Latest Patriots moves hint at Stefon Diggs' training camp status
Multiple players, including Mack Hollins, Vederian Lowe, Austin Hooper, Jahlani Tavai, Carlton Davis III, Josh Minkins and Jeremiah Webb have been placed on either the active/PUP list or the active/non-football list. However, Diggs' name was not on the list of players who haven't been cleared to practice ahead of training camp.
That likely means he will be on the practice field when the team kicks off the first day of training camp on Wednesday, July 23. It's an incredible testament to his hard work and perseverance behind the scenes after tearing his ACL last October.
There is hope that Diggs can serve as a top receiving option for second-year quarterback Drake Maye. He has worked closely with the 22-year-old signal-caller, including traveling out to a throwing session with his new teammate held in North Carolina.
Before the injury, Diggs had six consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. The jury is still out on whether he can return to that same level of elite play after such a devastating knee injury.
It might be foolish to count him out after witnessing his incredible ACL recovery.

"Tank's had a good attitude," Caserio said. "Been in the building essentially every day. He is working really hard." DeMeco Ryans mentioned that Dell has been "crushing" the rehab process and has been in a great "headspace," but also wouldn't put a timeline on a recovery timeline. "Whenever Tank is ready to go back, he'll be back.," Ryans said. "I'm concerned about Tank as a young man, just getting back healthy, physically and mentally. When that time is set, he'll be back for us.' Dell, who underwent his latest surgery in March, was seen walking around without any noticeable limp. He's yet to speak to the media, signs are pointing toward his role maybe expanding closer toward the season's end. The Texans return to training camp on Monday.

He tore his ACL just before cut day as an undrafted rookie with a strong chance to make the team in 2023, and bounced back to play in 14 games last season. The Giants signed linebacker Chris Board during the offseason to fill a similar special teams role. And undrafted rookie receiver Dalen Cambre — a long shot to make the roster when camp opened — is in the NFL right now because of his special-teams excellence in college.

Report: Cards S Starling Thomas tore ACL in practice
Tests confirmed that Arizona Cardinals starting cornerback Starling Thomas V tore his ACL in Friday's practice, ESPN reported Sunday. Thomas, 25, has started 22 of his 29 games with the Cardinals since going undrafted out of UAB in 2023. He appeared in all 17 games (15 starts) last season and tallied 47 tackles, six passes defensed and one forced fumble. His career totals include 85 tackles and 11 passes defensed.
