'Jurassic World Rebirth' comes out this week: How to watch all the 'Jurassic Park' movies ahead of the new one

Yahoo15 hours ago
Did you think people were done visiting Jurassic Park? Think again! Jurassic World Rebirth comes out this week, opening a brand new, star-studded chapter for the Jurassic franchise. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, Rebirth will revisit the old research facility island for the original Jurassic Park, with the trio on a mission to collect dino DNA. While it's a brand new moment in the franchise, there will likely be lots of references to both the original Jurassic Park trilogy and the Jurassic World trilogy. Need a refresher on the franchise? Here's where to watch all of the Jurassic Park movies (and shows! And… short films).
Jurassic Park (1993) — watch on Peacock, rent on Prime Video or Apple TV
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) — watch on Peacock, rent on Prime Video or Apple TV
Jurassic Park III (2001) — watch on Peacock, rent on Prime Video or Apple TV
Jurassic World (2015) — watch on Peacock, rent on Prime Video or Apple TV
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) — watch on Peacock, rent on Prime Video or Apple TV
Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) — watch on Peacock, rent on Prime Video or Apple TV
Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) — watch in theaters starting July 3
In addition to the seven movies, there are also two Netflix series based in the Jurassic Park world, though the shows are chronologically confusing (and animated):
Camp Cretaceous TV series (2020-2022) — watch on Netflix
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory TV series (2025) — watch on Netflix
There's also a 2019 short film and the deleted prologue for Jurassic World: Dominion:
Battle at Big Rock (2019, YouTube short film) — watch on YouTube
The Prologue — Jurassic World: Dominion (2021) — watch on YouTube
Jurassic World Rebirth comes out in theaters on July 2.

Dominion capped off the trilogy that focused on Owen Grady, meaning Rebirth has the potential to begin a new story basically anywhere. Director Gareth Edwards has said that Rebirth "felt like the beginning of a brand-new chapter in this franchise."
So, where does that new chapter begin? Five years after the events of Dominion, where dinosaurs have become old news, a team sets out on a secret mission to the oldest Jurassic Park island — the one that houses the now-defunct research facility. Their mission? To gather DNA samples from land, sea and air-dwelling dinosaurs to potentially create a groundbreaking new medicine.
Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett
Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis
Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid
Rupert Friend as Martin Krebs
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Reuben Delgado
Bechir Sylvain as Leclerc

SQUID GAME Creator Still Torn on Season 3 Finale, but the Cast Says It's a Wild Ride — GeekTyrant

With Squid Game Season 3 marking the end of Netflix's biggest series, fans were met with a conclusion that will no doubt spark conversations. But, the show's creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, admits he's still wrestling with how he feels about the final moments. He said: 'Even when I was writing season 3, I had to make a big decision at the end of the season. Because it's a finale of the whole series, the whole show. 'That decision was so difficult to make. I'm still thinking whether it's good or not, but the audience, the viewers will see. I cannot spoil that.' That's not exactly a confidence boost, but not all the voices involved are as uncertain. Series lead Lee Jung-jae, who plays Seong Gi-hun, believes Hwang landed exactly where he needed to. 'I thought that director Hwang's decision that he had made, he was very determined, and he knew what he was doing, but I'm sure that he went through a lot of internal debate and struggles.' Lee pointed out the unique challenge of ending a cultural phenomenon like Squid Game , especially with a character as layered as Gi-hun. 'Because, as we all know, it's just a hugely successful series. So when it's a story that big, how do you bring that to closure as director, writer, and creator? And especially for a character like Gi-hun, where do you leave his journey?' He also revealed that Hwang didn't make that call in a vacuum. 'He listened to a lot of other people's ideas as well. We would have discussions among ourselves, among the cast. He would also discuss it with me and the crew as well. 'But I believe that director Hwang came up with the most adequate, the most unpredictable, the most meaningful, and the most intriguing and entertaining ending possible. 'So personally, I am very happy with the finale, and you all are going to be able to see where it all ends soon, but I can guarantee you it's not going to be what you think.' And then there's Lee Byung-hun, who plays the mysterious Front Man, adding: 'Director Hwang keeps saying it's a finale, but when I first read it, I felt it could be a finale, [but] at the same time, it could be a new start. I'm not sure about that, it's my personal opinion, but if the audience's love and support increases, we never know what happens.' Whether it's truly the end or just the beginning of something else, Squid Game Season 3 is now streaming on Netflix. If you watched it, what did you think about the end?

