Suki Waterhouse was hospitalised from wearing pants that were 'too tight'

Metro15-07-2025
Suki Waterhouse has revealed she suffered a hernia because her pants were 'so tight'.
The 33-year-old singer and actress took to social media with the health news after fans requested she post more messages on X.
In response the My Fun hitmaker revealed she was hospitalised six months ago following a clothing faux pas she had been 'too scared' to tell her 165,000 followers.
Suki wrote on X: ''suki you never tweet anymore' have you ever considered I wore pants so tight 6 months ago it caused a hernia and I've been too scared to tell you (sic).'
The Daisy Jones and the Six star followed her post up with a picture of her in a hospital bed, showing her wearing a gown with a vape balanced on her chest.
While some thought the vape was an odd choice of accessory for a hospital, others struck up conversation with the star.
Fan @shortnskeetz commented: 'hey I gave my dad a hernia once x (sic).'
Suki responded: 'well done!!'
And the shocked supporter clarified: 'oh um hi xx i didnt give it to him intentionally btw I was like 7.'
Suki's medical update comes just over a year after she gave birth to her first child with her fiance Robert Pattinson.
As per the NHS, a hernia occurs when an internal part of the body pushes through a weakness in the muscle or surrounding tissue wall.
A hernia usually develops between your chest and hips. In many cases, it causes no or very few symptoms, although you may notice a swelling or lump in your tummy (abdomen) or groin.
The lump can often be pushed back in or disappears when you lie down. Coughing or straining may make the lump appear.
Once a diagnosis has been confirmed, a GP or hospital doctor will determine whether surgery to repair the hernia is necessary.
A month later, the star confirmed she had given birth, sharing a polaroid in which she cradled the baby, positioned so her hand covered the child's face.
She wrote: 'welcome to the world angel [heart emoji] (sic)'
Suki later confirmed she had welcomed a baby girl, and said she felt 'very lucky' to have an 'amazing little lady' in her life.
Speaking live on stage during her Coachella set last year, she said: 'I don't know if some of you know, but I had some big life changes happen recently, some pretty big events have been going down.
'I love amazing ladies and I've been very lucky to have my own little amazing lady and meet the love of my life.'
The couple, who were first linked in 2018, are yet to reveal their little one's name.
In a British Vogue cover star interview last year, Suki revealed she and Robert met at a Hollywood games night also attended by the likes of Al Pacino, in which they played Traitors-esque party game Werewolf. More Trending
'I think we both sort of have the same slight uncomfortable-ness,' revealed Suki, explaining how they bonded over giggling during the game, so they got told off and had to be separated.
After half a year they bumped into each other again and she remembered thinking Robert was 'quite funny' and that she 'lights up' around him.
Suki said her song Memoir from her album Memoir of a Sparklemuffin – out on 13 September – is about getting what she always wanted in her family and finding the one.
'This love and having a family and having a little world,' she said. 'Whatever happens, this is my dream.'

Artist misled NHS about disability when seeking £3m payout

An artist who sought £3 million compensation from the NHS could face jail after admitting misleading it by claiming she was left severely disabled by a hospital. Kae Burnell-Chambers claimed she needed a stick to walk even a few paces but surveillance video and social media posts showed her strolling unaided, dancing and taking part in body painting competitions, the High Court was told. Burnell-Chambers, 44, claimed mistakes by the NHS in 2016 meant she required significant levels of care and equipment including a mobility scooter and wheelchair, Motability vehicle, and single-level accommodation. However, investigations showed Burnell-Chambers had taken part in five bodypainting competitions in 2018. At the Coventry Comic Con in September 2018 she was recorded painting her model and being interviewed on camera about her work. The following year she took part in seven conventions, including the World Bodypainting Festival in Austria. At the Kustom Kulture Blast Off in Lincolnshire, she was shown having her body extensively painted and then parading in a show and dancing. Sadie Crapper, representing the Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, told the court on Friday that Burnell-Chambers had 'fraudulently exaggerated her symptoms for the purposes of her clinical negligence claim'. Her performances at the bodypainting competitions were said to be 'in stark contrast' to her filmed meetings with medical experts during which she struggled to walk a few paces. An undercover investigator filmed Burnell-Chambers walking unaided on the same day in 2021 that she told a consultant neurosurgeon she was severely disabled. Burnell-Chambers, who has a master's degree in fine art from the University of Lincoln, admitted contempt of court over her witness statement and her presentation to experts in her claim for clinical negligence. She admitted her mobility was near normal 'on good days' and claimed that when she had seen some experts she had deliberately attempted to demonstrate what she perceived her function was 'at its worst', the court was told. Burnell-Chambers, from Grimsby, has a history of lower back pain and had decompression surgery in 2014. Two years later she visited the accident and emergency department of the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, complaining of numbness in her right leg and back pain. After an MRI scan she had decompression surgery on her lower spine at the Hull Royal Infirmary. Burnell-Chambers later complained of weakness and pain in her legs and disability which she blamed on negligent delay in diagnosis and treatment. She made a legal claim for compensation in 2019. The NHS trust has applied for Burnell-Chambers to be committed to jail when she appears at court in October. A spokesman for NHS Resolution, which handles compensation claims, said: 'We remain committed to ensuring fair compensation for patients who have suffered harm due to NHS care. However, this case serves as a clear reminder of the serious consequences faced by those who pursue dishonest or exaggerated claims against the NHS.'

