Vince McMahon's true feelings towards Hulk Hogan after WWE legend's death

Vince McMahon has hailed Hulk Hogan as "the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME" following his death at the age of 71.
The wrestling legend, whose real name was Terry Bollea, passed away on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Hogan achieved 12 world championship titles and later became a television personality, with both he and McMahon, the former WWE chief, playing pivotal roles in the brand's meteoric success.
However, their relationship wasn't always smooth sailing, with several incidents causing friction between the pair.
The wrestler testified in McMahon's steroid trial in the 1990s, which led to the two not speaking. Hogan then walked out on the WWE to sign with rivals WCW and didn't return until 2002, after the company failed to take off.
Despite their differences over the years McMahon was full of praise for Hogan and made it known that he rated him above all of the individuals who competed in the WWE - also praising him for transcending his sport and entering the celebrity world.
He said on social media: "The world lost a treasure today. Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world. He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon.
"His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled - and made him the consummate performer. He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved. He leaves us with one of his favourite expressions, 'Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.' Today, we pray for him."
Hogan was the main draw for the first-ever WrestleMania in 1985 and was a regular for years in its most popular event, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 by Sylvester Stallone.
After his wrestling Hogan went on to appear in numerous movies and television shows, including a reality show about his life on VH1, "Hogan Knows Best".
A statement from the organisation read: "WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture's most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan's family, friends, and fans."
One of the sport's best known figures, The Undertaker, said: "The wrestling world has lost a true legend. His contributions to our business are immeasurable, and for that, I am appreciative. Thank you, Hulk Hogan."

Huge protests as Donald Trump tees off at Turnberry in Scotland

Hundreds of people have taken to the streets to protest against US President Donald Trumps visit to Scotland this week, waving anti-Trump slogans and 'Free Gaza' signs as the President began his five day visit to Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Demonstrators showed their support for the war-torn enclave of Gaza by waving Palestinian flags as the President took to the golf course at Trump Turnberry in South Ayrshire, under the close eye of his heavy security detail. Previously, the President had caused upset on Friday, when he claimed that France's recognition of a Palestinian state 'doesn't matter'. Hundreds of people have taken to the streets to protest against US President Donald Trumps visit to Scotland this week, waving anti-Trump slogans and 'Free Gaza' signs as the President began his five day visit to Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Pic:Trumps security force included the army, navy and counter-terrorism police, who completed security checks on the course, with police snipers keeping a watchful eye from scaffolding set up all around the area. Sky News reported that Trump was blaring pop music as he drove his golf buggy around the Turnberry course, including hits like 'Uptown Girl' by Billy Joel, 'Memory' by Elaine Paige and 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' by Simon & Garfunkel. So far no reports of YMCA by the Village People, but we can probably expect a blast of that as he finishes his round. Pic:The visit comes after Trump ed tributes to his 'great friend' Hulk Hogan who has died at the age of 71 earlier this week. Taking to X (Twitter) Trump honoured the wrestler when he wrote 'We lost a great friend today, the 'Hulkster'. Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way. Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart. He went on to enthuse, 'He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive'. Trump and Hogan have been friends for over 30 years having met back in the 1980s. The US President went on to say, 'To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed'. Hulk Hogan publicly endorsed Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention, sending the audience wild as he waved the American flag before Trump took to the stage.
