
Radio Saada concludes sixth "Martyr of the Qur'an" competition
Sa'ada Local Radio concluded its annual Ramadan competition "Martyr of the Quran" by memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran, which was dedicated to the children of martyrs in its sixth consecutive season.
At the closing ceremony, Saada Governor Mohammed Jaber Awad praised the efforts made to support the children of the martyrs, stressing the importance of caring for and educating them, especially in the field of memorizing the Holy Quran.
For his part, the director of the radio Abdul Razzaq Al-Razhi explained that the competition lasted throughout the month of Ramadan with the participation of dozens of contestants from various directorates of the governorate, and two of them qualified for the final qualifiers.
Results:
- First place: Bader Al-Hatfi (received a cash prize and an automatic weapon provided by the Sixth Military Region).
- Second place: Amin Al-Awsji (cash prize from the radio).
The event came within the framework of religious and social interest in the children of martyrs and encouraging the memorization of the Holy Quran.

Hajjah Zakat Office implements projects worth over 2.18 Billion YER in 2024
Hajjah - Saba: Hajjah Governorate's Zakat Office has launched a wide range of humanitarian and development projects in 2024 totaling more than 2.186 billion riyals, benefiting over 80,000 citizens across the region. The initiatives included support for families of martyrs, the wounded, prisoners, and the poor, while also strengthening zakat resource development, which reached over 2.2 billion riyals. Key projects included Zakat al-Fitr for nearly 35,000 people, mass wedding and marriage support for over 1,200 individuals, medical aid for 3,793 cases, and debt relief for 210 beneficiaries. The office also provided grain distributions, in-kind zakat, charity kitchens during Ramadan, and social welfare assistance. The gas cylinder distribution project reached over 16,000 families, while 20 community initiatives and an emergency response project provided essential relief, especially in flood-affected areas. Additional support went to Quranic schools, orphanages, and digital archiving. Director Fayed al-Malahi stressed the office's commitment to improving performance, expanding social solidarity efforts, and increasing public awareness about Zakat's societal importance. He credited the success of decentralized disbursement for expediting aid delivery and called on citizens to continue supporting Zakat initiatives to sustain charitable efforts. Sana'a.. Summer courses conclude in Hamdan, Al-Tiyal, & Bani Bahlul
Sana'a - Saba: Sana'a province witnessed closing ceremonies for summer activities organized by the subcommittees of summer courses and general mobilization in the districts of Hamdan, Sanhan, and Bani Bahlul. In the closing ceremony in Hamdan district, attended by Deputy Governor Atef Al-Masalli, the district director and head of the summer courses supervisory committee, Fahd Attiya, praised the outcomes of the summer programs, which serve as a fundamental pillar in building youth awareness and fortifying them with the guidance of the Holy Quran. He urged students to preserve the knowledge they gained during the courses. Meanwhile, the head of the executive committee for summer courses in the district, Ali Al-Alban, stated that this year's summer courses saw significant turnout, noting that 19,663 male and female students enrolled in the courses across 158 open and model schools.
