But in reality, this Aussie hunk, 41, is far more humble than his Marvel alter-ego and is more often found hanging out with his family and keeping active than battling baddies from across the galaxy.
Thor actor Chris Hemsworth was only too happy to pose with a staff member inside Twist, an interactive museum filled with brain-busting illusions.
A source said: "Chris was in London for the premiere of Limitless and made it into a real family occasion.
"When he wasn't busy they did some sight-seeing and headed to Twist on Oxford Street for some fun.
"He didn't tell anyone he was going and they just kept themselves to themselves. The workers were gobsmacked to spot him wandering around."
Father-of-three Chris' new series of Limitless will soon be available on Disney+.
It sees the movie star explore how we all can live better three years after his first docuseries looked at how to live longer.
The "life-changing" three-part series was filmed in six countries over the past two years and saw Chris tackle some momentous challenges including playing the drums for Ed Sheeran in front of 70,000 fans and scaling a 600-foot climbing wall in the Swiss Alps.
He said of the show: "Making this series has been a life-changing journey. I've discovered so much about my own health, resilience and what it really means to live well.
"I hope this next chapter inspires audiences to step outside their comfort zones and embrace challenges, because the impact it's had on my life has been truly profound.'

Chris met his actress wife Elsa through mutual friends in early 2010 and they soon started dating.
The pair got married during the Christmas holidays in 2010. They have three children together - daughter India Rose, 13, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 11.
Spanish beauty Elsa, 49, is a star in her own right. She rose to prominence when she was cast as one of the lead characters in the Spanish drama Al salir de clase.
The series first premiered in 1997 and ran for five seasons until it concluded in 2002.
Since then, Elsa has built a global fanbase with her role as Officer Elena Neves in the Fast & Furious franchise, and in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, alongside her hubby.

Jelena Dokic shares inspiring message with fans as she stuns in red dress while on holiday in Croatia

Jelena Dokic had all eyes on her on Monday in a bright red dress. The Aussie sports commentator and former tennis player took to Instagram to share a candid photo of herself along with a moving caption. In the picture, Jelena donned a ruby red dress with strappy sleeves and a midi-length skirt as she wore a giant smile in front of an ocean backdrop. The 42-year-old looked positively glowing as she swept her hair back into a bun while closing her eyes to shield them from the sun. Jelena, who is currently in Croatia, encouraged her followers to be 'authentically' themselves in the caption of the post. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The Aussie sports commentator and former tennis player took to Instagram to share a candid photo of herself along with a moving caption 'Me, free and unapologetically myself,' she began. 'Be you. Be unapologetically you. You've got one life to live so live it free and be your unapologetic self,' she went on. Jelena told her fans to stop worrying about what people think about their body, hair, clothes and what they have, and instead embrace who they are wholly. 'You can't let the judgment of others stop you from being yourself. Their judgment says everything about them. 'But if you allow their judgment to affect you, change you or stop you from being you then you are not yourself anymore.' She added: 'You are then just some version of someone everyone else wants you to be. And you will never satisfy everyone anyway.' The inspiring post comes after Jelena went public with her new boyfriend earlier this month. The tennis champ has found love again after she was left 'shattered' in the aftermath of her split from her long-time boyfriend, Tin Bikic, in 2021. She revealed last year she was 'closed off' after the heartbreaking experience, which was another blow to her heart after the years-long abuse she suffered at the hands of her father, Damir Dokic. But things are looking up for Jelena after Yane Veselinov captured her heart, with the pair confirming their relationship in a sweet Instagram post. Jelena gushed over her man in the post, writing: 'You are my calm, safe, peaceful and happy place. So glad I found you.' The pair were first spotted cuddling up together at Melbourne Airport in May, with Jelena unable to wipe the grin off her face as she accepted an embrace from Yane.

Chloe Kelly incident that caused 'cocky gesture' controversy after Lionesses Euros win

Lionesses star Chloe Kelly has been on the end of some fierce criticism from the Spanish media after steering England to victory against Spain in the Euro 2025 final Chloe Kelly's celebration after her Euros-winning penalty triggered bitter criticism across the Spanish media, with some slamming her as 'cocky'. The Lionesses star netted the winning spot-kick in Switzerland on Sunday evening. ‌ And in the process, she ensured that Sarina Wiegman 's side would be returning with their European championship crown firmly in tow. And while her successful penalty triggered wild celebrations for her home nation, Kelly was not as popular in Spain. ‌ Members of the Spanish media slammed the Arsenal star for seemingly celebrating in front of Spain goalkeeper Cata Coll. They wrote: "This is unnecessary, my friend: Kelly's cocky gesture to Cata Coll after scoring the decisive penalty. The England specialist changed her run during her penalty celebration to get past the goalkeeper she had just beaten." ‌ Kelly, 27, has yet to speak out on her perceived 'cocky' celebration - but did explain her somewhat conventional run-up to her spot-kick that involved a skip and a jump. She said: 'To be honest, it started when I was at Everton, quite a few years ago now. "It's something that just works for me. I can't explain it too much. I actually spoke with one of the coaches the other day about it. 'It's just my routine that works for me. I take my time, I take my breath, and I'm confident in that. Taking a penalty normally would probably feel a bit weird to me. It's just my routine. Sometimes you miss, sometimes you score, but I was adamant I was not missing two on the bounce.' Meanwhile, she praised her teammates and boss Sarina Wiegman for making it back-to-back titles. She said: "I'm so proud to be English! ... Every girl out there with that dream: you can do it. Keep reaching for the stars." "I am so proud of this team,' Kelly added to BBC Sport. 'So grateful to wear this badge. So proud to be English. ‌ "Unbelievable. All the staff behind us and Sarina Wiegman - she has done it again! Unbelievable. It is going to be crazy. I hope the whole of England comes out to support us and shows their love to these girls as they deserve it." Despite the criticism from Spain, the celebrations continued once the Lionesses arrived back on home soil. They were given a warm welcome by supporters when they stepped off of their flight, while the team then received a red carpet reception at Downing Street on Monday.
