Earlier this week, fans were quite excited to see that GTA VI is now available to download. According to the report, GTA fans who play on Xbox Series X/S are able to download the game to their consoles from the Microsoft Store.
It also stated that players can do this earlier via the web or the store on the console. But if we look at the facts, the download of the game is only 328.76 MB in size, as well as the fact that the game is 11 months away. This doesn't mean that players can play an early version of the game.
As per the report, the game is not available for pre-orders, and there is no chance that Rockstar will release the game anytime soon.

But what does the viral post mean?
Recently, a post shared by an X (formerly called Twitter) account @GTA6Alerts mentioned, "Attempting to play the game greets you with the cover art for a brief moment before it closes and boots you back to the Xbox dashboard."
By this state, the user means that this download only installs the preliminary files that will allow GTA 6 to preload when the game is officially launched. If a player has this on their console, the game will pre-install itself in the days before the release.
