USA Today6 hours ago

The dust has settled — a bit — on this season of Love Island now that the main villa and Casa Amor have merged once again. Friday night saw a big shake up as Casa Amor ended and all 24 cast members made it to the villa in Fiji. An elaborate re-coupling saw some couples get back together after the short Casa Amor break, but also saw the emergence of some new ones.
Taylor shook things up by choosing Clarke over his partner from the start, Olandria, but she was saved by her fellow cast members to remain in the villa as a single. Elan was also saved by the group, sending home Coco, Vanna, J.D. and Zac. Amaya (Zak), Taylor (Clarke), Pepe (Gracyn), Austin (Jaden), Huda (Chris) and Andreina (Bryan) all found partnerships with someone that joined during the Casa Amor break.
Here is how the couples stand as we head into what is sure to be a big night in the villa:
A new episode of Love Island airs on Peacock at 9 p.m. ET every night except Wednesday.

43 Super Effective And Affordable Products

A TikTok-famous "Soft" perfume rollerball that'll have you smelling like a walking, talking, sugar-filled bakery — all for only $6. It has a hint of sweet citrus, and plenty of reviewers compare it to the smell of warm sugar cookies. Plus, it even reminds reviewers of the popular (and VERY expensive) "Pink Sugar" perfume. 👀 A Baccarat Rouge 540-inspired moisturizing body wash with white jasmine, red currant, and sweet amber so you can smell as ✨expensive✨ as you feel. A Catrice "Instant Awake" Under Eye Brightener so you can trick everyone around you into thinking you got the full recommended nine hours of sleep when you were actually too busy marathoning the latest season of Love Island. This baddie gives you instant coverage but is incredibly lightweight, and it's made with hyaluronic acid and shea butter to moisturize your skin. A fabric defuzzer you can simply glide over areas with pilling, aka those unwanted fuzzies that pile up on your furniture and clothes. Now, you can smooth out your couch without manually pulling each and every piece of fuzz. A pair of waterproof wireless earbuds so you don't have to worry about shelling out the big bucks for a pair you can confidently use at the gym. These come with a carrying case that, get this, displays the charge on the front, so you no longer have that moment where you go out only to realize that your earbuds have run out of juice. 🪫 And a pair of wireless over-the-ear headphones because you've always wanted a pair with premium cushion padding, a built-in mic for taking calls, 10 hours of playtime per charge, and surprisingly decent noise blocking for only $20. These babies may look like the iconic AirPods Max, but they don't have that $$$ price tag attached. A set of affordable lavender shower steamers so you can get a spa treatment from the comfort of your own sauna (shower) and de-stress in ~style~. A set of adorable pastel "unbreakable" deep plates because prettiness should never be sacrificed in the name of practicality. They're chic, they're lightweight, but still dishwasher- and microwave-safe — time to order a pack of these ASAP. A bottle of sulfate-free biotin shampoo — a magic potion that'll help reduce breakage and give your scalp a fuller look. Not only does it nourish your hair, but it smells like rosemary and coconut! E.l.f's brand new Lash XTNDR Tubing Mascara for those of you who would love a way to get the falsies look for $7! This mascara is incredibly affordable, incredibly volumizing, and lasts the entire day — plus, it comes off so easily, no smudging or makeup remover required! A pomade hair wax stick that Will. Not. Budge. Just swipe it over any targeted areas you want to smooth, and this will sleek back those baby hairs without any crunch or flakes ruining your updo. Kiss PowerFlex Maximum Speed Nail Glue because you're so tired of your fave press-ons snapping off after just the smallest action. Reviewers basically swear by this glue, as they say it lasts over a week and is super easy to remove, so you can still reuse those nails again and again. AND it's cheap!?! *Adds to cart* Essence's "What the Fake!" Plumping Lip Filler that'll puff up your pout and give you some seriously luscious lips. These babies use vitamin E and hyaluronic acid to add some extra fullness to your lips, while also moisturizing them so they are smooth and supple. Angelina Jolie, who? A bottle of Elizavecca Hair Treatment for anyone who wants a frizz-free, silky look without paying exorbitant salon prices. Just apply it to wet hair, leave it in for five minutes, and say goodbye to the damaged look your hair has been