Stasie Kombuis owner reacts to drunk Presley Chweneyagae clips

Stasie Kombuis owner, Thato Jele, has shut down social media commentary about his lifestyle lounge being a bad influence on the late actor Presley Chweneyagae.
The 40-year-old was laid to rest last weekend after a shock death following 'respiratory complications'.
At his funeral, close pal Warren Masemola hinted that Presley loved partying and alcohol and would often surround himself with 'bad friends'. He also implied that establishments like Stasie Kombuis kept the star away from his family.
Speaking to Kaya FM, Stasie Kombuis, owner Thato Jele, responded to commentary that his lifestyle lounge and bar was a bad influence on Presley Chweneyagae.
He said, 'Presley was a beautiful human being, he loved my place. He personally told me that I was on the right track and that I was running a beautiful place.'
Jele also addressed several video clips of an intoxicated Presley Chweneyagae at a groove, which South Africans have presumed to be at Stasie Kombuis.
He continued: 'We are very big on family. We do not embarrass our clients. None of the videos that are trending online were taken at my place.
'My place is not a shebeen or a drinking spot. It's home to me and to my clients. That's why people keep coming back. A clip of Presley Chweneyagae intoxicated at a groove has resurfaced after his death. Images via X
During his tribute to Presley Chweneyagae, fellow actor Warren Masemola claimed the pair often quarrelled about prioritising family over bad friends.
He said at the star's funeral last weekend: 'My friend and I fought a lot. I don't understand people who don't fight with their friends and the people they love.
Warren hinted at Presley Chweneyagae's love of partying and booze. He recalled a time when he travelled to Pretoria to pick up Presley – presumably at the request of his wife – as 'he was being a nuisance'
He told funeral-goers: 'He dodged me, I found him at Stasie Kombuis [popular groove in Pretoria].'
Warren added that he found Presley with a group of friends who didn't have his best interests at heart.
He added: 'You owe it to yourself to talk to the one you love and say, 'Please, you have children at home. Go home. Your family needs you.'

Something on the side? Nando's pokes fun at Astronomer CEO

Nando's has done it again with another hilarious social media post, this time mocking Astronomer CEO Andy Byron who was recently caught cosying up to his alleged mistress during a Coldplay concert. While Nando's originated from South Africa, its Australian counterpart took a page out of its book with a cheeky advert. In an Instagram post, the flame-grilled chicken restaurant ran a promotion that poked fun at Astronomer CEO, Andy Byron. The ad read, 'Little something on the side? Enter Coldplay for a free regular side with any main.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nando's ANZ (@nandosaus) In a clip that broke the internet last week, Byron was caught canoodling with an employee, Kristin Cabot, during a Coldplay concert. Byron is a married man whose wife's name is Megan Kerrigan Byron. Lead singer Chris Martin said of the awkward moment: 'Either they're having an affair or they're very shy.' Meanwhile, Astronomer – the DataOps company Andy Byron worked for – has responded to the social media storm with a cheeky video of their own. In the clip, an unexpected guest – Gwyneth Paltrow, the ex-wife of Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin – made an appearance. In it, she tackled several 'burning questions' about the company and the scandal. Claiming that she had been 'hired on a temporary basis' in a PR post, Paltrow said: 'Astronomer has gotten a lot of questions over the last few days – and they wanted me to answer the most common ones.' The Hollywood actress went on to indirectly answer a few spoof questions about what had happened. 'We'll now be returning to what we do best: delivering game-changing results for our customers,' she added. The video comes after Andy Byron stepped down from his post as Astronomer CEO amid the backlash. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1 . Afrika Tikkun celebrated its talent day at DP World Wanderers Stadium

Smiles, cheers, and jubilation filled the DP World Wanderers Stadium on July 26 during Afrika Tikkun's talent day. The talent day is a chance for 3 000 children from different Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres around Gauteng to come together to show their talents. Afrika Tikkun is a South African non-profit organisation transforming the lives of children and youth from cradle to career. Also read: Scouts welcome Johannesburg Children's Home for weekend of fun and friendship The talent day was made up of sporting activities, including netball, soccer, running, and dance competitions. Afrika Tikkun's CEO, Marc Lubner, explained that although there were prizes for winners, every single child present would receive a prize. 'The Talent Day Initiative started approximately 12 years ago; we were a much smaller organisation. We've got a new group that's here today from Marikana, which is part of our latest outreach programme.' Lubner added that the NPO has begun to engage with children with disabilities in an inclusion programme. 'So rather than keeping the disabled children separate, we involve the children in mainstream.' 'The all-South African Stinger GC team is also testament to our country's rich golfing heritage, and we need to get behind our boys as a country when they are here, so that they can win their nation's inaugural tournament. 'Visitors will truly feel that they are in Africa, with access to a Big 5 reserve with lions and elephants – Dinokeng – less than an hour's drive from Steyn City. No LIV event will be anything like this one and we are confident that the world's golf lovers will make travelling to ours, the world's most beautiful country, a must-do trip on their calendar. 'LIV will also help to popularise golf in South Africa, and I also look forward to using the big concerts each day as a platform to show off our amazing home-grown, internationally competitive entertainment. We take our hats off to LIV as an organisation for heeding the call to include Africa on their calendar if they wish to call themselves a truly global brand. This is what we want to see for other sports too, from Formula One to the Summer Olympics.
