Shedeur Sanders' Madden 26 rookie rating revealed
EA Sports released its Madden 26 ratings on Wednesday, and while Travis Hunter was the top-rated rookie, where did his former Colorado football teammate and Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders land?
Sanders experienced an unprecedented draft slide and was not selected by the Browns until the fifth round, but he still ranks as Madden 26's No. 4 rookie quarterback. Sanders holds an overall rating of 67, which is higher than his Browns teammate Dillon Gabriel (66 OVR).
The former Colorado star also owns a 78 speed rating, 65 strength, 81 agility, 79 change of direction, 94 injury and 58 awareness.
It is mildly surprising to see Tyler Shough ranked ahead of Sanders, but with Shough's speed rating sitting at 84, the difference likely comes from that.
Sanders will have a chance to improve his rating throughout the season, and so far during training camp, he has looked the part.

Kenny Minchey after today's practice: "I'm capable. I believe I'm the best quarterback in the country."Minchey showed off the wheels a bit today with Gino Guidugli as the read defender. You love to see when your quarterback has extreme confidence, and Notre Dame's Kenny Minchey did exactly that on Friday following the second fall practice. When speaking with the media, the second-year player proclaimed that he believes that he's 'the best quarterback in the country,' as On3's Jack Soble posted on social media. It's a strong claim, but one that ultimately could come true. Minchey will have to beat out CJ Carr first, but having that kind of confidence will go a long way. Everything that we have seen from his during his limited playing time and in practices seem to suggest that he's got the skill set to lead the Notre Dame offense. He's got the running ability to make defenses account for his legs, and the throwing ability to pop the top off of a defense. It will be a very interesting battle between the two, as the competition continues this fall leading up to the season opener on the road against Miami. Head coach Marcus Freeman will have a very difficult decision to make, but Minchey is very confident in his abilities.
