Carl Ludwig Oliver Haarman – who goes by the name Oliver - is a German born private-equity financier, having graduated from Brown University and Harvard Business School with a master's in business administration. Currently, he divides his time between London and New York. Born in September 1967, he is around 57 years old – making him eight years older than 49-year-old Reese. Oliver co-founded Searchlight Capital Partners in 2010, overseeing billions of pounds in assets. Before establishing his own private equity firm, he was a partner at KKR. As well as being very successful in his line of work, he's also a philanthropist. He's a trustee of Brown University, is said to chair IntoUniversity in the UK, and co-founded the Surgo Foundation – a charity he founded with his ex-wife Mela, and their friend Sema Sgaier. When it comes to his charity work, it seems Oliver's main passion is using his mammoth wealth to help disadvantaged children access university education. It also turns out that Oliver is a huge sports fan. The financier owns shares of the New York Islanders hockey team, having bought a 10% stake around December 2023. As of 2024, it was reported that the financier has a impressive net worth of around $440 million (£327.18 million), thanks to his many investments. Oliver shares two sons with his ex-wife, Mala Gaonker. A fellow financier, it's not know exactly how long Mala and Oliver were married – but it's speculated the pair split sometime before 2022. Around that time, Reese was also going through her own divorce. The Big Little Lies star was married to Jim Toth, 54, for 12 years. The couple – who share a son named Tennessee, 12 – announced their split in 2023, writing, 'We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.' BBC EastEnders Oscar Branning actor's real age leaves fans gobsmacked
EastEnders fans were left stunned after discovering the true age of the actor who plays Oscar Branning, who returned to the BBC soap earlier this week. EastEnders fans were left stunned after learning the real age of actor Pierre Moullier, who plays Oscar Branning on the BBC soap. Oscar was introduced as the third child of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner). The character was born in 2007 amid his dad's affair with daughter-in-law Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). He was last seen in the Square back in 2017 after visiting Max briefly on Father's Day and has since been living away from Walford with Tanya, following her split from Max. However, this week marked the return of Oscar to the soap, now played by actor Pierre Moullier. The character made his reappearance in Monday's episode where he rang sister Lauren Branning after finding himself in a bit of trouble. The return of Oscar was announced last month, with new executive producer Ben Wadey revealing that "there's going to be plenty of drama in store this summer", according to Plymouth Live. Pierre described joining the soap as "pretty surreal" and hinted that "the audience should be prepared for the unexpected as he's a complex guy". Prior to his stint in EastEnders, Pierre features in Channel 4 series Cast Offs back in 2009. He also had a more minor role in Netflix's Fate: The Winx Saga. However, it's the actors age which has caused many fans to be left stunned. While Oscar is 17 years old on the BBC One soap, actor Pierre Moullier himself is around 24 or 25. On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, viewers expressed their surprise that Pierre is actually in his mid-twenties, as they quickly racked up comments. EastEnders fans were left gobsmacked after finding out the news. One person wrote, "The new actor who plays Oscar Branning is 24 or 25! Wth," one viewer couldn't hide their surprise. Another fan was equally astonished, as they quipped, "No way is he 25." A third chimed in, expressing their disbelief: "What? ! I thought he was like 18!". The Branning family is set for further drama as it's not just Oscar making a return to EastEnders. Max Branning, Oscar's dad, is also set to make a comeback to Albert Square as we reported previously. Jake Wood, the actor famed for portraying Max, shared his enthusiasm about rejoining the cast. He said, "I'm over the moon to be coming home to Walford. Max has got lots of unresolved drama with many characters, so I'm sure he'll be busy." He continued, hinting at an eventful storyline ahead: "I'm excited to see what he's been up to, and what is next for the character, but if his last 15 years in the Square are anything to go by, I'm sure there will be plenty of chaos."

EastEnders has confirmed Oscar Branning's (Pierre Moullier) sexuality during a conversation with his uncle Jack (Scott Maslen). The newcomer burst onto our screens yesterday, having been released from a three-month stretch in a young offenders for joyriding. His sister Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) begrudgingly took him in, less than enthused by the fact that Oscar's associates tried to petrol bomb their mum Tanya's (Jo Joyner) house upon realising he'd tipped off the police about their actions. He also became reacquainted with Ian and Peter Beale (Adam Woodyatt and Thomas Law), whom he hadn't seen since his childhood. From the moment Oscar laid his eyes on Peter, he became an unstoppable force of flirtation. From nicknaming him 'Hot Pete' to promising not to watch him in the shower, exclaiming 'smash' as soon as he saw him, and telling Lauren that he wouldn't sleep with her fiancé, Lauren's little brother instantly made quite the impression. Then, in tonight's episode, he woke up naked on the sofa and invited Peter to join him. Utterly outrageous, but the fans are totally here for it.
