Acting Minister of Oil and Gas of the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Abdul-Sadig, has expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the Austrian company OMV in natural gas projects. Abdul-Sadig held a bilateral meeting with a high-level delegation from the Austrian company OMV last Wednesday, on the sidelines of his participation in the 9th World Symposium of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Ministry of Oil and Gas stated on its Facebook page on Friday that the meeting discussed developments in OMV's work in Libya, during which both parties expressed their desire to expand joint cooperation in natural gas projects, given Libya's promising potential and its strategic role in enhancing global energy security, particularly in Europe.
