversial past, which includes allegations of doping, match-fing and that 2010 bombshell memoir. The 51-year-old has often taken jabs at the South African cricket team, particularly captain Temba Bavuma. On his X account, Herschelle Gibbs courted controversy when he seemingly poked fun at International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Jay Shah's praise for the debut of a new four-day series tournament. The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Series between England and India recently ended in a draw. 'You guys wanted test cricket to be 4 days', he posted alongside several laughing emojis. His post saw many irked cricket fans – particularly from India – bring up his controversial career, which included allegations of match-fixing and doping. 'Were you born?'
