Ravens WR Reveals He 'Could Be That Piece'

Ravens WR Reveals He 'Could Be That Piece' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Former Clemson standout receiver DeAndre Hopkins signed a one-year, $5 million deal to join the Baltimore Ravens for 2025, adding depth and experience to the receiver room for two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson. Advertisement The Ravens have seemingly teetered on the brink of greatness, but have not been able to break through to a Super Bowl during the Jackson era. The closest they've come is 2023's AFC Championship game at M&T Bank Stadium, where the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs beat them 17-10. Hopkins recently spoke with Ravens insider Jamison Hensley about joining the Ravens and how he might fit in. "It seems like there's been a piece that's been missing," Hopkins said, per Hensley. "I could be that addition. I could not be that addition." Hopkins isn't worried about developing chemistry with Jackson, either. He said the two have been playing football long enough that that'll happen eventually. Advertisement "I don't think it's a [set] time frame," Hopkins said. "A guy like Lamar, who's a veteran quarterback, he's played a lot of football. Myself, I play a lot of football. We see things differently, but I've had rookie quarterbacks who have taken longer. So, it differs." Jackson is already a fan of Hopkins and can't wait to get on the field with him. "He is different," Jackson said. "He caught the ball so smoothly and got up [easily]. I don't even think he put his other hand on the ground to get up; he just caught the ball and just started [running]. That's some super vet type of stuff. It's just dope to have him [here], and I am looking forward to throwing a lot of touchdowns to him this year." Woman Speaks Out After Her Mom Is Accused of Prioritizing Family Photo Over Her Pregnancy Reveal in Viral Video (Exclusive)

Olena Perez and her husband tied the knot in May 2022 After a year of trying, she finally discovered she was pregnant on Father's Day 2023 Perez decided to post her mother's reaction to her pregnancy announcement on TikTok, and the video went viralWhen Olena Perez found out she was pregnant after nearly a year of trying, she could barely wait to tell her family. She decided to break the news during a casual dinner at a sushi restaurant, choosing the patio as the perfect spot to stage a group photo. But instead of a snapshot, someone was secretly recording the viral moment to come. In the video that was filmed back in 2023, Perez is seen holding up her positive pregnancy test, hoping for a heartfelt reaction, especially from her Ukrainian mom, who often asked when she'd finally be expecting. However, to Perez's surprise, her mom was so determined to capture the family photo that she neglected her daughter's big news. 'I thought she would be more excited and happier, but this was a typical reaction from my mom,' Perez tells PEOPLE exclusively. Since posting her mother's reaction online, the video has racked up over 30 million views, with some commenters suggesting the daughter should have announced the news differently. However, Perez says she had grown tired of being constantly asked if she was pregnant or when she planned to have a baby, and decided it was time to get it off her chest when they all got together. 'It took me a year to get pregnant and I was holding this news to myself for a bit as my parents were traveling and this was the first time we were seeing each other in person,' she explains. 'My mom also insisted on going to a sushi restaurant, so I needed everyone to understand up front why I wasn't eating anything," she adds. Looking back at the video, the 34-year-old says it was clear that everyone was confused, as no one seemed to be expecting the announcement. Besides her husband, Perez's mom, stepdad, uncle, aunt, and brother were all unaware she was pregnant. Apparently, Perez's mother thought her daughter had taken out the positive pregnancy test by mistake. 'I was annoyed she ruined the cute content moment, that's for sure, but I know my mom loves and cares about me and she is just the way she is,' Perez admits. 'People can perceive her as cold but to me she's just an Aquarius Sun and Scorpio Moon/Rising.' Her mom always pushed the family to take photos so she could post them on Facebook. Ironically, on this particular day, they ended up only recording the video – and never actually took a single photo. ''I'm not upset or surprised because my mother is a main character. She loves getting the photo,' Perez explained in a 'story time' update on TikTok. 'She will harass everyone to get a family photo – and thank God, 'cause now we have memories – but that day, we have no memory other than this video that came up in my memories randomly and I decided to repost.' Perez tells PEOPLE that if her mom hadn't been out of town when she first found out she was pregnant on Father's Day 2023, she would have shared the news with her privately. 'My advice would be to do it in private with just your mom so you can have a moment together and then announce it to the whole family,' she says. Despite her mom's underwhelming reaction, Perez, who gave birth to her son in February 2024, says she is the most loving grandmother to Mason. Perez plans on hopefully expanding her family with her husband in the near future. Read the original article on People
