Aamir Khan was quoted saying while replying to a fan's question about his cameo in Coolie. He said, 'I really enjoyed doing it. I am big fan of Rajini sir…huge fan. I have a lot of love and respect for Rajini sir. So, I did not even hear the script. When Lokesh told me that it is a Rajini sir's movie and that he wanted me to do a cameo, I said, 'Done. I am doing it. Whatever it is, I am doing it.'" That being said, he refrained from sharing further details about his role in the film.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan returned to films three years after Laal Singh Chaddha with Sitaare Zameen Par. The film also stars Geneloa Deshmukh and 10 rising stars. The film is doing very well at the box office.
As for Coolie, the upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and produced by Sun Pictures. The film stars Rajinikanth in the titular role, alongside Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Upendra. Coolie will be released in both worldwild and IMAX formats across the world in 2025.

Metro In Dino Box Office Day 1: Anurag Basu Film Opens At Rs 3 Cr, Beats Life In A Metro By 300%
Last Updated: As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Metro In Dino first-day collection marks a 300% improvement over Basu's 2007 sleeper hit Life In A Metro. Metro In Dino Box Office Collection Day 1: Anurag Basu's much-anticipated romantic drama Metro In Dino opened in theatres to a decent start, earning Rs 3.04 crore on Day 1 at the box office. As per early estimates by Sacnilk, the ensemble film's first-day collection marks a 300% improvement over Basu's 2007 sleeper hit Life In A Metro, which had opened at just Rs 80 lakh. While Rs 3 crore may appear modest compared to blockbuster debuts, it's a solid opening for a romantic drama in today's theatrical landscape. The genre rarely sees high first-day numbers in India. The performance is particularly encouraging given the film's scale and its strong ensemble cast featuring Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, and Ali Fazal. The film is a spiritual successor to Life In A Metro and explores modern relationships across different cities through four interconnected love stories. Anurag Basu's signature storytelling style, combined with Pritam's soul-stirring music, has already received widespread acclaim. Konkona is the only actor from the original cast to return in this film. Metro In Dino has been praised for its nuanced take on love and commitment. An excerpt from News18's review states, 'It's not every day that we get to see a Bollywood love story written with so much heart, maturity, intensity, intimacy and subtlety. Metro In Dino is a masterclass on modern-day love. It's for the lonely, for the ones who won in love and then lost some. It's as much Anurag's film as Pritam's. Zamaana Lage, Dil Ka Kya, and Mann Ye Mera stand out particularly. Rush to the cinemas now!" The film's Day 1 success suggests it could enjoy positive word of mouth, similar to Life In A Metro, which went on to earn over Rs 24 crore domestically despite its slow start. Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 15: Aamir Khan's emotional sequel slows but stays strong at ₹135 Cr
Aamir Khan's much-anticipated sequel 'Sitaare Zameen Par' has wrapped up its second week at the box office with a steady yet slowing performance. On Day 14 (Thursday), the film collected ₹ 2.5 crore across India, bringing its total net collection in the domestic market to ₹ 135.4 crore. The day 15 collection marks a 9.09% drop from the previous day, signalling the expected weekday slump following a decent second weekend. The week two total stands at ₹ 46.5 crore, which is a 47.69% drop from the opening week—indicating a clear slowdown in momentum as the film enters its third weekend. Despite the dip, the film's overall performance remains strong. The 15-day India gross stands at ₹ 161.90 crore, while the worldwide total has reached an impressive ₹ 214.50 crore. Of this, overseas earnings contribute ₹ 52.60 crore, a sign that Aamir Khan's global appeal remains intact. Occupancy figures reflect the gradual decline in footfall. On Day 15, Hindi (2D) occupancy averaged just over 10% throughout the day, with morning shows seeing 7.66% attendance, gradually rising to 11.97% by night. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 cult classic 'Taare Zameen Par'. The film stars Aamir Khan as a basketball coach assigned to train a group of neurodivergent children after being involved in a driving-related incident. Genelia D'Souza co-stars, and the film notably features ten neurodivergent debutant actors. On Wednesday, the cast and crew held a special screening in Mumbai for specially-abled students, attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Amruta Fadnavis. As the film enters its third week, it faces competition from 'Metro…In Dino', a multi-starrer directed by Anurag Basu. With big names like Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sara Ali Khan, the new release could impact Sitaare Zameen Par's box office run. Produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, the film continues to hold its ground with its emotional narrative and inclusive casting.
