
Alabama to reportedly receive visit from uncommitted 2026 quarterback prospect
According to reports, one of the nation's top uncommitted 2026 quarterback prospects will be visiting the Alabama Crimson Tide in the near future.
That quarterback is Matt Ponatoski, a four-star prospect who recently received an offer from the Crimson Tide back in mid-May. The visit to Alabama is reportedly set for June 6-8.
According to the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings, Ponatoski is currently considered the nation's No. 278 overall player in the 2026 class, as well as the No. 21 quarterback out of Archbishop Moeller High School in Ohio. There, the four-star signal caller is also ranked the No. 12 overall player in the state where he won Mr. Football in 2024 as a junior.
A two-sport athlete, Ponatoski is also a top baseball recruit in the 2026 class, and was also named to compete in the upcoming Elite 11 finals for football.
At the moment, Alabama does not have a quarterback committed in its' 2026 class.

Alabama defensive line target reportedly pushes back commitment decision
According to a report, an Alabama Crimson Tide football recruiting target has pushed back his commitment date. Yes, per a report from 247Sports' Tom Loy, Elijah Golden has reportedly pushed back his commitment to Aug. 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Golden's commitment was previously scheduled for July 26 where he was set to decide between four programs - Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Golden is considered as the nation's No. 184 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class at the moment, as well as the No. 26 defensive lineman nationally. A four-star prospect, Golden also ranks as the No. 26 player in the state of Florida this cycle where he attends Cardinal Mooney High School. Alabama's 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 5 nationally according to the 247Sports Team Rankings with 19 total commitments. Top 2026 basketball prospect reportedly schedules visit to Alabama
According to a report, one of the nation's top high school basketball prospects has scheduled a visit to the Alabama Crimson Tide. That prospect is Ikenna Alozie, who, according to Rivals' Joe Tipton, has reportedly scheduled an upcoming official visit to Alabama for the weekend of Sept. 6, the same weekend as the Crimson Tide's game vs. UL Monroe. Alozie also previously narrowed down his list of finalists to eight back in June, with the Crimson Tide making the cut alongside Arizona, Gonzaga, Houston, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, and Washington. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Alozie is currently ranked as the nation's No. 10 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class, as well as the No. 5 combo guard nationally. A five-star prospect, Alozie is also ranked as the No. 2 player in the state of Arizona where he attends Dream City Christian. Alabama does not currently have a player committed in their 2026 recruiting class.
