London Weather Forecast For IND Vs ENG, 3rd Test: Will Rain Impact The Contest At Lord's?
After an inspirational comeback win at Edgbaston, India levelled the five-match Test series against England 1-1. The two great rivals now collide in the third Test at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground on Thursday (July 10). Shubman Gill's rejuvenated Indian touring party face off against Ben Stokes' wounded English side, which will be determined to regain ascendancy.
Having suffered a dispirited loss in the opening Test at Headingley, India's young, in-transition side bounced back strongly in Birmingham with a collective performance led by their captain Shubman Gill, who played two defining knocks of 269 and 161. India's two biggest positives, however, came on the bowling front after seamers Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj shared 17 wickets between them to hand the visitors a massive 336-run triumph.
For England, the defeat would have hurt because they headed into the contest as favourites. Ben Stokes' men were outplayed in crucial phases as India utilisied the new-ball well to secure a big win.
Lord's Test Weather Forecast
The hot weather in England is set to continue with the Lord's Test. Almost no rain has been forecast for the five-day encounter. The temperature will range between 16 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of up to 10 km/hour and humidity around 84 per cent.
Ahead of the Test, the pitch at Lord's wore a greenish look with extra watering and grass cover left on the strip by the curator. While most of the pitches in England's Bazball era under Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum have been great for batting, this could be slightly different. Seamers could enjoy their time out in the middle with some extra spice and seam movement on offer.

England vs India LIVE SCORE UPDATES, 3rd Test Day 3: Rahul-Pant put up 100-run stand; 200 up for IND
ENG vs IND 3rd Test Day 3 Live Updates: As Day 3 of the third Test between England and India begins at Lord's, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will take the crease to start the day for India, looking for a first-innings lead. The wicket at Lord's has been pretty tricky so far, with batters finding it tough to score runs with ease, and things are unlikely to change today. But Rahul is set, and a sensible way of batting is his style of play. He will also have Pant playing alongside him, who can punish any bad ball bowled by the English bowlers. On the other hand, England will feel comfortable with three wickets for just 145 runs conceded, as they will try to get one or two wickets early in the day to put India on the back foot. Need of aggression with sensibility While keeping it steady has been the mantra for batters so far in the match, India will still need to add some quick runs as only two days of play will be left after today, and it might be tough to end both innings quickly if batters decide not to go for big ones. India vs England 3rd Test Day 2 Highlights On Day 2, India first bundled out England for 387 in the first innings, thanks to Bumrah's five-wicket haul. But their start with the bat was underwhelming as Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) lost his wicket to Jofra Archer early. Karun Nair (40) looked in good form but was dismissed by a brilliant catch from Root off Stokes. The last wicket on the day for India was probably the biggest one, as it was skipper Shubman Gill who fell for just 16. Rahul (53*), and Pant (19*) kept things steady after that as India finished the day with 145 for 3 on the board, still trailing by 242 runs. Alcaraz's never-give-up mindset is the hallmark of a true champion: Sachin Tendulkar
London: Sachin Tendulkar became the most recent Indian icon to be seen watching the intense action that unfolded in the Wimbledon semi-finals at the Centre Court of the All England Tennis Club on Friday. A gripping day unfolded on the Center Court as Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz indulged in a gritty battle which the former won 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (6). Although the first semi-final provided much excitement, World No.1 Jannik Sinner breezed past Novak Djokovic in straight sets to set up yet another final against the Spaniard, a month after the two went toe-to-toe in a grand encounter in the Roland Garros final. Tendulkar revealed his favourite tennis players, his headband inspiration from John McEnroe and why he has huge respect for Carlos Alcaraz. 'I grew up admiring John McEnroe. I remember all my friends supported Bjorn Borg, but for some reason, I always backed McEnroe. I would even wear a headband like him, hoping people would call me McEnroe while I walked around with my friends. In more recent years, though, it has to be Roger Federer. I've enjoyed watching Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, all of them, but somehow, Roger takes the cake. 'Among the current players, Carlos Alcaraz really impresses me - his energy is infectious. I love the spring in his legs, his attitude, and the mental toughness he showed at the French Open. That never-give-up mindset is the hallmark of a true champion. Not all tennis players become champions, but the preparation and rigour they go through - I have huge respect for that,' said Tendulkar to JioHotstar. When asked which Indian cricketer would he choose to partner him in doubles, Tendulkar replied, 'I've played doubles with Yuvraj Singh before. We teamed up against some of our 2003 World Cup teammates, and we ended up becoming champions. So I'd settle for Yuvraj again - no question.' Tendulkar was also present on Day 1 of the Lord's Test between India and England. The former batter rang the bell to commence the day's play and on the same day, his portrait by artist Stuart Pearson Wright was unveiled in the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Museum.