sporting after years of abuse at the hands of bleach and flat irons. Many reviewers even say this is comparable (or even better) than the pricey Olaplex No.3. A set of quick-drying Swedish reusable dish towels so A) you're not wasting a whole roll of paper towels every time you need to clean up a kitchen mess, and B) to save up money while also making it super easy to wipe up that spaghetti splatter. A hands-free (rotating!) phone mount perfect for propping up your device during any long plane rides. The strong clamp can attach itself to just about anything — your seat tray, suitcase handle, etc.. And the dual joints and 360-degree rotation allow for the best viewing angles, so you can comfortably watch Friends as the clouds pass you by. Reviewers have used it on everything from their car dashboards to carry-on handles to office desks to bedside tables. An interactive Petcube pet camera with a wide angle and night vision, for peace of mind since you'll have the ability to check in on your furry baby 24/7 — for like a fraction of the price of the famous Furbo. A temperature-detecting coffee thermos perfect for anyone who's ever taken a sip of their coffee, only to be rewarded with a scalded tongue. This thermos keeps your coffee warm or cold for 24 hours, *and* has a digital display that'll let you know the exact temp! Plus, you can even use it as a water bottle since it's 100% leakproof. A three-pack of vintage-inspired sunglasses to make you look like you dropped $$ on RayBans, but sans the crippling worry of accidentally dropping 'em. No need to fear losing these bad boys while lounging poolside at that fab resort you booked — these glasses are not only super cute but extremely affordable, so you can keep a backup pair (or two) for the days you misplace these at the tiki bar. A Dash mini maker — the days of cooking huge portions and using up a mountain of dishes are long behind you; now, you can simply pour the ingredients into the griddle and watch it create just the right amount of food you need. SweatBlock antiperspirant wipes for those of you who sweat the absolute second you leave your home — no matter what the weather may be. Now you can finally wear a light-colored top without fear that a huge sweat stain will take away from the aesthetics of your perfect 'fit. A set of cult-favorite extra soft cooling bedsheets to make you feel like you're snuggling under a pile of soft, luxurious marshmallows. Plus, these have a cooling effect so that those of you who live in hot climates or experience night sweats or hot flashes (and seriously, where were these when I was pregnant?!) are able to slumber on in peace. And if you don't believe me, then maybe you'll believe mind-boggling 245,000 5-star reviews. *sips tea* And a pair of game-changing cooling pillowcases so you don't overheat in the middle of the night and wake up covered in buckets of sweat. You'll feel like you're living in a 5-star hotel. A Windex outdoor glass cleaner for anyone who's ever thought, "How the heck do I clean that high-up window???" Climbing a huge ladder and precariously dangling on the edge to clean windows sounds... shall we say... not fun? But this'll change the game. Just attach this Windex bottle to your hose and spray the solution all over! ✨Sparkling windows✨ everywhere. Monday Haircare Dry Shampoo because sometimes that alarm just does not go off (or ya hit snooze like 50 times... same thing), and you really don't have time for an actual shower, but you still need to revive those greasy locks. This will bring some volume to your hair without leaving behind any residue or powder (like some other dry shampoos might). Plus, it has a gorgeous gardenia scent that is sure to turn some heads as you walk through your office halls. A set of breathable, seamless thongs if you're the type of person who "never wears" thongs or "hates" thongs. These are incredibly comfortable to wear all day, and they've even been compared to $$$ brands like Skims and Victoria's Secret. Finally, a thong you won't feel the need to dig out or readjust every five seconds or so. A hidden fly trap that can zap all the creepy crawlies lurking in your home without ruining your perfectly curated home aesthetics. You can plug this into an outlet, and the tiny light will lure in those pesky pests by the dozen. Medicube's "Zero Pore" Pads to make your skin feel as smooth as that silk scarf you keep eyeing at that once fancy department store. This is a beloved Korean skincare secret that people all across the world swear by, thanks to the magical mix of lactic and salicylic acid that'll help both exfoliate and refine your pores. A