MOE Probing Claim Pakistani National Officiated School Sports Event
IPOH, June 27 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Education (MOE) is investigating claims that a Pakistani national officiated a school sports event in the Kerian district, said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
'We are looking into the matter,' she told reporters briefly after attending the Perak-level Maal Hijrah 1447H celebration, which was officiated by the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah here Thursday night.
A video recently circulated on social media showed the man being given the honour of launching the athletics meet at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sama Gagah in Simpang Empat Semanggol.

PSM Agrees To Change Name To Malaysian Sepak Takraw Federation
KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 (Bernama) -- The Sepak Takraw Association of Malaysia (PSM) has agreed to change its name to the Sepak Takraw Federation of Malaysia (Malay acronym remains as PSM) soon. Its president, Datuk Mohd Sumali Reduan said the decision was made at yesterday's Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) after the motion to amend the association's constitution received the support of over two-thirds of the total delegates. He pointed out that the name change would only take effect if the constitution amendment is approved by the Sports Commissioner. bootstrap slideshow 'All amendments to the constitution will take effect after being approved by the Sports Commissioner. MALAYSIA SEEKS WIN-WIN SOLUTION WITH INDONESIA ON AMBALAT ISSUE
AM TANGKAK, June 29 (Bernama) -- Malaysia will work towards achieving a 'win-win' solution with Indonesia on the maritime boundary issue in Ambalat, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan. He said this could be achieved through the formation of a joint development authority to spur economic growth and address technical issues in the area. 'Why don't we jointly explore the mineral resources there so that both countries can benefit from them? 'In addition, we will continue talks and negotiations on the border. So we don't want a 'lose-lose' situation (between the two countries),' he told reporters after officiating the Ledang UMNO Division Delegates' Meeting at Dewan Putra Padang Lerek here today.
