Detroit Lions' Defensive Starter Undergoes Season-Ending Surgery
With stars like Aidan Hutchinson sidelined for the playoffs, fans can't help but wonder how much further the Lions could have gotten. Unfortunately, the 2025-26 season is set to kick off with a similar tune as last season in Detroit.
According to Lions head coach Dan Campbell, starting defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike had to have a 'significant' season-ending surgery involving an ACL tear. While he will be missed, Campbell admitted, 'It needed to be done.'
Onwuzurike suited up for 16 games last season, where he made 10 starts. He was a key part of a Lions defense that allowed the seventh-fewest points per game last year.
While Onwuzurike may be a big loss, the Lions did select defensive tackle Tyleik Williams in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and now he should see an even bigger role as a rookie than many anticipated.

Bills sign WR Kelly Akharaiyi after WR David White retires

Yankees' Aaron Judge diagnosed with flexor strain, will be placed on IL
The New York Yankees are losing their MVP to the injured list, according to manager Aaron Boone. Aaron Judge, New York's superstar slugger and leading candidate in the AL MVP race, will be placed on the injured list with a flexor strain in his right elbow, Boone told reporters on Saturday. There is no tear to the UCL. The expectation is that Judge will only need 10 days away from the team and when he is available will ease back into the lineup as a designated hitter while beginning to throw before eventually returning to the outfield. Judge was seen wincing and gripping his right hand after a throw during Tuesday night's win over the Toronto Blue Jays. The following day he did not play right field but served as designated hitter. Boone said the slugger was "OK." Since Tuesday, Judge was 1-for-10 at the plate; the lone hit was a home run in an 8-4 defeat to the Blue Jays on Wednesday. Saturday's game was the first he's missed all season. Judge is in an MVP race with Seattle Mariners star catcher Cal Raleigh. In 103 games, Judge leads the majors in batting average (.342), OPB (.449), slugging (.711) and OPS (1.160). Raleigh leads the majors in homers (39) and entered Saturday trailing Judge's 84 RBI by one.

Titans agree to terms with WR Ramel Keyton after Treylon Burks' injury
The Titans' wide receivers room took a hit to its depth Saturday when former first-round pick Treylon Burks fractured his collarbone. The team solved that by agreeing to terms with free agent Ramel Keyton, according to multiple reports. Keyton, 24, was among a handful of players who worked out for the Titans on Friday. He entered the NFL in 2024, signing with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent. Keyton spent time on Las Vegas' practice squad and active roster. Keyton saw action on 44 offensive snaps and 64 on special teams in eight games last season as a rookie. He caught one pass for 7 yards and made one tackle on special teams. The Raiders waived him April 25.