pack of Snug Plugs because you're tired of your charger falling out of place every five minutes. This is a cheap and easy fix — no electrician required! A bottle of professional-grade callus-removing gel that will smooth out your feet and give them the baby-soft feel that you deserve. Soak your feet for 2–3 minutes in hot water, dry them, and apply a generous layer of the gel to the rough areas. Then let it sit for three minutes, wipe it off, use a foot file of your choice, and voila — dead skin vanishes! Who needs a pedicure when you've got this gel at home? A retinol body lotion to firm up your skin and help diminish the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, sagging skin, crepey skin, and even sun damage — thanks to the fact that it's loaded up with some powerful ingredients like vitamins A and E, ferulic acid, shea butter, and green tea. Some reviewers even claim they were able to see results in as fast as two or three days! A mattress lifter that will bring joy and happiness to your Type A heart, as this will pretty much make sure your desk is crisp enough to bounce a quarter on. This will easily elevate the heaviest mattresses, and make your morning routine a wholeeee lot easier. And a set of bedsheet holders to keep your fitted sheet perfectly assembled, instead of snapping off at the slightest movement you make. They clip onto the corners of the sheets and use elastic to hold them in place, so you no longer have to get up halfway through the night just to fix your bedding once again. A portable air compressor you can whip out anytime that dreaded little "low tire pressure" message pops up on your dashboard — without needing to ever stop at a local gas station. It has a real-time pressure monitor to inflate flat car and bike tires on the go *and* a built-in LED light so you can use it at night. Plus, it boasts an impressive one-minute inflation, so you won't be stuck waiting on the side of the road for hours upon hours. A crack weeder tool, with an L-shaped design so you can quickly and easily remove the entire root within the cracks of your patio, without struggling to yank on the plant or literally digging around for it. It even has a soft grip handle, because giving your patio a facelift shouldn't be so hard! A mason jar cold brew maker that will save you some money in the long haul when you start cutting down on those early morning Dunkin runs. Say goodbye to the days of being late to work while stuck in a ridiculously long drive-thru line; your perfect cup can be made right at home — no heavy machinery or electricity required. A jar of The Pink Stuff you'll want to keep on hand when those kiddos start scribbling all over your walls right before guests are due to arrive for a dinner party. Don't put your all into scrubbing those doors, because all you need to do is lather this stuff on any stains and simply wipe it away. This works on basically everything — bathtubs, faucets, stovetops, tennis shoes, walls covered in crayon, and more. Gold Bond's firming neck and chest cream with glycerin and aloe to give that delicate skin some much-needed hydration, and salicylic acid to gently exfoliate dead skin cells. This will nourish your dry skin and help improve your décolletage's elasticity. A versatile veggie chopper that can ease the cooking process and stop the flood of tears when slicing onions. The endless minutes spent tediously slicing and chopping each ingredient are gone. Just place your veggie, swiftly press down the lid, and voila! Instantly chopped pieces are ready to be cooked. A Shark Tank-favorite Click & Carry Grocery Bag Carrier because going back and forth between your car and your kitchen to carry in all the grocery bags is like... the worst part of shopping. This will give you the Hulk-level strength necessary to do all your unloading in one trip, since this baby can help you lift up to 80-freaking-pounds!! You're about to be the superhero of Walmart. A silicone clip-on strainer that can attach itself to just about any pot or pan and save you from having to clean up messy grease spills every other day. This device also works *wonders* for draining pasta. Believe me, your countertops will thank you. A seat gap filler you can slip into those gaps between your seats, so that you'll never again have to injure your arm trying to dig between stubborn cushions for that phone that mysteriously managed to slip into the void. A cloning paste that'll help kick-start the growth in your favorite house plant after a period of stagnation, thanks to the unique blend of lanolin, vitamins, and nutrients. Plant parents everywhere will adore this.