Bonnie Blue dark secrets behind sex fame uncovered in new Channel 4 documentary

Bonnie has split from her husband and her closest friends seem to be Josh, who posts her videos, and a stylist. The dark secret behind Bonnie Blue's sex fame is reportedly uncovered in the new channel 4 documentary about her life. ‌ The pornstar hit headlines and stormed social media after her biggest event was in January, when she had sex with 1,057 men in 12 hours, the inspiration for the title of a new Channel 4 documentary, 1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story. ‌ At a screening of the documentary, Bonnie insisted she was 'very happy' with her life. But her notoriety, and her boasts of sex with married men, who, she says, should not feel guilty about cheating on their wives, come at a price. ‌ In the film, Bonnie, a 26-year-old former NHS recruitment worker from Derbyshire, whose real name is Tia Billinger, says: 'The last time I went out by myself was probably about six months ago. Now it is not that safe. I get hundreds of death threats a day, so it is not that safe when I walk around. 'I say, 'It is going to happen at some point, someone will come and give me stick ' and fair play to her, at least they are getting up off their sofa. My worst one is acid, if someone did acid, and I could see some spiteful girl doing that.' Bonnie has split from her husband and her closest friends seem to be Josh, who posts her videos, and a stylist. She says: 'My sort of circles got smaller, but my team are also my best friends.' ‌ Director Victoria Silver followed Bonnie for six months, gathering footage of her having sex, and was at her January marathon for a couple of hours, reports the Mirror. At the documentary screening, Bonnie expressed surprise at the amount of explicit footage used. Asked if she was expecting complaints, Victoria said: 'If I was making a film about a musician or some kind of other performer their work would be in there. I think it is important to see what she does.' Bonnie is clearly proud of her work. Of her sex marathon, she says: 'I love the fact that I was able to experience that day with over 1,000 subscribers, fans, people that spent time out of the day to come meet me. ‌ 'But, yeah, I also need money to be able to take time out of my days to be able to do that, to hold these events. These events aren't cheap by the time you pay for staff, security, the venue.' But she says she has earned more than £1million in some months, and the documentary shows the increasingly extreme lengths she will go to for clicks and views. One scene shows Bonnie at home with mum Sarah, who speaks with pride about how her daughter was a great dancer as a child. ‌ She also seems proud of her career as a porn star. She says: 'Would it be something that I chose for her to do, no. I was really, really shocked, but now would I want her to do anything else? No, not at all. It's her choice.' Sarah and other relatives have given up their jobs to be on Bonnie's payroll. Sarah says: 'People I know always liked us both, but think it's OK to make nasty comments. 'Most of the time I just laugh. I'm like, 'If you could earn a million pounds in a month, your morals would soon change, and you'd get your bits out'. I don't care what people say.' ‌ Bonnie says: 'My family started to put up with hate, I get that, but I also get the life I live and the money. So it's like I also want them to receive some of the rewards.' Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. The documentary ends as Bonnie is about to head to Romania to meet influencer Andrew Tate, who is facing rape and human trafficking charges, which he denies, and is a self proclaimed misogynist. Bonnie says: 'He's probably just as controversial as I am. Whether people love him or hate him, he's a marketing genius.' ‌ Director Victoria asks her: 'You talk about female empowerment, but how do you square that with aligning yourself with the most misogynistic male on the internet?' Bonnie says: 'Piers Morgan interviews serial killers all the time. It's not messed up his brand. He [Tate] has been labelled multiple things by the media, and so have I. We're probably the two most misunderstood people out there at the moment.' Channel 4 defended the documentary, telling the Mirror: 'The explicit content is editorially justified and provides essential context.' * 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story, Channel 4, Tuesday, 10pm.
