
Corporation chief and deputy mayors presented ‘sare' to goddess Gangamma
The commissioner accompanied by Deputy Mayors Mudra Narayana, RC Munikrishna, senior officials and corporators came in a procession from the corporation office to the accompaniment of traditional music to the temple for presenting saree.
She along with senior officials presented saree to temple priests Murali Swamy and Ramakrishna and had darshan.
She said she prayed the goddess to shower her blessings for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Tirupati. Commissioner said the corporation, police and other departments are fully geared up for the Viswaroopa darshanam of goddess which will be last day of Jathara on Tuesday. Additional Commissioner Charan Tej Reddy, Deputy Commissioner Amariah, Superintendent Engineer Shyam Sunder, Revenue Officer Sethumadhav were also present.

Minister pats MCT officials, staff
Tirupati: A team of officials and workers were felicitated following the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) winning national Swachh Survekshan Award. A meeting was held on Tuesday in Kachapi Auditorium for the celebrations in which Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya, health officer Dr Yuva Anvesh Reddy and other officials were felicitated by district in-charge Minister Anagani Satya Prasad. CM felicitates sanitary workers
Tirupati: As a token of appreciation of sanitary workers whose efforts helped Municipal Corporation Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya (MCT) bag the national award in Swachh Survekshan competition, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu felicitated the sanitary workers on Saturday. During his visit to the Police Parade Ground for Praja Vedika programme, the Chief Minister in the presence of Commissioner Mourya felicitated the sanitary workers. The Chief Minister appreciated Municipal Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya, health department officials and workers for their hard work im keeping the pilgrim city clean and tidy and wanted the corporation to do its best in making the city cleanest in the country. The two workers who were much elated for getting felicitated by none other than the State Chief Minister said it enthused the entire 1,000 and above sanitary workers in the corporation to work with renewed vigour to see the corporation achieves many more awards.

Plantation drive taken up during ‘Beat the heat' prog
Tirupati: Tirupati Municipal Corporation has conducted a series of programmes on the theme 'Beat the heat' in Tirupati on Saturday as part of Swarnandhra – Swachh Andhra programme. On this occasion, plantation, distribution of ORS packets, water kisoks and arrangements to provide water to birds and animals were taken up in several localities in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Corporation Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya said following government's directions, the municipal corporation conducted various programmes on the theme of 'Beat the heat', keeping in view the summer season and create awareness among people on the precautions to be taken to get relief from the severe heat conditions. She said the corporation also took steps to create awareness to promote roof top gardens and plantation of trees in a big way for environmental protection and also to minimise heat during summer. She said people's participation is a must to make Swarnandhra – Swachh Andhra a success, which is observed on third Saturday of every month. She also wanted general public and employees not to neglect precautionary measures to be followed in summer season to avoid sunstroke. AP Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Director Vooka Vijay Kumar, corporators Anna Anitha, Revathi, SVU Registrar Bhupati Naidu, Additional Commissioner Charan Tej Reddy, Deputy Commissioner Amaraiah, Health Officer Dr Yuva Anvesh Reddy, ME Thulasi Kumar and others were participated. Meanwhile, various government organisations also observed the programme. Police personnel placed water filled mud pots and food to birds and animals at police station in Tirupati and also across the district. At SPDCL office, as part of Swarnandhra – Swachh Andhra programme, officials took up cleanliness drive, and cleared unwanted plants and disposed waste.