Love Island USA tells viewers to stop harassing contestants: 'Remember they're real people'

Where's the love? Love Island USA — currently in its seventh season and the most-watched streaming reality show in the U.S. — has issued a rare and serious warning to its many fans that harassing its contestants will not be tolerated. This comes as viewers have increasingly criticized the show's cast members online. The attacks amped up after a recent round of eliminations and the introduction of some new cast members. The show's host, Ariana Madix, even warned viewers during one recent aftershow: "Don't be contacting people's families. Don't be doxing people. Don't be going on islanders' pages and saying rude things." During Tuesday's episode, Peacock broadcast a message that read: "The keyword in Love Island is… Love. We love our fans. We love our Islanders. We don't love cyberbullying, harassment or hate." Around the same time, the show made a similar reminder in a post on X and Instagram. "We appreciate the fans, the passion for the series, and the amazing group of Islanders who are sharing their summer with us," they wrote. "Please just remember they're real people — so let's be kind and spread the love!" CBC News has reached out for comment to NBC, which runs the Peacock streaming platform, but hasn't heard back. On Love Island USA, a group of single men and women move into a remote villa with the goal of finding love. The contestants couple up based on first impressions. Those relationships are tested. Do they have lasting chemistry? They also have the option of exploring connections with other people, including a stream of new singles who arrive throughout. At different points, viewers are invited to vote for their favourite couples. Contestants are eliminated throughout the show, and in the end, the public votes for the winning couple, who get a cash prize if they both choose to stay together. The show's seventh season debuted June 3 and average viewership has quadrupled since, according to a NBC Universal press release. But the show's popularity also extends beyond the screen — NBC says Love Island USA generated some 54 million social media interactions across platforms between June 2 and June 19 alone. And a lot of it is negative. Noah Sheline, who has a daughter with contestant Huda Mustafa, has spoken out on social media about the backlash against his ex, for instance. Last week, Sheline posted on TikTok pleading with people to be nice, for both Mustafa's sake and for their daughter's, according to People. "Her going on that show to find love, or whatever you think it was she's doing, remember she's still human, she has a daughter, and a life," he wrote. "It's crazy I have to involve myself in this but I don't want my daughter's mom to get out and see this and her mental health goes down a hill." (The cast doesn't have access to social media while they're filming the show.) WATCH | What it's really like on reality TV: One of the Love Island franchise staples is a twist called Casa Amor, where the couples are split into separate villas to spend time with new (sexy) singles. And this year, one of those singles is Elan Bibas, who grew up in Richmond Hill, Ont., and attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ont. Bibas, who is Jewish and has posted online about visiting Israel, has reportedly been called a "threat" by viewers online because of his background. Some posts on social media have accused him of being an IDF soldier (there is no evidence he has ever been one), or have expressed worry that a Palestinian castmate is in danger. People online got especially fired up when Bibas and Mustafa, who is of Palestinian descent, kissed on the show earlier this week. People have posted that they're disgusted and want to vomit, and have left comments on Bibas's Instagram posts accusing him of murder, calling him a serial killer, and saying they refuse to watch the show until he's gone. The backlash was so bad that the Anti-Defamation League chimed in Wednesday about the idea of him being a threat. "It's blatantly antisemitic to label a Jewish man who has visited Israel as 'dangerous,'" the New York-based NGO posted on TikTok. "Attacks on Elan and efforts to villainize him are hateful and baseless." Love Island certainly isn't the only franchise with an online harassment problem. Stars of The Bachelor have previously spoken out about the hate they get online. In 2020, during a "Women Tell All" special, bachelorette Rachel Lindsay led a segment on online harassment. Lindsay was the show's first Black bachelorette. "I feel like you guys hear us talk about the hate that we receive, but you have no idea what it is," Lindsay said. "The only way I can actually make you feel it is for you to see it, so I want to start out by reading some of these messages that these women have received." She then read a series of messages encouraging the women on the show to kill themselves, calling them names, and threatening to harm them. And last year, fans of the Netflix stalking drama Baby Reindeer were so determined to identify the show's characters that the show's creator made a public plea for people to stop the sleuthing. But it didn't work, and after armchair detectives identified the so-called stalker as Fiona Harvey, she sued Netflix. She said she was tormented online.