The Two Records ‘Squid Game' Season 3 Just Broke On Netflix

Squid Game While it was fairly obvious that the final season (maybe) of Squid Game would rack up huge viewership, the show has now broken a pair of records that are above and beyond perhaps what was even expected. Netflix has just announced that season 3 of Squid Game has become the show with the most views in its first three days in the history of the service, 60.1 million. During those three days, it has already become the ninth most popular non-English TV season of all time, and it will no doubt rocket up that list to perhaps be second only to the original Squid Game season 1. I doubt it passes it, but maybe. The second record is that Squid Game season 3 debuted at #1 in all 93 countries that make up the Netflix user base. No other season of a show has done that before, as different regions will often have different tastes. But Squid Game is universal. Why is this setting records that Squid Game season 1 didn't, even though that is far and away Netflix's biggest show ever? That would be because when Squid Game first arrived, it was a slow burn because, well, no one had ever heard of this brand new property and may not have instantly chosen to watch a Korean-language series in many regions. However, word of mouth caught fire, and Squid Game started steamrolling into becoming the mega-giant series that it now is. Was? Is, I'd say, given that I fully believe the 'Squid Game Universe' is something Netflix is going to try to shape from here. Squid Game Netflix notes that one of those above points has changed over time, as 80% of Netflix users have watched some sort of Korean content on the service, where that region is where the most Netflix series come from outside of the US (even if it is a large disparity). Netflix has announced they will invest in even more Korean content from here. The Squid Game season 3 record has been set despite the fact that many fans seem to agree it…wasn't all that good of a finale. Season 3 has the lowest critic score of the series but a quite bad 50% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, as by the end, I would agree that the show devolved into something of a mess as it wrapped up Gi-hun's saga in strange ways that emphasized that maybe this show was never meant to have two more seasons and one more game, which was never the original plan until it was a hit. We will keep an eye on the records that continue to be set, and where it ends up in the pantheon of Netflix's most-viewed series. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram. ‘Content creator' needs to be a proper job, YouTube says

'Content creator' should be formally and officially recognised as a job, YouTube has said. A lack of recognition for those who make videos on YouTube and other sites is holding back the industry, the video company has claimed. Official recognition from the government as well as more engagement from the broader sector would allow for content creators to have better access to much-needed support, it said. That would mean including their work in official economic reporting, helping get access to financing and mortgages, and give them proper representation on official bodies. YouTube said that it could also help with more practical problems, such as getting access to spaces to record. They are the findings of YouTube's first ever 'Creator Consultation', a nationwide process that worked with creators to understand the difficulties in their industry. The publication is focused on the UK – where YouTube says creators are worth more than £2 billion to the economy – but it is the first of its kind from YouTube anywhere. Based on feedback from creators, the Google-owned platform is asking for government recognition including appointing a 'Minister for Creators', better industry representation, more skills and training, better access to finance and new rules for filming and infrastructure. YouTube is already in discussions with the government on those plans. It also says that it is helping with some of them, including launching a 'Content Incubator' in collaboration with the National Film & TV School to help teach skills to creators. 'It's been incredible to see the response from thousands of talented UK creators to this first-of-its-kind consultation,' said Alison Lomax, YouTube's managing director for UK and Ireland. Drawing on the Consultation´s findings, we are advocating for concrete policies—such as enhanced skills and training initiatives and improved access to finance—that will drive meaningful change for this crucial, often underserved industry. These advancements will ensure the influence, innovation, and talent of the UK creator economy can play a valuable role in the future growth of our overall creative industries and as a powerful export around the world.' The plans have drawn support from creators including Amelia Dimoldenberg, the host of Chicken Shop Date. 'We should support and nourish young, aspiring creators at the start of their journey who want to explore a variety of options and pathways, and in turn help them build teams which will help open the right opportunities to them,' she said.
